Of all the coffee shops I've tried in the area .... This place was by FAR heads & tails above the rest. Quality matcha and quality coffees exist here. The only thing I would recommend to this store ... is ... please use LESS matcha powder. You have beautiful green color there.. dark green ...., however .. it's SO strong they no matter how much sugar I added ... it still tasted like green grass ... just too too strong. Back off on the amount of matcha powder you use and it will be exactly right. Just a recommendation. Loved the friendliness of the staff ! Very nice place !

Enjoyed an Iced Vanilla Latte from Harbinger!

I went to Harbinger Coffee on my last trip to visit Fort Collins. I lived in Fort Collins about ten years ago and I am pretty sure the place wasn't around then as Steve and I did do a good job at visiting every coffee shop in town at least once. The place has a clean, sleek feel whI always appreciate and the Vanilla Latte I had with a pastry item I liked pretty well. I enjoyed the barista for her unique look. I can't quite describe what she was going for but it was kind of on the lines of a demented clown look that was quite purposeful. One thing when I lived in Fort Collins that really bothered was the lack of quirkiness in people so I found this extremely refreshing and kudos to the coffee shop owners for letting their staff let their individuality shine. I bought a bag of beans to take home (Washington state) and brought them to work where we share and rotate different coffee varieties from around Tacoma with my colleagues. The coffee on the day brewed that I purchased from Harbinger tasted great but often times if it was refrigerated and polished off the next day the flavor somehow turned unappealing. Granted, fresh coffee is preferred by me and my colleagues but we aren't about to waste any leftover coffee from the day before and the coffee that we bring in... all from Washington state almost always holds well over into the next day so I am not too sure why there is such a difference with the bag at Harbinger.

Cute little coffee and little breakfast/snack spot! Coffee is great and can't wait to come back again and stay.

Storefront and a cup of my iced coffee.

Very good iced lattes. I love the ice that they use :-) and fantastic almond croissants. Very comfortable and nice ambience in this café. Very nice barista whose name I forgot to ask.

The Peruvian coffee with pistachio was really good. Had a cappuccino. That was blah. There was a long line but went quickly

Our favorite third-way coffee shop in town! We are here at least once a week and love the baked goods and burritos as well

Much better coffee available around town. Espresso martini: 5/5 very dark. Great place to work with colleagues or alone. People seem to like to meet up here and talk vs work though. The bar almost resembles something you might find in a small European hotel, which may suggest they are aiming for a slightly upscale tone, though it never feels pretentious. The seating is varied, with small tables and retro chairs that seem intentionally chosen rather than bought in bulk. The spacing is better than most coffee shops, which makes it easy to settle in without feeling crowded. The back area opens up even more, and the soft drapery adds a touch of personality that appears to hint at events or just a bit of flair. The staff continues to be the standout for me. Everyone I spoke with was kind in a way that felt natural, and they knew the menu well enough to help me navigate dairy free options. I usually order the avocado toast on focaccia because it is consistently fresh. The bread looks oversized at first but is airy and soft, and the avocado and radish topping feels simple in the best way. The matcha made with water has also become a go to since it tastes smooth and well-bodied without that chalky, thin finish some places have. My partner and I visited during their Dia de Los Muertos weekend and tried a few themed items. Everything was good, and they were quick to suggest dairy free choices. Prices seem fair, even with the general bump everywhere lately. The only thing I wish they had more of is outlets. It is still a nice place to work for a couple of hours, but coming with a charged laptop helps. The overall vibe is calm with just enough energy to keep the space from feeling sleepy. It works well for coffee dates, casual catch ups, or solo work, especially for anyone who prefers a relaxed atmosphere without too much chaos.

I got a bacon breakfast Bonfire Burrito and a matcha latte. Though prepackaged, it's was heated up nicely and it was very flavorful, a lot going on! I ordered a hot tea blend and it was yummy and just the right temperature on a cold day. I appreciate when baristas offer a "for here" mug right away rather than the disposable variety. We sat around the corner, just behind the baristas' work area. They have a small display of items to purchase from local artisans and such, which added charm and a cozy feel to the space. Our table doubled as a chess, backgammon, and checkers board and set and there were other board games stored, I imagine, for customers to use. Bike-in on the adjacent bike trails and get a bit of a discount on your purchase and reduce extra time spent on parking your car. They have four parking spots just behind the building. Hot tip: bundle up for a stroll during the winter months and grab free parking on Remington.
