Unfortunately, the amount of documentation needed for new residents to establish a new mobile service is lengthy, but the staff were helpful and patient. It took us a few visits and running around at no fault of the staff, but service was established. This was a good experience, but I only give it 4 stars as we quickly learned not all Optus employees and locations are equal and we were astonished at the rates charged in Australia for such outdated technology and poor mobile/internet coverage.

There is often a queue, but they offer call back service which is very convenient if you stop by without an appointment. You leave your number and they call you back when your next in queue. The only reason I am not giving this location a 5 star rating is the pricing. Although, they are competitive with other big names locally, we are astonished at how expensive rates are for the archaic technology and disturbingly slow speeds available in Australia. The prices and speeds really are far from comparable with the rest of the developed world.

Even more stark for me was the difference between leaving my stereo equipment for servicing and repair and then collecting it once the work had been completed. Unexplained charges. "Oh, it was worn out." (I hadn't even used the equipment since I had replaced that part, so I don't know how it could have been worn out.) Thankfully, they did delete that charge! Will I go back? For anything? I don't think so. In fact, I'm sure that I won't.
