nice laundromat. clean..nice people. been going there since July 2024 with good experiences. raul matta

Wash machines don't work properly. Asked for assistance and all they say is " you made the mistake." Place was once a great spot to wash one's laundry, not anymore. Lastly the price went up and machines don't work now. 10 dollars for almost every wash now. Not worth it! read more

The staff were nice. I used their machines to do our laundry. You have to buy one of their cards for a $1 to use the machines and then preload it to swipe in each machine. If you have cash, you can load the card with the dollar amount you need or close to as one on the washers was $4.80. Credit card transactions are in $5 increments. You only pay for washing - my two loads totaled $10.80. Each machine ran for 30 minutes. Using the dryers is free. You repeatedly insert your card to increase the drying time you need. The laundry mat is big, but was very busy on the Friday I was there. They could use a few more places to sit. They have a vending machine to buy laundry supplies, but I didn't check pricing as I had my own already. read more

Freeway Laundry III - Laundry Services Near Me - Providence, Rhode Island

This is life on the road. Unexpected changes brought me to Providence with limited resources. Located this business that is close to hotels. The comments showed and clean and helpful staff that is all true. The machines are working and clean. The staff were wiping down the entire equipment while I was there to ensure the place is cleaned and welcoming. I am not a fan of the card system but understand the convenience for the owners to maintain a safe environment for all. All electronic devices for the machines. You may use cash to add to your card, but no coins. read more

Depends on who ask; over all the place was clean. Service could be better. They watched me spend my last $2 trying to dry some personal items. I had to ask a white man to help me. read more

I brought my wedding dress there to be cleaned, as I am saving it for my daughter for someday. They did an excellent job.. it looked like the day I walked down the aisle in it 25 years ago!! Candy and Myra are very friendly and helpful. I have also used their washers; there are always plenty available. The place is very clean and the prices are competitive. I will definitely recommend then to friends and family!! read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. This employee was unbelievably rude. When my washing machine broke mid-cycle, I tried to explain the what I observed, but she refused to listen patiently--then had the audacity to accuse me of being impatient. As a weekly customer, I'm furious to receive such disrespect when I needed assistance. Never treating customers like this is basic professionalism. read more

It's a crazy busy place, due to the location. They do commercials laundry as well. But. It clean, efficient and worthy. Happy to support a local business. read more

The lady I think is the one who manages is very rude and bitter, she dares to take off one's clothes and put them anywhere and that's not good, they should put someone who has patience and who serves customers well read more

Parking is kind of limited depending on when you go. Staff is friendly, laundry mat is super clean and they use cards instead of coins . Even their vending machine to get cleaning products, uses a card. It's in a safe area and there are lots of restaurants nearby if you want to grab lunch , while you wait for your underwear to dry! Also when you put 20 dollars on the card you get extra money to use towards your wash. The machines are super clean and work great. read more

I'm a flight attendant, so the reloadable card is annoying, considering I'll only be here once a year or ever. Other than that, the ladies and gents who work here are lovely. It's a bit pricey, but that's what you get for doing laundry at a facility. They have bills to pay too. read more

The "Manager Candy" was very rude to me today, I understand I wasn't supposed to park in Handicap i parked for a few seconds so i can head back and put my clothes to dry . She came at me in a very rude way very unprofessional for someone thats a Manager we got into an argument and she handled it in a very unprofessional way she even called the cops i had moved my car from handicap before the cops got there it didn't need to escalate that far very disgusting behavior from this Manager Candy All the free way laundry employees themselves told me to report her because of her actions with customers and coworkers. read more

Through Yelp's search and reviews, I selected Freeway Laundry's pickup & delivery service. Will from Laundromat was very punctual and arrived at My hotel at 9am. With friendly greetings and short introduction, I was gladly surprised the quality of his pickup service. Now I am waiting for the delivery at 2 pm tomorrow. So far, I highly recommend the pickup & delivery service from Freeway! I received the well packed laundry back from Free Laundry on time today. It's great service and again highly recommended! read more

SUPER friendly staff. Everybody in there, especially Julie, was super patient with me and super willing to help me figure out the machines. They sell all the laundry chemicals which you buy with the same card you use to pay for the washer and turn on the dryer. Drying is free and washing is $3.99 so over all it's a good deal. The card itself costs $1 so you should bring a dollar bill with you (if you use your credit card you'll have to do some acrobatics to pay less than the $10 minimum on top of the card fee). But yeah, I paid $5.99 total for a card + detergent + washing + drying. A+ laundry place. read more

Place is good. But staff isn't very helpful. The 1 thing that really pisses me off about Freeway is that the let anyone park in the two handicap spots...The staff should be asking the customers to go move their cars...pure laziness! read more

All the good things Yelpers say about Freeway Laundry are true: Clean place with new, efficient machines. Very friendly staff. Drop-off service always gets it right with special instructions. They have snack machines and free wifi. Bring cash to load your card at the kiosk and get a $5 bonus. Or check in with Yelp for a free 30 lb washer. Ask at the desk for a loyalty card to earn a free 40 lb wash with their drop-off service. read more

Here's what I like about Freeway: The kind woman who works there on Saturday morning at 7 a.m. She greets you, she's cheerful, she's helpful. The WiFi - it works. The reloadable card. It's convenient, and if you use cash to reload, you get bonus money on your card. The general manager: I'm going to butcher her name, but it's close to Michaela. I started going to this Freeway location in January. I'm a creature of habit, and I would drop off my laundry Friday morning, and pick it up around 6-7 pm. The first couple times my laundry was ready as expected. I did notice their $1.25/lb was a bit more than competitors, but the laundry was neatly folded and fresh. Most importantly, the location is convenient. However, after the first couple weeks of uneventful drop off/pick up, things started to become...eventful. The first time things didn't go well, Michaela immediately got involved, she took care of the problem, righted the wrong, and I felt satisfied. The problem here is with same day drop off / pick up. Honestly it depends on who's working that day. The first problem arose when I came in on a Friday evening to pick up my laundry. I could see my laundry behind the desk, in my laundry basket. Yet the clerk, although I had my receipt I received at drop off, tries to give me someone else's laundry. After assuring her I know my laundry consists of, I was given my laundry. The next week I showed up on Friday night as usual, around 6:30 pm. Although my laundry receipt notes my laundry would be done at 4, my laundry wasnt ready. I had to come back in twenty minutes for it to finish being folded. Ok. Not the biggest deal. The week following that, I again show up at 630, and my laundry is ready, but my $35 laundry bag from Amazon is nowhere in sight. After some searching and confused looks exchanged between the two clerks, I was told to call and speak to 'Michaela'. This is how I met Michaela, who gave me a free drop off and free laundry bag. Not exactly the value of my laundry bag, but I appreciated the customer service and accepted it and an apology. I then decided the unpredictability of when my laundry would or wouldn't be ready wasn't convenient for the price I was paying, and started attending the laundromat on Saturday mornings, which is how I've grown fond of the woman who works there on Saturday mornings (again, she's great!) I came back from vacation this Monday, and being short on clean gym shorts, I decided to drop off. Maybe they cleaned up their act? My receipt stated my laundry would be ready at 4. I showed up last night at 630. Both clerks, idling behind the desk, looking rather bored, exchanged looks when I presented my receipt. Following their glances, I see my laundry still sitting in the dryer. They told me, despite their leisure, that it was busy that day, and asked me and I wait 25 minutes for them to fold it. Ok, you will find that $1.25/lb is a premium based on other laundromats. I don't mind paying this premium for convenience. However if I'm being asked to wait a 1/2 hour for them to finish my laundry, I'll just do my own laundry and save myself some money. TL;DR Great location to do your own laundry. If you're looking for reliable same day drop off service, look elsewhere. read more

I don't know why they say free dryers because they are not free. Check your balance before you put clothes in dryer, you'll see. It takes the money right off your card. It's the little things. There's nothing more satisfying than finding a few dollars in a pair of pants when you go to do laundry. But when you're me, you don't like doing laundry. So that feeling is fleeting. Attendant A. Rodriguez found $15 in my jeans. I didn't know it was there. She could have pocketed it and I would have been none the wiser. But when I picked up my laundry this morning there it was in a small envelope taped to my bags. They've also done a great job with my laundry the half a dozen times I've dropped it off. read more

If you live in the West Side, this is the laundromat to go to. I actually haven't been to any others because this one was recommended to me, and there is no need to find another, here is why: 1) Reasonible Prices 30 cents will get you 7 minutes of drying time in a 45lb dryer. You never need more than 21 minutes unless you are overfilling the dryers. The washers are more expensive. I just did about 200 lbs of laundry for less than $30. I dare you to find a better deal. 2) Clean and safe This place is kept spotless. There are always multiple attendants on duty. 3) The Extras Free WiFi! Plenty of comfy seating, including nice leather couches. Vending machines in case you forget your detergent or fabric softener. read more

It's a laundry-mat. But. A really, really bad laundry-mat. I lived on Broadway while the building was initially being constructed. Disinterested and disappointed in finding out it was a mere laundry-mat to be, I never bothered to stop in. However, once our washer and dryer died, it was an entirely different story. Even though I live off of Broad now, we still make the car trip every Sunday morning instead of quickly running to the laundry-mat across the street. The open floor is consistently impeccable, the bathrooms lickable (floral scented) and the sofas and chairs clean and in great health. The machines are all brand new; digital and operated via cash card while there are several vending machines for laundry items, snacks and beverages, also card acceptable. Unlike the previous launders' I've frequented in the past, there are more than ample machines available in numerous sizes and I've never had to actually wait to use one. The dryers work beautifully and overall, I find myself spending less dinero to clean and dry several loads at once as I'd used to elsewhere. They also offer several large, flat screen televisions with accompanying remote to change at (personal) will which is pretty fly. Plus they have free wifi set up which helps to pass the time. Catching up on Days of Our Lives while surfing the web -and- folding three loads of laundry? BADASS. Careful with the digital pads on the washers, though. They can be a little tricky at first and there are zippo refunds. That and the cash loading terminals will not load anything less than $10 via debit or credit card (however with cash, you can add singles). Seriously. I tried to think of a decent reason to knock off a star but I couldn't come up with anything. Oh: and if street parking isn't available, they even have a parking lot in the back. Nifty. read more

Im very satisfied using this place two to three times per month. Freeway laundry provides excellent service and a very clean environment. Parking in the lot is very limited, but the side street and the front Street both have parking most of the time. I also love the free wifi which allows me to get a lot of work done. read more

This place is spacious, clean, and they have a card system where you can use your credit card to add money and do your laundry. Overall, I had a great experience and finished my laundry pretty fast. My only complaint is that it is expensive. It cost $3+ to do a self-service 30 lb wash, and it was either $0.30 or $0.50 for 7 minutes of dry time. read more

Horrible. First they don't take care of clothing They mix your laundry that you often end up not getting the correct clothing or getting extra other people clothing Second it was truly the worst experience They don't know knit wear and coats are for dry only cleaning. They just put them in a washing machine and two of my coats got shorten for at least 6 inches. Because I gave them all outwears and they ruined everything I lost more than 3000 dollars. read more

Negatives: I work an exorbitant amount of hours and so I don't have time to do my laundry on a regular basis. So I started using their drop off service and at first it was great. However, the service has degraded. I have an allergy to scented to detergents so I specifically asked that no fragrance detergent or fabric softener or dryer sheets be used on my laundry and SPECIFICALLY explained my reason. I was told that they noted the record and I watch them write it on the tickets, but every single time I pick up my laundry it reeks of fragrance! So I end up being itchy and uncomfortable because someone in that facility just refuses to follow the directions that are listed on the tickets! Finally while they do take special requests it's clear to me that they don't always listen and it depends on whoever ends up doing your laundry. I ask specifically and I separate out the clothing I wanted to have hung dry, BUT when I got my laundry it was clear that they dried everything including expensive tops and suit slacks that now are incredibly uncomfortable to wear. That was over $200 in items that I essentially can't wear!!!!!!!! Aside from me going in there and having an absolute meltdown because this is the fourth time that I've received laundry that was not taking care of I don't know what else to do. Other than post this review, I guess I'm going to have to find a new place that's actually going to give me the customer service that they promise. I feel bad because the manager has always been so patient and pleasant. I just wish her staff was more professional and careful. read more

I've used their "wash, dry, and fold" service several times and I swear I wish I found this place two years ago when I was a student! There's nothing better than having your laundry done for you! They charge by the pound (10lbs for $10!) very reasonable for the quality of service your getting: clean, folded, HANGED, heavenly smelling laundry! This is probably one of the cleanest mats I've been too really, comparative to that of New York for instance. The staff is extremely nice and helpful; you will feel right at home. There are tables, chairs, couches, and free wifi if you're using the self service machines--the restroom is crazy clean too! Definitely coming here again and again! read more

They have free dryers if you wash there; which is the only thing that partially justifies paying $4-6/load, plus the $1 they charge you just to get a card to use in the machines. Everything smells like chemical laundry detergent so if you have allergies/asthma just heads up. Also I took my jacket to get dry cleaned and it came back with the 2 stains I wanted out looking exactly the same as before I paid $10 to have it "cleaned." read more

I am updating my review to say that the staff now is informed by management about how to accept Yelp check in offers. In the past they told me it had to be "printed out" but now they readily accept Yelp offers with my Yelp app. This is still the cleanest and nicest laundromat in the area. I like to pop across the street to The Grange for a snack while I wait for my laundry to dry. read more

I love this laundromat! Wifi, TV, lots of seating, friendly staff! Giant washers and $.30 dry! (7 minute intervals, it takes about 3 intervals to completely dry.) The best spot! Ps. You have to manually put the dryers on high heat, but after you do that, and split your laundry to a few dryers, your laundry will be dry in about 20 minutes! You have to swipe your card 3 times before pushing start for a full dry. read more

Wouldn't it be great to have someone else do your laundry for you? At Freeway Laundry, you can! I took advantage of their drop-off service to have my comforter washed. My poor comforter... now covered in Boston Terrier hair and spit since my boyfriend moved in. I dropped it off and the next day picked up my freshly fluffed and folded comforter. The process was super easy. Although on the tad pricier side ($12), it was worth every penny. Staff was professional and courteous! Lose your receipt? NO PROBLEM! They even give you a plastic rewards card, so you don't have to hold on to those silly paper receipts. Simply hand over your card. Freeway Laundry can easily look up your order. read more

I've used the self-services laundromat and also the dry cleaning services. The laundromat side is above average, space and machines are well kept and clean compared to some of their competition around town. The free wifi is a bonus especially if you're waiting on your dryer load. The dry cleaning is just ok--on occasion an item of clothing that comes back has needed to be sent back out and the pricing is on the high side. To be fair, this situation seems to be consistent around Providence--just about every dry cleaner I've found is at the same or similar price point, regardless of quality. The reason I come back here is the very helpful service from the workers here and convenience. read more

They've got everything covered that makes a great laundromat: excellent, efficient machines; free wifi; bright lighting; cleanliness; comfortable seats; easy-to-use payment system; really kind staff. Frosting on the cake: they're a one-minute walk from the (albeit expensive) snacks and beverages at the Grange. My only complaints are that the parking can be difficult and the washers are pretty expensive. For a 30-pound load, it's $4 for a cold wash - more if you want warm or hot water. But they make up for it with the crazy out-of-this-world efficient dryers. 30 cents for 7 minutes, and with high heat, I can usually dry a whole crapload of clothes in less than 30 minutes. As for parking, there's a teeny tiny lot, but even in the middle of a weekday, I haven't been able to score a spot there. There's enough turnover with street parking in the area that it shouldn't be a problem - just a little annoying sometimes. I've also used their dry cleaning services, which are perfectly fine. Prices are alright: about $5-10 for most items. They can get your clothes clean in two days, but you usually have to ask for it. It seems like the default turnaround is 3-4 days. read more
