I've been to the San Jose Flea Market a few times with my family on Sundays. This place is huge,…read morewith plenty of parking, although parking fees have gone up $10 on Saturdays and $20 on Sundays. From what I understand, they're open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends, and Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are lots of food trucks and plenty of seating throughout the market. It can get pretty crowded at times, especially on Sundays, but overall it's manageable. The restrooms have always been clean whenever we've visited, and there are ATMs available on site. You can find almost anything here clothes, household items, snacks, and more making it a fun place to spend a few hours with family. There's also a large produce section with a bakery right in the center, which gets very busy but is worth checking out. Overall, it's a lively spot with plenty to see and do, making it a great place to spend time with family if you don't mind the crowds. The value is decent if you plan to spend a few hours browsing, grabbing a bite, or making some purchases, though the high weekend parking fees do bring it down. One thing to note: we've occasionally encountered teens and sometimes older men approaching people asking for money, claiming they need it for food. Later, we've seen them gathered in small groups. Just something to be aware of stay alert and mindful of your surroundings.

IMHO This is a great…read moremonthly swap meet held on the parking lot grounds of De Anza College in Cupertino, on the first Saturday of each month, from 8-2. I attend maybe two or three times a year, whenever I'm looking for special, vintage treasures, or the occasional seasonal plants or succulents for my garden. You really can't beat the variety and prices here. This visit I found two gallon-sized plants for $5 each, a purple kale plant for $3, and 11 mini succulents for $1-2 each, plus a pretty glass bowl to hold an orchid plant. I spent nearly 2 hours here and only managed to walk through half of the flea market! It's fun to see people walking through the parking aisles sometimes pulling wagons or carts to hold their many purchases or cradling their new orchid plants. If you're hungry, there are food trucks near De Anza's Euphrat Museum. Come early for best selection. You'll definitely get your steps in here!

Vendors are usually very friendly and will give you a good deal on items, I also like that there are food trucks just in case you get hungry or thirsty. Parking is free in the student parking garage and everything is easy to find. I love the range of items being sold from vintage to modern, even antiques are being sold from vendors as well. Very family friendly and the staff who run this event are very helpful.

Individuals kept wondering if the flea market will ever be back... And it did come back! EVERY 2nd/SECOND SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH, March to November, 9am to 2pm And now FREE PARKING! It used to be $2 to park! I gave it the rating I did because/ 1. Since the re-opening, I never purchased a single thing 2. Vendors are all pretty much the same (and it's hilarious some of the faces are familiar and seen at estate sale hunts) 3. Love how they attempt a theme and have added old school cars to the mix! 4. The vendors are not the nicest... they don't budge and are not willing to negotiate (I mean that's the fun of flea markets!) 5. Kind of pricey. Pretty much all antique and used items. A couple of vendors sell new but very "made in China" items 6. Products are often repeated aka the same 7. It's not huge... you could probably walk the entire thing in less than 30 minutes Would I come back? I just love estate sales, rummage sales, flea markets, etc. It's great to walk around especially when you don't have the mindset of "must have to buy"

For summer break we decided to start the day here and find lunch close by. It was much larger and busier than it was in Winter. The great thing is free parking and free admission, the walk from parking to the fleamarket is very close. If you want to sell here the pricing per spot is low and you can pull in easily with your car. I believe each spot is $20 and this fleamarket happens the 2nd Saturday of every month. They do a good job of attracting vendors with that sell newer items in bulk, more classic garage style bring your old junk, plants, antiques, and some food trucks. The coolest thing we did was probably the train ride that goes through the fleamarket and car show. The car show area did smell like something peope like to smoke though :) It does get hot later in the day in Summer so best to come early. We ended up leaving with some nice snacks and old books for the kids.
