I must have gotten a good morning welcome to Ace a dozen times. The grill accessories are front and center about thirty feet from the entrance and the is an impressive variety of grilling supplies - I'm a man so of course I had to do some window shopping even though the lump charcoal was neatly stacked directly in front of me, what could of been a two minute visit turned into twenty. I had several people recommend B & B Texas Style Oak Lump Charcoal over time so after looking online and seeing that it was in stock here I decided to make a trip to grab a twenty pound bag since it is the closes Ace Hardware to my home. Like others have stated the store seems a bit disorganized but with all the help on the floor I doubt it would be difficult to locate anything they stock. So why only 4-stars, well the checkout process although extremely friendly and staffed by two cashiers was extremely slow - I think I was 6-8 people back when I lined up and it took quite sometime to pay for the one item and get on my way. This way my first time stopping in but definitely won't be my last - this place is filled with almost anything hardware you can imagine. Ace Hardware usually has great items, value and service. BUT the major difference between the…read morelocations are based on who is the franchise owner. One my second ever visit to this location, I found out that they really didn't want to help out their customers. I had an item that was purchased from another Ace location and wanted to return it and buy a similar one that better fit my needs. Since I didn't have a receipt, I figured there would be no problem since it was a $4.00 item and I was buying about $20.00 of merchandise. They would NOT accept the return (again I wasn't looking for cash, just credit towards the new purchase) even though they stocked the item as well. It's sad to put a blemish on ACE Hardware's name due to a franchise owner who cares more about money than pleasing his customers. I can say that anyone in the area would be better served going to the Madden ACE hardware stores (South Daytona, Holly Hill Daytons beachside, etc) as they care about their customers and make sure you're treated like family and not as a cash cow begging to me milked. You've been warned

I was scheduled for an interview and the morning of the interview I received a phone call stating the job had been filled. If you don't interview each person that applied for the job, how do you know you have selected the right person to fill the job? I know at some point you have to cut off the applicants, but to schedule an interview, then to be told the job has been fill 1 HOUR before your interview is incredibly unprofessional. If that's the type people in management at Lowes, I am very glad they canceled. And to top that off, the posting for the job is still active at the time of this review.
