This was the best class I could've ever asked for. Both instructors took extended amounts of time making sure every single person in the classes received individual constructive feedback. The 101 course involves hours of practice riding and learning the feel of a motorcycle, as well as several hours in a classroom understanding riding and driving. It was the most thorough course of training, learning, riding, understanding, observing, and feeling everything motorcycle related. They're very passionate about making sure you feel ready and safe to own, ride, and operate a motorcycle. They didn't have the tire I needed but mounted the tire a found at the shop next door. I had never been in before and they were very busy. The Yamaha factory demo semi was there giving demo rides and the shop was very busy. I came after 3:00 pm and they were able to get my tire mounted. The shop next door? I have spent well over $1000 dollars on gear and tires in the last year but they couldn't manage to take care of me.

So,…read moreyesterday I called and got "Matt" on the phone, and I made a fair offer on the bikes, so I might help my son by teaching him to ride. Road therapy. "Matt" took the offer to his "manager," and they responded by actually substantially INCREASING the price of the advertised bikes. I asked "Matt" to go to work for me and try to negotiate a reasonable deal, and "Matt" promised he would talk to the owner of the store and get back to me this morning. Matt never called me back. No counter offer, no negotiation, not even a phone call, in fact, I think they necessarily jacked the prices up on the bikes to intentionally discourage me from buying them, in that I am out-of-state. Since I used to write for all the major biker magazines, I can tell you first-hand that bike dealerships, especially Indian and Harley dealers, used to not only have a heart, but they were professional, and square shooters, and normally went out of there way to accommodate our vets'. I would not recommend Indian Motorcycles Boise to anyone, and I do believe their business model will eventually fail by treating customers so callously.

This is the other side of my experience with online sales. Sam Tanzer at WPS, Inc. is the Shinko Brand Manager for the Korean tires I purchased online. After my experience with the local business I tried to do business with, I sent a frustrated email using the Shinkotireusa.com website. I had absolutely no idea where my email would go or if would ever see the light of day again. Three hours later I received an email from the Brand Manager of the tires I purchased. I thought that was pretty cool! He asked why they wouldn't install them and gave information I was looking for. We exchanged a few messages and he made me feel good about my purchase. The local business made me feel guilty. One last point is that WPS,Inc. does not sell to consumers. They deal with wholesale only. He did not need to communicate with me. He could have forwarded it to one of the businesses that he sells to. He handled it directly. That was nice. Thanks Sam
