We found Happy Officiant through a Google search when looking for someone to officiate our ceremony. By the looks of it, this company is just starting out. As part of a promotion of some sort, we were able to book Summer for a low price. Overall, I was pleased with the communication between Summer and me when planning our big day. We were able to pick and choose what we wanted to be said in our ceremony which was very nice considering my husband and I are not very religious people. Summer came out to our rehearsal dinner and did a dry run through what was going to be happening on our special day.
I have to give them only 3 stars because during our ceremony, Summer at some point during our vows substituted my husband's name with Brad- his name is Kyle. In the moment, we couldn't believe that it had happened.. and it was of course the joke of the night which got old really quickly. I felt bad for my husband but luckily our pgotogrphoto took care of that pretty quickly, putting a stop to the teasing by dinner time. It was also unclear as to when we needed to place the rings on each other fingers and say "I do".
Some suggestions maybe? Have a ceremony script that has blank spots in place of a person's name and when it comes time for a wedding, write in the names of the people. I think what happened was Summer was reading from the already printed ceremony script that had random peoples names and never crossed theirs out and had jotted ours in on the sides or not at all. And during the rehearsal dinner, when practicing our entrances and parts of the ceremony, be clear as to when the rings are placed on the fingers and after what line we say "I do". We've never been married before so we count on you to guide us. read more
