This was my second time going to this place. The first time was great but yesterday I went for a full set and a pedicure with acrylic overlay, let's just say it was $150 wasted!!!! The acrylic on one of my feet looks terrible because it's so thick and I kept telling him I didn't like it and he claimed to fix it but only to discover when I got home how bad it actually looked. My girlfriend has even came in one time with a chipped nail (decent size chip in it too) and this man basically rebuilt her nail and it looked flawless. He's always so friendly and kind, waves and smiles anytime we walk in the door even if he's insanely busy. We would wait 2 hours if we had to for him. Oh gosh, why didn't I read the reviews!? I have a salon that I love (Classy Nails), but they are closed on Sundays. I had a broken nail and some free time on a Sunday, so I gave this a shot. The woman who worked on my nails was very nice and her English was great - but that is where the positives ended. My nails are a mess. I have polish on my skin, jagged edges on my nails, and a bumpy polish line... My cuticles weren't even trimmed well. When she first finished the white edges and asked me to look and let her know what I thought, I was so overwhelmingly disappointed, I didn't even know where to start. If she couldn't even see the many things wrong with my nails, how was she going to fix them? I pointed out a severely jagged nail edge, and she filed all my nails again, and then brushed gel polish right on top of the file dust. No wonder the polish is so bumpy! My nails likely wouldn't last a week because she kept filing the horrible edges rather than filing first and then capping the edges so they last forever. I'm going to a friends wedding next weekend and will have to get this fixed tomorrow! What a waste of time and money!! read more

I got a pedicure and the woman butchered my toe. She kept cutting deeper and deeper on the sides even when she could tell I was in pain and the toe kept bleeding. It is now two days later and my toe is very infected. I went to the store to get a refund, the manager was a complete jerk and said they don't give refunds. My friend and I went here to get our nails done before the beach. My friend had Vincent and asked for short oval nails he literally said no he wanted to do coffin and she thought he was kidding. But he proceeds to do her nails super long maybe a centimeter off of the tips and she asked him to cut them multiple times. He replied no and then tried to charge her 70 dollars because they were long. He finally agreed to cut them (but barely) then charged her 60 and acted like she never asked for them short. they need to FIRE this guy. This is the second nail salon I have visited since moving to B/CS the beginning of April. I have acrylic overlay with gel polish. I moved here from the Philadelphia area and typically got 2 1/2 weeks to a fill. My last experience in B/CS was a train wreck. This experience was great: no rush to "pick a color" and colors were organized, clean and precise work, pleasant staff, no to minimal wait without needing an appointment (because who has time for that?!), and best of all, I am over 2 weeks in the the work was so well done I will get 3 weeks out of this fill no problem. I am an out of towner here visiting my family. I had some time to waste while waiting to meet my sister for dinner n a movie so popped into Happy Nails. Was greeted by a lovely smiling lady who showed me where to sit n then another lady came over. She had ear buds in watching a movie on her ph. I had shellac on so it needed to soak off she put clips with cotton n said 5 mins after 15 mins went by came back still watching movie with a red bowl. She removes the shellac but Get this I'm getting a manicure she brings a bowl of plain water. Squirt lotion on my fingers n clips the cuticles finally something mind u still watching movie she pushes back my cuticle n buffs them n begins painting I chose orange when she was done I looked at them was very disappointed there was paint on my skin around the nail and it was just ugly to be honest I asked for a 2nd coat of top layer she seemed put out but not before asking if I wanted my eyebrows done I was scared as hers was tattooed n half growing in first thought was not if they will turn out like that. But i went ahead because they needed it n if anything they would grow back. The brows turned out fine. I was charged 23 n I even left a tip as I am a cosmetologist myself. I will not be back and I only posted this for the owners sake I talked about my nails how much I hated them all weekend to everyone I was around in Bryan, it only takes one bad experience with one person before things spreads like fire. Take control of ur business and give ppl the quality they are paying for and find employees who want your business to succeed watching a movie n doing nails unacceptable. I've been going here for a few months and have only had exceptional service. I've gotten my nails done by two different men. One of them is ok, but he puts the gel on really thick and I always end up with a broken nail soon after leaving. Bach on the other hand is exceptional. He does a great job, and suggests changes when he thinks it's best for you. He saw my nails were growing out and suggested a switch from acrylic to dip. It happens, when I was getting my nails done though I was cut 3 times during my manicure and once on my foot from what I assume was rushing, the pedicure was subpar, I pay for a foot massage as included in the pedicure and never received one; as well as my feet were never smoothed as they have been in previous pedicures. I chose my polish color (a pretty lavender color) and the nail technician told me that it was "too light". I'm sorry, but why would you have polish colors out for customers to select if they were too light. I honestly like light polish colors, hence why I selected the color I did. I went back to the nail polish bottle display and selected a very vibrant hot pink. The nail technician said in a rude tone "are you sure you want this color?". I was very upset at this point and told her yes. I was paying her to do my nails, so why should it matter what color I want? Overall, the nail tech did a sloppy job on my pedicure, there was still nail polish on my skin that she failed to remove. As well as this, the techs were obviously gossiping about me. Once the nail tech finished, I waited in my chair for a bit for my toes to dry. One of the nail techs yelled and said "get up! we need the chairs!".
