IMHO This is a great monthly swap meet held on the parking lot grounds of De Anza College in Cupertino, on the first Saturday of each month, from 8-2. I attend maybe two or three times a year, whenever I'm looking for special, vintage treasures, or the occasional seasonal plants or succulents for my garden. You really can't beat the variety and prices here. This visit I found two gallon-sized plants for $5 each, a purple kale plant for $3, and 11 mini succulents for $1-2 each, plus a pretty glass bowl to hold an orchid plant. I spent nearly 2 hours here and only managed to walk through half of the flea market! It's fun to see people walking through the parking aisles sometimes pulling wagons or carts to hold their many purchases or cradling their new orchid plants. If you're hungry, there are food trucks near De Anza's Euphrat Museum. Come early for best selection. You'll definitely get your steps in here! read more

One of the things I always look forward to every month lately is the De Anza Flea. I just love digging through all the different things and finding so much cool vintage stuff. Vendors are usually very friendly and will give you a good deal on items, I also like that there are food trucks just in case you get hungry or thirsty. Parking is free in the student parking garage and everything is easy to find. I love the range of items being sold from vintage to modern, even antiques are being sold from vendors as well. Very family friendly and the staff who run this event are very helpful. read more

This happens first Saturday of every month from 8am - 2pm. Free admission and free parking. I haven't been to a flea market in forever. This one was pretty ok in terms of vendors and offerings. We arrived on the dot and there was a decent amount of people there. By the time it got closer to 10am-11am it was jam packed and the parking lot was a mess. The selection of wares was diverse, but I also didn't really have anything in mind to purchase when visiting. There was also just a lot of vendors who, in other words, sold junk/crap that even the person who invented the phrase, "someone's junk is someone else's treasure" would've gone to say "ok you know what, nevermind the phrase I came up with -- this is absolute junk". Any vendor who was selling plants were basically bum rushed. I guess this is one of the places to get decent selections on curated plants. I have a love/hate relationship with people who are into plants (love plants, hate people who get into it purely for vain purposes). We ended up buying croc charms which were $1 each which seems like a total rip off considering you can buy 100-200 pack for $8-$10 on places like Amazon or perhaps cheaper, but we were able to select the specific ones we liked such as certain pokemon from the pokemon series and what not. There were also vendors who were straight up selling medicine, makeup, soaps, bleach, things you would find at CVS/Walmart/Target. It made me wonder if they acquired them legitimately or is this another case of the recent open air fencing thefts going on around the Bay Area. There were also food trucks nearby and smelled so good. Didn't eat of them because lunch plans were already in place which I'll leave a Yelp review for that restaurant in the next few days :) read more

Haven't been here for many years. If you want some plants for inside or outside your garden there are many sellers there, some plants very fresh, some not so much, but pretty good prices. Some variety, but not like Home Depot, etc. Many small succulent plant sellers including one that had some really freshly planted succulents in small dishes, a terrarium type etc. There was one outstanding costume jewelry seller who wasn't sure if she'll sell at this market again, even selling some Hobe sterling with rhinestone brooches ( pins) .Other costume jewelry not particularly memorable, very common, not really vintage from other vendors. A few vendors selling older style 1960s and up real gold and silver jewelry, many rings, fairly common styles. Having said that I did notice a few young "pickers" moving quickly to jewelry vendors to buy and probably flip to sell at higher prices. Did not see any real good buys if you wanted good quality costume jewelry for below online prices. Other items sold were a few vendors with some tools, tshirts, hand knitted/crochet animals, misc, some at very good price points. There are very few true collectibles here in my opinion. Or they'd already been picked and bought before I got there at 9:30am. If you want to spend a few hours just browsing, good to know it's free parking and free entry. I'd say it was an average experience for us, thus 3 stars. read more

Yes, at the De Anza Flea Market finding some good bargains. Weather was perfect for a day of shopping at the flea. Cloudy but no sweaters needed. Lots of vintage items to choose from at reasonable prices. Saw plenty of cute vintage bucket bags and beaded clutch purses. Found a silver Sack crossover bag in a good size and in very good condition for $5.00, a bargain. Also purchase a cute gold jacket for only $5.00, yes, another bargain. Im ready for the holidays with a touch of gold. Cant wait for next months bargains. I have my $20.00 ready to be spent on more bargains. Yes, I give myself a budget of $20.00. read more

I Just here to mention watch out for the drink prices at the Mexican food truck. I went there and they asked for $7 for a horchata. Then 10 minutes later she raised the price to $8.50 on my son. Once my son cane back and got another dollar she raised the price again to 8.96 for some odd reason and did the same price to the woman behind my son. Be careful of unmarked prices at these food stalls and rip off artists like this taco truck. read more

I had a blast at the flea market yesterday! And it was a perfect day.. the weather was gorgeous. This flea market occurs the first Saturday of every month in the parking lot of De Anza college off of Stevens Creek Boulevard. Parking is available on site for $5, although free if parking off site in the area. I saw people walking from across the street, not sure where they all parked lol I like how this flea market is not huge and overwhelming. There's an area designated for food - vendors and food trucks dominate. The rest of the parking lot holds the vendors selling everything from plants, antiques, clothing, and jewelry to household supplies. I found some great finds! -Fun costume jewelry rings for $2 each -An awesome succulent hanging plant for $5. The seller also gave me a free blessed rosary and necklace. Love, love! - Met Ron, the sock man, who's been selling socks for over 30 years! He's got some good quality socks for a great deal. Sadly, he told us that this year will be his last year selling.. he is going to retire. Check him out! Overall, organized and fun. You can find some interesting treasures and great deals! read more

PARKING you can park inside the college, but there are people who park in the surrounding area and walk onto campus. You can enter from all directions... meaning there is not just one entrance into the fleamarket. FOOD I came on the first November, there were food trucks lined up with quite a few different cuisine choices. TABLES I ended up buying some knock off Ray ban sunglasses for $12 or two for $20. There is some shade from the covered parking roof structures, otherwise you will want to wear sunglasses and a hat to protect yourself from the sun. There are a variety of things being sold here such as you're in more traditional garage sale type items for the most part. If you are interested in plants then there are very economical succulents and orchid plants being sold that look high-quality. GENERAL I gave three stars for a OK. Not the most fun fleamarket that I have been to, but I would say it's decent, and I can at least say I have checked it out once. I will say a plus side is that dogs are allowed. The website says service dogs only, but clearly pet dogs were there including mine! read more

After many many years of hearing about the De Anza flea market, I finally went today! I like to browse markets, see what kind of things people are selling and buying. This market was pretty nice, not super junky like some other flea markets in the Bay Area. The De Anza flea had a nice blend of almost junk, cooler junk, new items and crafty or artsy items.... Nice plants, new very cool socks, new jewelry vendors.... One booth had really nice repurposed wine boxes (with original wine logos) turned into cutting boards.... Food; Vegetarian options; I saw garlic fries and fried artichoke hearts which had me drooling..... Shave ice too. Parking is $5.00 or you can park just off-site. I'd say you could easily spend 1-2 hours here. read more

De Anza Flea Market - Flea Markets Near Me - Cupertino, California

The market is held the first Saturday of every month, rain or shine. Hours are 8am-4pm. Parking on campus isn't free ($5 for the day last I checked). Crowds: It's important to get here early if you're a real hunter since it can get busy quickly and you might miss out on some cool items. How busy it is depends largely on the weather. Rainy days and during the winter months, there might only by about 50 stalls. In the summer and generally nicer days, you can see 100-150+ stalls easily. Technically dogs aren't allowed, but no one seems to be enforcing that rule. Goods Sold: Varies. You'll see stalls with foreign knock-offs, yard-sale/thrift shop type items to pick through, Amazon returns, Costco returns, plants (succulents, orchids, outdoor, indoor), handmade crafts (jewelry, bags, candles, etc), cosmetics (from brand name to indie), hardware supplies (tools, nuts, bolts, etc), and electronics. There's definitely something for everyone. Most sellers only accept cash and are willing to haggle, though there are exceptions to both of those statements. Food trucks are also open in one corner with a variety of snack foods. This is definitely one of the larger, regular markets in the area (perhaps second only to the Alameda county fair's market). read more

My foray in to the De Anza Flea Market was primarily as a vendor. It was a great experience from start to finish and I'd highly recommend considering this market as an option if you're a casual seller looking to set up a booth of second hand goods (think garage sale without the garage.) This flea market is held the first Saturday of every month. I had done some research on various markets where the average Joe can be a one time vendor. By far, De Anza seemed like the best place we could offload our gently used goods to buyers who appreciated what we had and were looking for a bargain. Applying is easy-there is a form you can download online, fill out and mail in. Applications open at the beginning of the month for the next month's Saturday market. You can send a check for the application fee ($30 when we registered but it has since gone up to $35) for a spot that measures about 2 parking spots wide. You also send a self addressed stamped envelope. We had applied to be a vendor in mid-May to sell at the June 3rd market and were worried we wouldn't get in. Within a week of mailing our application we got a call saying we made it in and they would mail us the 1 day seller's permit. That arrived quickly along with instructions on setting up the morning of the event. Be sure to hold on to that paperwork-you will need it to enter the market. Entry and set up was a breeze, as we arrived around 6:15 a.m. That gave us plenty of time to arrange things nicely before the market officially opened at 8. Overall, we were pleased with the amount of items we got rid of. Mind you we were pricing things to go and everyone was looking for a bargain. Attendees were overall friendly and our selling neighbors were also very nice and gave us some tips on making the most of our day as well as their experiences at other markets. The quality of second hand items available from various vendors was pretty good. There was also a decent variety of vendors that ranged from hand crafted to shabby chic refurbished to garden items. In fact I saw a few vendors that regularly make appearances at Treasure Island Flea. I took a break from my booth to walk around a bit and if I weren't there to get rid of stuff, I am sure I could have found a few treasures. Nice crowd, clean venue, well laid out and a lot to see. It may depend on the time of year you go but on a sunny and not too warm spring day it was definitely worth a visit, as a buyer or seller. read more

This flea market is amazing, I've been going the first Saturday of the month for 20 years, I've even been a seller 2 x. I went today and got a lot of amazing things for Christmas and just for everyday use. My daughter found gifts for a friend for her birthday party tonight, that's convenient to be sure. I just love the bargaining with the sellers, it's a lot of fun and you can really get some great deals. I have purchased killer art pieces, clothing, home goods, shoes, designer clothing and much much more here. Usually in the summer months it's packed! Today it's was about 1/2 of the usual sellers because the weather is so unpredictable at this time of year. They have the same merchants month after month, so you know they are going to be there with some new stuff or a lot of the same good stuff they usually have. It's a must go flea market and I'm pretty big on them in general. read more

We used to look forward to this flea market each first Saturday of the month.... Pre-Pandemic. Something happened unfortunately. Many of the good vendors, selling antiques especially, disappeared. Now what we have found are spaces that resemble garage sale after garage sale of mostly junk. This is really sad that this venue has gone downhill this much. A flea market that targets electronic hobbyists and ham radio operators. It runs from March through September on the second Saturday morning of the month. Parking is three dollars, and takes place in lot B at De Anza College. Food and drinks are available from the hosting amature radio club. It's best to get here early, before dawn, if you want something in particular. Otherwise just casually cruise the seller's spaces, admiring the technology of yesteryear. Lots of old radios, test equipment, computers and related components you can only find here. There are also some interesting non electronic vendors, such as an engraver, a guy who sells homemade honey, and various tool dealers. Also, more and more run of the mill hawkers dealing in such things as clothing, jewelry and sundries are showing up. This is a fun way to spend a Saturday morning, and it benefits many non-profit amateur radio organizations. read more

I ended up leaving the flea market with everything but a round laundry basket!! :P The yummy worms I caught... + Ice Cream Maker $3 + Small cast iron pot $3 + Italian conversation cassette $.25 + Metal Whisk $.50 If I had a granny cart, I would've probably bought even MORE junk! ahaha I recommend... - coming early in the morning - bringing reusable bags to stuff the goodies - hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, water bottle, snacks - CA$H!! - taking public transportation because parking is $5 It was quite crowded here this weekend!! Its been several years since I visited the De Anza Flea Market. I'm still very much happy with the venue. No bad reviews after years of missing out the first Saturday of the month. I finally made time last Saturday (06/02/2007) to take visit and do some alone time shopping (no rush, took my time, browsed freely). Highlights: - $5.00 parking at the De Anza parking garage. Very spacious. No full lots. - Vintage and used stuff everywhere! This is the way I like it. One man's junk is one man's treasure! The show promoter is difficult to deal with. She wants payment mailed in, without telling the vender the booth location. I lived out of state for about 10 years. Evertime I came to visit my family in San Jose, I would schedule my visit to include De Anza weekend. It would be the highlight of my trip. I told my dad that if I lived in California, I could furnish my whole house from De Anza. Well, I moved back to California five years ago and go to De Anza every chance I get. It is wonderful to shop there, but I am running out of room at my house. There is a wide variety of used and vintage, new and handmade items. You can find anything from handmade soaps and jewelry, to handmade clothing. You can also find used Legos, awesome discounted vacuum cleaner bags and both new and used comic books. I am glad this flea market is only held once a month, otherwise I would be broke! Oh yeah, parking is $5 at the school lot, but free on the street if you can find it. read more

This was my second visit to the flea market in several years. I checked the website for hours, directions, and parking info. Hours said 8a-4p so we arrived at 1:45p. Don't do that!! Some stalls were already packed up and gone, and others were in the process. We scurried through like we were an hour glass. Only so much time to scan and buy. This is a pretty fun trip for a family outing on a Saturday morning. I heard it gets much busier in the spring but they still had decent amount of vendors here. It is dominated by Walmart quality stuff but at a dollar. There are a number of vintage vendors but they did not have much quality stuff to offer. It was even worse for artwork. I do wish it was organized in a way where it could be separated to clothing section, antiques, art, home goods etc. I will be back in the spring to check it out read more

BEST FLEA MARKET I'VE BEEN TO! There are A LOT of booths and a lot of different items the choose from. There is a guy who always sells baseball stuff who I always go to. Hes awesome. Everyone here is extremely friendly. No one is trying to pull one on you by charging you more than the item is worth. I come here even if I'm not looking to buy just because everyone is so nice. The food is also pretty good. Parking is 5 dollars which kind of sucks and even after you pay parking is still hard to find. Overall, great place and I highly recommend coming here! read more

Normally I have good things to say about this nifty little flea market but my family couldn't even shop here yesterday cos we were rained out. When we got here we told they were closing so we were here just to get in and we were gone in 5 minutes. Maybe next month it won't rain so we'll be able to get some shopping done. The vendors here have a vast array of different things and I like the quality here more than other flea markets. It's DEFINITELY better than the Berryessa or Capitol flea markets. It's low-key and the offerings are of superior quality and there's usually ample parking to be had, and food as well! I like it here. Always the same, very consistent. I go probably 1-2 times a year when I need something. This time, I needed books to read that I didn't want to pay full price for at the bookstore or expensive media mail shipping on Amazon or what not. Last year, I bought the following for $5 and under for each book (all softcover): 1) The Memory Keeper's Daughter (bo-ring) 2) The Other Boleyn Girl (ok) 3) Eat, Pray, Love (good) 4) The Namesake (EXCELLENT) 5) Interpreter of Maladies (EXCELLENT + 1) This year, I bought: 1) The Appeal by John Grisham ($5 for hardcover, $4 soft) 2) Twilight ($5 soft cover - I want to know what the big deal is about this book) 3) Blink by Malcolm Gladwell ($5, soft) 4) The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell ($5, soft) 5) The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down by Anne Fadiman ($4, soft) They have a lot of book vendors but only one sells the good books. They also had the girly books by Emily Giffin (that I bought full price when they came out) and some Sophia Kinsella books (author of the shopaholic series). They had Mitch Albom (those small hardcovers) for only $5. Also, we ate Chicken Kabob ($6), veggie stir fry ($7) and Hawaiian shave ice ($3). They have garlic fries, hot dogs, etc. too. Parking is $5 but you can walk from Target. Oh! They also have Bluray DVDs - 2 for $25. DVDs for $1-$3. read more

It seemed like an interesting way to spend a saturday. kind of fun checking out all the stuff. lots of junk, but some cool stuff along the way. prices didn't seem as good as i thought they would be, but there were some deals. and shaved ice... which we go a little nuts for! all in all, a good time. oh, and skip their parking if you can. $5?? bleh. what will you find? more like what won't you find?!?! a few of my favorites: sunglasses, furry bones, hats, purses. oh, and we found this guy who makes the coolest wall signs with letters. hard to describe, but you'll know it when you see it. bright and colorful. read more

I went to the De Anza Flea market for the first time in two years. I promised a friend, who had never attended this flea market, that we would go. This flea market seems to get bigger and bigger. The quality of the goods? Alright, you can find better stuff here than Berryessa, unless you were thinking about buying produce. That option is not here. My complaint with Berryessa is that there's many vendors selling the same cheap trash at several permanent stands. This one has some of that, BUT you will also find people selling handmade crafts like at an Art and Wine Festival. For jewelry, it runs from vendors selling better quality goods to vendors selling things that look like they rescued them from the garbage bin at Dollar Tree, too. You can also find sellers with antiques- ok, some items I wouldn't qualify as a valuable antique, like a Burger King glass, but you make the call. Food options- there are a lot to choose from. Expect to pay at least 7.00 for this cuisine experience. I purchased Thai veggie noodles that were ok, but were long on noodles and short on veggies-chinese lettuce, that's it. The lemonade was great, on the other hand. Parking is 5.00 in the garage. You don't have to park there. If you don't mind walking across campus, park in the other lots, such as the G buildings and save 3 bucks. Do not park across the street at the Oaks - the shopping center owners have gotten wise to people trying to avoid paying for parking during this event. All and all, I'll go again. It would be better to get there early because there's a lot to see. Sellers start to pack around 1:30, be advised. read more

Wow- Just got back from the DeAnza Flea market with a big fat $45 ticket- I've been coming here every month for the last two years, parking in the adjacent lot, and spending upwards of $200 each visit. This is the first time I have ever seen anyone get a ticket, let alone any parking control officers around. This parking area was full, and nearly every car had a ticket on the window. I guess I wrongly assumed (as did everyone else) for the two years I have been coming here that DeAnza is now authorizing tickets on a non-school day? After this shock, I felt it was my duty to warn people as they were entering the area that they would surely get a ticket, and they were just as shocked and disgusted as I was. I understand that the DeAnza Flea Market idea is a "fund-raiser" but surely there are better ways to raise funds than pulling this shocker on unsuspecting guests. At least put up a note saying "no parking on event day" or something-This just isn't right.... read more

This flea market surprised me with its large size and the variety of products selling! It gives a better local feeling than the San Jose Flea Market which seemed to be dominated by Mexican culture. You can find seasonal goods (Christmas decors for now) and everyday domestic items such as kitchenwares, clothes, shoes, children's toys and outfits. We did not try the food but it looked like they have a good variety as well with Asian (Vietnamese and Thai food), American and South American cuisines. Every market-goers are very friendly and courteous to each other. Prices are descent, there are lots of $1 items. Parking is $5 and even with that, we have to park in a garage and then walk across campus to the market. read more

There is something so exciting about a flea market. The hunt of that mysterious treasure you don't know is out there. Parking is $5, but it sounds like if you have walking feet, it is better to park across the street or residential if you want to save some money for shopping. Nice aspect about this market is it is 75% covered by shade. How many flea markets can you say that about? None that I know of in the Bay Area. I really need to come back here and walk around more. But I came for one of the shirt booths I saw at a festival in San Francisco and the guy was happening to be selling it here. I didn't have enough money at the festival, well it saved me, because his shirt was $5 cheaper at the flea market. Yay! Noticed there were some food stands, I didn't get a chance to look at them.
