Fraudulent business. They take advantage of individuals that are old n uneducated. They precharged me for service not complete. Was precharged without authorization not notice. I receive an text from my cc stating I was charged $98. I called They client and was told my service is not complete. And won't be delivered until tomorrow my invoice has not been generated yet I've been charged an estimate of 98. With out first sending me a request as it was done the fist time I used the service I have no doubt they are over weighing the close to charge more 36 pounds was 73 dollars. How is 20 pounds 98 dollars I purposely sent less Clothes and weight it myself to test their honesty. This is a fraudulent business in the area. Had the service for 91 year old mother. Okay for a while then they started dropping the clean laundry in the lobby of the complex with her having no way of getting to it and management not happy. Happened twice, had LENGTHY conversation with them and was assured wouldn't happen again. Scheduled a pick up for Monday....no body ever showed up. Three strikes...you are OUT! Terrible, horrible, no-good. I really gave My Laundry Hamper multiple opportunities to turn it around and make me a believer, but they continue to disappoint. Reasons why My Laundry Hamper gets one star: 1) Communication is terrible! I have made multiple attempts to call and e-mail this establishment and have yet to talk to anyone, despite leaving multiple phone messages and e-mailing. 2) Shirts are often returned with some wrinkles. 3) I was supposed to receive a green bag to put my clothes in, but did not prior to having my first pick up. I put the laundry in a large Victorias Secret canvas tote, but never had the bag returned to me. 4) I attempted to cancel service over a week ago but my online account is still active. I keep getting reminders about pickups, even though I no longer wish to use their services and voiced that pretty clearly. 5) I paid a $20 deposit for a green laundry bag and have since returned it because I am no longer using their service. However, that deposit has not been returned to us over a week later. 6) My Laundry Hamper LOST my favorite sweater dress and, even though I have tried multiple times to get in touch with them. It took 3 months to get in touch with them. Finally, a few weeks ago, John from My Laundry Hamper called, looked to see if the dress was still there and, when it was not, reimbursed me for the dress. He apologized and stated that the company grew too quickly and customer service fell by the wayside. Please save yourself the hassle, people, and steer clear of My Laundry Hamper! read more

There are those of us who are busy in life and are looking for services to help us in making things easier, I.E. grocery, pharmacy or laundry delivery services. We look for and pay for these types of services to help save some of our time during the day where we can make it matter more elsewhere. With this being said, I would like to put out there a word of caution for current and future clients - BE VERY CAUTIOUS of using their services. After being a client of theirs for almost a year now, there are many issues with this company that need to be brought to light before choosing them. In the past 6 months of using their services, they have lost multiple items of our clothes, decided to change how our clothes are cleaned, increased charges on the bill by 40%, and wasted hours of my time trying to get it all fixed. One of the worst parts about all of this is just trying to get ahold of anybody that works there. When you call the number they have listed, every time you will get a voicemail and someone having to call you back. Sometimes, you have to call for multiple days just to have someone call you back. Then, when the lady from the office does call you back, she normally tells you it's something she can't handle, and you must talk to the owner. The owner, who I've been trying to work with this entire time, is very unresponsive; he doesn't reply to emails and got mad at an employee for providing his number to us so we could call and find out where our missing clothes were. Then you get to hear usual excuses that I just started. This is issue is before me. They have just switched owners recently and the new owner is not making things any better. Same issues are still there - lack of communication, taking forever to get replies. Out of all of this nonsense, headache and stress, all they offered was $20 for 2 missing dress shirts and a pair of dress pants. If new owner wants to hold prior owner then all these are internal to you. Settle it internally. Do notpenalize your customer. Make sure if you decide to use this company that you have a lot of time on your hands. You will need extra time to document and take pictures of ALL the clothes you send to them and then some more time when you get them back to make sure it's all there. They require that if something is missing, that YOU must have a picture of it to prove it. The other piece you need to always look at, is the bill and making sure it's correct. I have only looked at my recent bills to find I'm being billed incorrectly, which took me months to fix. I am not sure how many times in the past I am over billed. For a service that is supposed to be time saving, you do end up having to take more time in auditing your clothing and bill. I am just trying to help you out, so you don't go through the 6-mo headache, stress and battle I have gone through with them. read more

BEWARE of this company, they are completely incompetent and the low prices are not worth the headache and horrible service. I wish I could give them 0 stars. I bought a $10 Living Social coupon for 50$ worth of laundry services. They pick up your laundry at your address and claim to return it the following day. I contacted the company and set a date to have some coats and dresses to be pick up at my address to be dry clean. My clothes came back the following day and one coat was missing and two other coats had been damaged. The main damage was on a purple Soia coat which was very badly damaged and smell very strong to chemical products. I called the company and left a voice message. I explained to the customer representative that they are all expensive coats and I was very attached to them. The following day they call me and they don´t know what happened to my missing coat. She says she is going to find out. I keep on waiting and when she finally calls me back she says that they have it and because it has a fur collar it will take longer to be cleaned. Their website says that it takes only one day, no mention of any other times or any other prices besides what is posted. I then explain about the damage to my other two coats. She says that I need to send them back for them to have a look and that a driver is going to pick them up from my house. Over a week later I get a message on my answer phone saying that the damage to the coats is from storage and not from dry cleaning and they are going to return them. This is impossible because I looked at them before sending them to dry cleaning and there was no damage. I did take some pictures before sending my purple coat back and I still have pictures that prove my coat was totally ruined. Next Monday and Tuesday, they are not returned, I am at home in the evening both days and paying attention and no one rings the bell or drops anything on the back porch, nothing. I call the number, no answer, I leave a message, no reply. I assume the following week they are coming back. Again the same, no coats, no answer. When I manage to talk to the same woman again she is unsure about my coats she says she is going to check and call me back. She never calls me back. I call again and same thing, she thinks they were returned and she says she is going to call me back. Finally on 11/13 I write an email saying that I am feeling very frustrated and upset about their service and that I want my coats back. I love my clothes, I take very good care of them, it has been very upsetting to not know what is happening with them. After many phone calls and messages to get my coats back they tell me that the coats were returned and they are not liable if someone took them from my porch. They damaged my coats and decided to not return them so they won't be liable for the damage. I have filled a consumer complaint already, I wish I had read the bad reviews here before using their services. read more

My Laundry Hamper is a great mobile laundry service company. You leave your dirty clothes in the designated spot in a blue bag and then about 4 days later it comes back all clean and soft. They are always on time and the drivers are super nice. The few times I had a brain freeze and forgot to put my items out they would knock and ask because they know we are regular customers. My clothes always come out great. I keep my preferences updated via their dashboard and my clothes always come back as expected. Once in a great while I get an article that wasn't mine but the are professional about dealing with those very sporadic occurrences. We used My Laundry Hamper for the first time this week and have decided to become weekly customers for the following reasons: 1. We had A LOT of clothes which accumulated for various reasons. I bagged them per their instructions and even though my laundry preferences are in my account, I included a written note since this was our first time using their service. Our instructions were followed PERFECTLY. Everything arrived hung or folded, as requested. The hung items arrived in groups of five with the hangers being connected with a twist-tie, and each group was covered in plastic. The hung items were hung perfectly . . . just the way I hang them . . . and the folded items were folded in such a manner that they looked like I just bought them. Not a wrinkle in sight!!! I can't even fold my own clothes that well!! 2. Their website is fantastic. It's super user-friendly. Everything is explained in detail. You choose your laundry preferences for every type of load that you have, including hand washing, and they also provide hypoallergenic detergent which is very important to me. The Laundry Kit contain color-coded bags (regular laundry, dry cleaning, hand washing, or clothes with stains that you want to point out to them). 3. They could not make the laundering process any easier. They pick up and deliver and they called exactly when they said they would. I cannot comment on the dry cleaning as we didn't use this service yet, but we intend to use it. I am so happy and grateful that we discovered My Laundry Hamper. We've been looking for something just like this for a long time. They are committed to providing high quality service. We have been using MLH since the middle of October and it's totally a necessity for us. We live in the South End and our apartment doesn't have washers and dryers. If we didn't have the service we would be spending our Sundays walking to the closest laundry mat, about three blocks away, and spending about $15 for a load of laundry, folding it all ourselves, then hauling it back up five flights of stairs back to our apartment. We both work full-time and part-time jobs and don't want to spend our Sunday's hauling around laundry. MLH picks up our bag on Wed. nights and drop it off cleaned and folded on Thurs. nights. You set your preferences for how you want your laundry done online. From what type of detergent you want used, to how you want your socks folded. To find out when your laundry will be picked/dropped off they normally text you to give you a 2-3 hr window. Much of the time you won't receive a reminder so if your heading out for the night it's best to leave your bag in the hall. This isn't really an issue for us cause we don't have sketchy neighbors. Since the company is relatively new to the boston area I can understand the lapse in communication. Hopefully as they build their clientele here the communication will become more predictable. read more

I hate laundry! And the idea that someone will come and get it and then return it to me smelling great and totally folded is AMAZING! I had the opportunity to use the service while in Rhode Island. I WISH they were located where I live. Shleping laundry to a wash and fold service is almost as bad as just washing it myself! They delivered on time and it couldn't be more convenient! I actually like doing laundry - when I have time that is. And I am picky, picky, picky about how it's done. SO when I don't have time to be my fastidious self where my laundry is concerned I let "My Laundry Hamper" do it for me. They pick it up when they say they will AND they deliver it back to me when they say they will AND they fold everything the way I like AND hang my husband's shirts the way he likes AND it all smells really fresh and clean with no cloying chemical smell.
