Carpet was installed incorrectly and started coming up the next day, plus they installed a cheaper padding rather than what I paid for! Gilford Lowe's and installation support has horrible customer service, and keeps sending the installer back to my house without the materials to fix the issue. It has been a month now and we had to delay our move because the carpet still isn't installed correctly. They are refusing a refund or compensation and customer service literally recommended I pursue a credit card chargeback rather than helping or getting a manager to assist. Please do yourself a favor and use any other carpet installation company!!

Now the reason for the review: After buying a second house in Laconia last Nov, I was excited to learn the local hardware store, Boulia Gorrell was in fact a Benson's owned store. Our new house needed a full bathroom gut and remodel. My wife and I met with a salesman in their Kitchen & Bath design Center. He came to the house, drew pictures, took dimensions and referred us to a contractor. Although it seemed odd when he said we would contract the job directly with the builder/ contractor we decided to give it a go. Wayne, from Boulia Gorrell said he would be back in contact to help advise and coordinate the design part of the job. We NEVER heard back from him. We did have a few additional meetings with the contractor he recommended. He "appeared" to have the necessary experience and at first was very prompt following up. Then things changed. Excuse after excuse as to why he was late responding, why he hadn't had time to provide a quote and so on. You get the picture. Obvious red flags. Needless to say, we discontinued discussions and found a very reputable bath remodel company who we ended up hiring. BTW we were very happy with the results. The moral of the story - beware of using the Boulia Gorrell design center. Not sure how they stay in business with their lack of focus on customers who spend almost $20k. Not one bit of materials or supplies were purchased for this job from BG.

Beware. Rented a flooring nailer that jammed. Brought it back and they said I had the wrong…read morecompressor. I said ok then rent me the correct compressor and another nail gun. Brought new gun home with the other compressor and it jammed too. I've rented two nail guns from another rental company and never had an issue. They wouldn't take the nails back because they don't take back unfull boxes but they sold me an unfull box. Edging sander left burn marks in new floor. I've rented here for 20 years but I don't know what has happened here with quality. I won't be back. Wasted a lot of time on a project that should have been a quick one.
