I adopted my precious fur puppy here! This was my first time adopting after decades of purchasing…read moredogs from breeders (yes, I know, adopt, don't shop). In my particular case, I was looking for a small, hypoallergenic dog, which was difficult to find. After months of checking their adoption page, I finally found the perfect puppy who fits so seamlessly into our family. She is incredibly sweet and transformed almost instantly after coming home with us, from a shy, shivering little pup to an absolute terror in the best way possible! The staff was wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable, and very informative throughout the entire process. I also appreciated how thorough they were, providing all the supplies we needed for the first few days and taking every precaution to ensure a smooth transition. On top of that, the facility was clean, organized, and clearly well cared for. We're so grateful to have found our newest family member here!

SPCA is the best adoption facility in the area. I adopted my sweetest best friend of almost 9 years…read more(adopted her when she was age 19, be in my early/mid 30s. First cat on my life. Always more of a dog person. But I was worried because of her age she might be on a shortlist for something trickier - especially after first coming to animal control and gaining 4 pounds. But we took to each other immediately. And she seemed to be one sweet healthy cat attached at the hip to me, attached to my people, and patient with dogs and cats in the house for sitting. Have been crushed since but thank you ASPCA tor everything. Even after years I together and tons of water bowlers, routine, cuddles, play time, and a two bedroom with a full kitchen, bathroom, and living room, a litter robot, cat trees and plenty's of scratchers, I discovered she had kidney disease (CkD) at age 18, she lasted another year.

JOYBOUND'S DENTAL SERVICES I have nothing but praise for…read moreJoybound's new dental services.  The application process was easy and done entirely online.  My feline Buddy had one pre-surgery appointment for a checkup and blood work.  Surgery day (including extractions) went smoothly.  We were sent home with good instructions and pain medication; Dr. Bellmund checked in with me a few days later. Besides their expertise and efficiency, Dr. Bellmund and her team were kind and compassionate--just what I needed at a time when I was worried and concerned. All that and--the pricing is significantly lower than a recent estimate I received from a local private-practice veterinarian clinic. Buddy is now a happier cat.  I'm seeing a positive change in his personality.  Thank you, Joybound, for all you do for pets and pet parents.  I am grateful.

It's a cat cafe!! I didn't think we had any in the US but this one exceeded my expectations. John…read morethe owner obviously cares deeply for cats and has created a wonderful space where cats living hard lives can relax and be adopted so much faster than at a shelter. I loved all the procedures to protect the cats (wearing booties on shoes, not picking up the cats, etc.), and the cats are adorable. The pricing is great and such a good treat on a day where you need to destress. I will say that the place smells very strongly of cat urine, which makes sense when you have 6 litter boxes and stray males marking up the space, but investing in a litter robot, more air purifiers, or room spray would be nice as it can cause a headache after a bit. Other than that, can't wait to go back!

I would never recommend this animal care shelter to anyone with a sick dog. My dog was suffering…read morefrom parvo and was dying. When they came to pick him up, the way they handled and treated him was cold, careless, and completely lacking compassion. He was treated like he was nothing, not like a living animal that was loved and suffering. After I left my review, the owner replied trying to justify their actions. That response felt more like an attempt to protect their reputation than to take responsibility or show genuine concern. Please don't be fooled by businesses replying to negative reviews -- that is part of their job. Based on my experience, do not call these people if your dog is sick. You will be deeply disappointed. I want nothing to do with this company, and I strongly suggest others look elsewhere for help. God bless.

I came here to pick up two foster dogs through Grateful Dog Rescue…read more I admit I was worried.. Large animal shelter in a large city, not in the best neighborhood.. I was worried it would be one of those sad run down shelters where you feel devastated to have to leave any animals behind but this shelter was anything but that. This animal shelter was very nice and updated. Nice little on sight parking lot. The kennels were on the bigger side and all clean. They had one nice dog park/ play area that I saw, I heard there were two total. The worker that helped me I forget their name, was very nice and professional and most importantly you could tell they really cared for the animals. There was one brindle pittie that stared into our souls the whole time we were there. I can't stop thinking of them I think it was a girl, Imma about to ask for an update on her but I'm sure she knows what she was doing and got adopted quick. I would definitely recommend coming here the next time you are looking for a new pet. I assume it would be a nice place to volunteer too and I'm sure they can always use volunteers and foster homes! Just saying
