Wouldn't recommend going here if you're a guy who wants a quick pedicure. I appreciated the service and attention to detail that the technicians showed during my visit, however, I was disturbed by the way I was handled by the manager. I'll explain my position:
Upon entering the establishment, I was not greeted at all. I proceeded to put my name on the list for a manicure and pedicure, and at the time there were two patrons ahead of me while most of the technicians were working on customers already. Moderately busy which is completely understandable. The manager comes over and asks the three of us waiting (the two patrons and myself) if anyone is looking to get a pedicure. We all respond, but the two patrons (mother and daughter) are waiting for someone specific, and she advises them that since they want to sit together she will wait until two chairs together are available. She then instructs me to occupy one of the open chairs to wait for the next available technician. This wait lasts about 45 minutes. The mother and daughter proceed to sit down in two chairs next to me. Two other technicians (one who was requested, one who was not) wait on them. As they were there before me, that's reasonably understandable. However, two new customers
sit next to them and are immediately waited on by a gentleman. At this point, I'm perplexed so I proceed to ask the manager why they are being waited on before me given that they came after me. She motions towards another technician who has been waiting on a completely different customer, and states that she will be assisting me and she's almost done. I ask her why the gentleman cannot wait on me and she tells me none of the guys wait on men. She then mentions that she told me there would be a wait, and I stop her immediately and tell her that I was fully aware of a wait with no specific time in mind but that she did not articulate those particular variables when she seated me (ie. male technicians don't service men, the mother/daughter duo would be getting the next technician outside of the one they requested, and that there was actually someone specifically assigned to me). At this point, she tells me that if I want to leave I can, but that the technician is about to come service me. I immediately shut down and tell her she does not have to continue to explain herself (which she does) and that I'm good to move on with service.
It's difficult to respect management that has no empathy for, and finds no value in their customers feedback or concerns. I felt her energy was very dismissive. I was waited on differently from when I entered the door but I ignored that energy and tried to push past. I also tried to voice my concern with the manager and was pretty much told after inquiring about my 45 minute wait that if I wanted to leave I can. I'd never go back and I wouldn't recommend going if you're a guy or if it's a busy day. read more
