This past weekend, the main unit was beeping. Long story short, a surveillance company (House being sold 3 doors down) cut the wire. HFC came right out and fixed the wire for us. Mike 2, was very thorough in his communication with me of how he'd locate the broken wire and what he'd do to fix it. He did a great job covering up the hole after he dug it up. It's important to us to be able to have the dogs stay at home when we're away so having someone come to the house is absolutely incredible. Lauren and her staff have always been great with our dogs and even when something hasn't 'gone well' (let's just say intestinal distress) they've been great about cleaning up and contacting us. It's also great that since they come to our house instead of boarding the dogs we kind of get a built in house sitter too-not that there's any reason to break in (besides, the dogs would love a chance to sic balls). I signed him up for the basic…read moreobedience class, which is a 6 week class (45min each) and meant to focus on the more elementary commands (starting with sit, down, etc). My puppy did improve a bit during the course of the training, but the lessons are really focused on educating the owner about how to train the dog... Lisa will tell you what to do and more importantly why. It does require that the owners put in the time at home to practice though. I admittedly need to spend some more time at home reinforcing these lessons so my dog will improve. The lessons were great. Lisa was patient with all of the dogs (I had attended a different school many years ago with my prior dogs, and the instructors there were very strict and lacked patience, which made it so difficult that I ended up quitting). And the class size is really small (mine had 3-4 dogs, and I think there is a maximum capacity of 5). I like how she starts each exercise by demonstrating it with one of the dogs. She did bring her dog in one day and it was REALLY well behaved.
