I purchased a VERY expensive Black Stainless LG slide-in range from the Dearborn location after finding their company website and reading more about them. I spoke with the saleswoman on the phone and asked about the model and if it was a "smart stove" where we could connect it to an app on our phone. The main reason I wanted this feature is I have two children under two and sometimes it's hard to break away to go preheat the oven for dinner. I have all smart LG appliances now that work with the app so the stove was our last needed purchase. We got the stove delivered and it sat for a week since we are remodeling and needed to finish the gas hookup. Once we hooked up the stove, we determined that this stove ONLY works with an Android phone and will not do what we need and therefore is rendered useless as far as smart features go. I contacted the store and told them we wanted to return the stove. We were told by the woman on the phone that all sales were final DESPITE their website saying there is a 14 day return policy. She argued with me and told me that the website must be old. It said 2021 at the bottom. Then she told me it was MY due diligence as the customer to read up on the stove SHE sold me to make sure it would work. This conversation went back and forth until I told her I hadn't used the stove. Then she said she would call corporate and see what she could do. She called me the next afternoon and told me corporate advised her to call LG and troubleshoot the issue. I had already done that I sent her all the screenshots of my conversation with LG and also the stove manual. She agreed that it was ridiculous that the stove didn't work with my iPhone and said when she looked at the price tag she thought it was a super expensive stove and someone would be crazy to have purchased it at that price, then realizing what she said, she said "not that you're crazy". Um ok. She called me later on that day or the next and said corporate won't discount the stove for me to want to keep it, and IF I want to return it, they won't only charge me the restocking fee of 20% but also the first delivery fee of $79 (since it was financed) AND I can't deliver it back to the stove myself since we have a truck, but I'd have to have them pick it up and charge me ANOTHER $79 for them to do so. Oh AND I'd have to drive the 45-60min to Dearborn to pay in CASH to return it! I've worked in retail, sales and customer service for years and I know how NOT to treat your customers and Happy's Appliances in Dearborn is a perfect example. 2/27/21: UPDATE PENDING....... *******BUYERS BEWARE ********I if I could give this store ZERO stars, I would. After spending days researching prices from other major appliance stores and reading reviews, I decided to go to Happy's Appliance in Dearborn, Michigan. I purchased a refrigerator in December 2020, they told me their appliances are new, still under manufacturers warranty however they are deeply discounted in price because their appliances have scratches and dents (all superficial stuff). AS SOON AS the unit was delivered in my home, I noticed that they had previously done repair work on it. I IMMEDIATELY called the store to logged a complaint and to see if they would be willing to work out something because I paid a price for a fridge that I expected to be new with a few scratches and dents, not a fridge that has already been worked on. After several days of talking to Jennifer and their corporate office, I was advised that once the unit is out of their store, they no longer cover it and if anything goes wrong with the fridge I am to contact the manufacturer because it's still under warranty. Well here we are in February and the refrigerator in not cooling. I have adjusted the temperature to see if that would make a difference, unfortunately it did not. My fridge/freezer is blowing hot air. Today a GE tech came out to my home, AS SOON AS he looked at the back of the fridge and looking into his computer, he advised me that because the fridge had work done by Happy's tech (whom is not an authorized tech through GE), it not only voids out the manufacturer's warranty but the work Happy's tech done was not done properly, it damaged the fridge even more and it is NOT REPAIRABLE. Unfortunately, as others have stated the customer service from management is terrible. I bought several appliances and mattresses from back in May, Sammy was the sales rep that helped us. He was very nice but he had promised the LG fridge we were getting was brand new in box with zero damage/scratches etc. We also got a second fridge that we were told had some cosmetic wear. When the LG fridge was delivered and the box was opened, the back panel had a massive dent in it, the inside door of the fridge had several cracks and the Icemaker was not working. The second fridge that we were told had only cosmetic damage would not even turn on, the circuit would blow everytime we plugged it in. When we called Happy's they sent out an LG tech. The tech said the repair was complete but 2 days later the fridge began overheating and we had to remove all our food until the tech could come out again to fix it. Obviously this was not a brand new unopened fridge. Whether it was LG at fault or Happy's, the fridge was not what we were told it would be and created weeks of trouble for us all while moving to a new state. When I asked for some monetary compensation for the fiasco, I instead was met with months of stalling. A customer service rep Jennifer finally called me, very rudely stating there was nothing they could do. Sleazy business with no principals or care for the customer, I was not even asking for a full refund which any other store would have been happy to do. This company is a joke. I bought a $600 dryer, when they came to deliver it they didn't hook up the new gas line I paid $20 for and took my other dryer that still had my clothes in it and scrapped my old dryer that I never gave them permission to take! With all of my clothes in it. I've been trying to contact them for 3 days. They tell me they will call me back and never do. I'm out of $700 worth of clothes that were in my dryer and they are not doing anything to try and make it better! I bought a dryer for them to get my dryer for free? I purchased a new refrigerator today online as I prefer to not go out due to the COVID-19 outbreak and being immune suppressed. Sammy could not have been more helpful, he took care of everything from getting a great price and arranging delivery and removal of my old fridge. I'm very happy and when I replace my range, dishwasher and smaller fridge I will go to them again. Thank you for taking all of the BS out of appliance shopping. I usually hate it. When tried to go get my money back they wanted to charge me a 20% restocking fee which was not my fault. Then didnt want to refund me without a approval from owners. The worst customer service, they claim items are new and when they arrive they don't work, I was promised a discount on a better refrigerator and then when I came to get it the manager said we never discussEd any replacement fridge. I lost all m groceries from receiving a fridge that never worked from the start then was forced to downgrade because they wouldn't refund the loan and then I had a balance left so I got a washer and cashed out on a dryer and the dryer was dented so badly the drum made a loud noise they show nice products on the floor but give you even more damaged appliances then what you see in person I would never recommend them to my worse enemy read more

This store has terrible customer service. We purchased a fridge and paid for it to be delivered. They first time they tried to deliver it, they somehow forgot to put it on the truck. They said they said they would get in to us that evening and failed to do so. We rescheduled the delivery for two days later and when the delivery window had passed we discovered that they hadn't loaded the fridge in the truck again! Later that evening they finally brought it. Twice we had to rearrange our schedules to be at home during the delivery window and twice they failed to show! I spoke with Jason at the store several times over the phone. He was very argumentative. I asked that the $79 delivery fee be refunded because they hadn't delivered the fridge to us twice and he gave me the run around, said he'd have to talk to his boss and call me back. He never called me back when he said he would. He agreed to have his boss call me and that never happened. In the end he refused to refund the delivery fee and didn't acknowledge our wasted time waiting in deliveries that never came. read more

This is by far the worst place I have ever done business with. They make deliveries at 11pm at night and also not a guarantee the appliances will work. Was without a refrigerator for 48 hours because the fridge they sent out didn't work at all when plugged in and this was the 2nd fridge they delivered to me! Then the OWNER has the audacity to tell me she has bent over backwards for me and I need to be more understanding. It was human error. Does human error replace the groceries I had to pitch? This company is terrible. They will lie to customers like me just to gain sales for USED appliances. How do I know? A relative of mine bought an appliance from them, and after it stopped working after just 1 week, they had it inspected by a professional appliance repair company who was able to determine it was previously registered to someone else, who bought it originally from Lowe's. It also had evidence of being used before they used it after the first time they tried it. They also determined upon inspection of the appliance that it was no longer under warrant, so they tried to charge our friend over $400 for the repairs necessary to make it work. Do NOT shop at this store unless you can afford to pay for the appliance to work once you buy it. NEW appliances that their staff CLAIM are new are actually USED, and probabply made to look brand new before they get sold to unsuspecting consumers like my friends. read more

DO NOT BUY HERE! The sales person Jason lied to me about the electric dryer being able to be hooked up to a 110V outlet. He said " I have personally done this several times myself". After verifying with GE that you could not do that and that it was a 240V dryer they still argued with me that it was a 110V dryer. I had to drive to the store 3 times because they would not return my calls. Finally one of the guys who works in the back and who works on their appliances told the sale person " I told you Jason you can not do that". Then when they finally admitted they were wrong they said they would take it back. Several times they said they would " call me tonight to have it scheduled to be picked up" and they never did. Finally after 3 weeks of asking them to take care of this misrepresentation they finally took it back.Then I found out the new washer they sold me was used and did not work properly! Then they tried to deny it when I had GE on the phone line with a supervisor and told me "all sales are final". Now you you know why! This place is not worth the discount you think you are getting.
