Cant say enough great things about this place, engine never ran better, work was done quickly and they don't take advantage of you. Just GREAT quality work at a very reasonable price, and your back on the water ASAP. Thank you again, Chip. read more

I had another issue with the water pump, I thought I really damaged the motor, but they fixed the issue better than the previous shop and much faster! Gotta admit these guys know their stuff, will repeat read more

Stay Away, they are literally thieves. Long story short, they told me the ecu was defective and I decided to order a used replacement part (which cost $500). I brought the part to them to start to repair to only find out that they didnt even use the part that i brought them. I confronted the older gentlemen (owner?) and he gave me the most ridiculous story and tried to cover up their lie. I told them that I knew they were lying and to just give me my part back which they claimed they threw away. I left that day and told them I would report them to the authorities for stealing a $500 part and magically they made up a completely different story and they found the part that they were supposed to replace. I went and picked up my part the next day. Total scammers. Be aware and check their work. I will continue to report them on all fronts. read more

Service, both on the phone and as a walk in customer was professional and friendly. Price was very competitive and they had a good inventory supply. I highly recommend them...I called for directions and was advised as to an accident blocking traffic and they gave me an alternate route which avoided the mishap and saved me time on the road...Two thumbs up for that too! It's good to find a Merc OB supplier... Billy B read more

I have used this great service shop for 20 years. They are professional and care about their customers. I called yesterday which was a Saturday five minutes before closing time. Kevin helped me determine which electrical part was bad on my boat. They had the part in stock and he took payment via credit card. He offered to hide the part in their mailbox so I could come pick it up after hours. Without his help I would not of been able Leave on our trip out of town to go boating! Thanks Kevin! read more

Harbin Marine is an honest, knowledgeable and fair mercury and mercruiser repair shop and dealer. Years ago, I had a problem with a Mariner outboard, and had bad experiences and incorrect diagnosis from three different mechanics. Finally, someone recommended Harbin Marine. They diagnosed the problem quickly and correctly, and had me back on the water in about a week. They are a long-time, family owned and family run business. They know their stuff, and do good work. I can't recommend Harbin Marine highly enough. There are other repair shops in the area, but try them at your own peril. Maybe there are other good ones -- it's likely -- but I know for a fact that there are several bad ones in the area, and while I won't stoop to naming-names, I will say that Harbin Marine is tops, and the only mechanic in the area that I will use for mercury or mercruiser work. (Note: Tyme N Tyde is also awesome for Mercruiser work, but they only work on boats that are kept at their marina, and they only work on Mercruiser I/O's or inboards, so it's not really an option for outboards, or for most boaters in the area who don't keep their vessel at Tyme N' Tyde. Nonetheless, if you keep your boat at Tyme N Tyde, you're in good hands there too!) :-) read more

I have been using Harbin since the late 90s - they are by far the best Mercury service people around. They are fair and ultra knowledgeable- highly recommend read more

I read great reviews and decided to reach out. Chip was great, easy going, straight forward. I was told it was first come first serve which sounds right to me. He told me it could be up to two weeks before they were able to get to my needs. WOW! It was done in less than 4 Days. Very surprised and extremely satisfied. I would recommend Harbin, a family owned business to everyone. Thanks again Chip, you are the man :) read more

The other review must be from an employee because these guys are far from honest. They claimed my boat was too heavy which caused water to get in the engine. Over the years they have charged me thousands of dollars only to find out it was a cracked exhaust header. Chip if you read this, my pride challenge is still on the table. You messed up and won't even admit it. I highly recommend you do not use Harbin Marine. They are over priced and poor mechanics to boot. read more

I am the type of guy who hates dealing with mechanics and sales people. I always feel like I get treated like a moron and get taken advantage of. My outboard was having problems that exceeded my limited mechanicals skills. I was taking my boat on vacation and only had two weeks remaining, so I reluctantly brought my boat to Harbin Marine, with little to no options left. I was afraid that no one would be able to fix it in such a tight window. I brought my boat in on a Monday and had it back on Wednesday evening of the same week! At what I thought was a very fair price for the amount if work and service they did. The mechanic that I first met who did the initial diagnosis and Chip treated me with a great deal of respect and like a valued customer. I had 3 carbs rebuilt, new fuel lines and a connector on my fuel tank repaired. I went from a complete desperate panic about my boat and vacation to complete peace of mind a boat that hasn't run this good in years! The little things also made huge difference, I never connected or disconnected my trailer when I was there they always stepped up and made sure that was done for me, they greased all of my grease points on my outboard. I had screws that were missing in random locations that they replaced and changed my lower unit oil (service was not requested, but they barely charged me for it). This in now "my mechanic" and I will no longer have to panic when I have issues because I look forward to seeing these guys again and have complete confidence in their service! They were also very informative with every random questions I could come up with while I was there. There seems to be pretty good culture at the shop, I saw a couple seasoned guys a couple young bucks and it seems like they all work well together. There is good training and mentoring going there and I just got good vibes being there from everyone around. Even the other customers seemed to be happy and in good spirits, which you don't find when people are pumping out money for broken toys. They seem to be doing it right over there! I HIGHLY recommend Harbin Marine! read more

Brought my boat in to get the motor looked t for a strating problem. Chip did an awesome job figuring it out. Didn't try to upsell anything. Told me what the problem was and why it was happening. I have been a customer of Harbin Marine for many years. The associates at Harbin Marine have provided my family services from Winterization, simple maintenance, shrink wrapping to full engine replacement. The advice has always been spot on and the services were always based on my needs, not theirs. If you are looking for honest, reliable service, I would highly recommend the guys at Harbin Marine. read more

These guys are the most honest and reliable folks in the area. I've been taking my Ranger bass boat to Chip for many years now and he's done a ton of work on it. I've sent many friends his way including another Ranger 3 series which was given a full mechanical and electrical restoration. I have 100% faith and trust in these guys and they continue to get the job done at a reasonable price. These guys are no strangers to sonar installs, power pole installs, and other custom installs, and they give you a timeline, estimate, and expected return date, they are always dead on. -BayBass Bryan read more

I have my boat sitting at a friends house near Harbin Marine. I wanted to get it shrink wrapped before the snow last month but was unable to get down there to get the boat to their shop. Chip went and picked it up and wrapped it before the snow on 5 minutes notice. This was my first experience with Harbin Marine, and it will not be my last! read more

I had my 2013 Red Chapparal H2O at Harbin Marine this summer with an alarm that I had thought was going to be major damage and I was leaving for vacation in 4 days. I relayed all this info to Chip and his staff and they said not to worry. They water tested it, fixed the alarm, water tested it again and fixed it. Chip called and explained everything in a manner which I could understand and I also asked him several questions and he had no problem answering them all. He also filed the claim with Mercery. Great experience and I will be taking by boat to Harbin in the future. Thanks. read more

Terrible return policy. They wanted to charge me a 20% re-stocking fee for an un-opened item. Obviously could not care less about customer satisfaction. read more

Honest, professional and prompt with repairs. They explain everything in detail and their diagnosis is always right. They are patient and understanding when my marine mechanic brother from Pungent Sound coaches me in questions to ask when a breakdown occurs and he assesses Harbine is always right. I had a problem with my bass boat not starting. Most other marine repair centers had a 3-4 week backlog to even look at it. I called Harbin Marine and they said they could look at it in just a few days. They ran diagnostics on the Mercury outboard and tested it for two days but couldn't duplicate the problem. Chip said the motor ran great and didn't need any tuning. He gave me some tips on starting the motor and installed a new trim tab at my request. I was afraid to see the bill, but it was VERY reasonable and the whole team I dealt with at Harbin Marine was very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

I have used Harbin Marine on four occaisons since purchasing a used Stingray 200cs in June of 2010 from a private owner. As a novice boat owner, I have relied on their expertise and recommendations each time. They have gone out of their way to make sure my boat was repaired correctly and at very reasonable prices. Some of these repairs were completed on the same day. Harbin Marine exceeded my expectations on every visit.
