The black piping that I had was poly-something-or-another, and I realized that I didn't, in fact, know what I was doing...at all. So, when I walked into ACE, I essentially held up the bit of black piping that I had removed and was like, "How do I fix this?" Not only was I pointed in the right direction to find the correct replacement piping, but a phenomenal employee also helped me find the correct items for the repair and walked me through the steps to fix it. Alright, round two -- I repaired the pipe just as instructed and I still found myself with a light dribble of water coming out, no matter how tight I got the clamps. I walked into ACE a second time with a picture of the repair work on my phone. I asked the same employee, "Did I do this right?" and shared that it was still dripping. He gave me a patch to wrap around the coupling inserts, further instructions, some words of encouragement, and I was on my way again. Round three. I took it all apart and added that patch and BAM, worked like a charm. In my son's own words, "Wow, I didn't realize this would be an all-day project." Me neither, bud, haha. But I am SO beyond grateful for the friendly and helpful staff at ACE. Couldn't have done it without you guys!
