I got the worst manicure that I've ever had here at Happy Nail. The technician was taking her time but was aloof and seemed to have no interest in doing my nails. I felt like she just wanted me to leave. When I left the salon, my nails were bumpy and uneven and there were big pools of polish. Within a few days, the polish was starting to lift on a few nails. The only reason I am giving them two stars rather than one is because they were super sweet to my young niece who I brought in to get her nails done with me. They made her feel like a princess. After a terrible experience in the summer I decided to come back. The owner Tammy is rude and I'm certain is unaware what good customer service means. My apt was at 5:30 they however didn't wait on me until 6. The owner Tammy wrapped presents for Christmas and socialized with regular customers not even acknowledging me or the time I spent waiting. While I waited she complained about customers calling to make appointments. This place is 2 minutes from work and convenient but going forward I'll drive to Muskegon or Grand Rapids. Fremont needs a new nail salon. read more

I received the worst Schlack French manicure last Saturday. Even when Tammy was doing my nails I had to have her fix a drip mark of white and nails she didn't even put the white on correctly. She used the thinnest layer of schlack I have ever had put in my nails and they where chipping the same day. She seemed rushed and not concerned about doing a good job even though I had an appointment. I will never waste my money here again and highly recommend any other nail salon. read more

This place was amazing. While you do have to make an appointment, which is a semi annoyance to me, I like the freedom of walking in a place at will, it is well worth it. The prices are stamdard for nails. Tammy is fantastic, super talkative, amazing artist, and soo accomodating. I never had nail art completed before (well in a manner that was worth bragging about), but she called the guy who works in the shop over and he did a beautiful feather on them. I am sad this shop is all the way up in fremount, but it is well worth the drive and the fact I do have a cabin up in Newaygo, makes traveling there less of a hassel. I brought my daughter here to get her acrylics filled. We usually go to a salon on Alpine in Grand Rapids, but the roads were icy so we decided to try Happy Nail because it's closer to home. The decor is much nicer since they moved to their new location. The overall experience was typical of almost any nail salon. They did their jobs expertly and quickly, and the prices were what we expected. No complaints. Would go here again. read more

This is by far the BEST in the area.....including Muskegon, Big Rapids and Newaygo. Not only are they professional....but the experience is fun. They are social and interact with you. We make appointments for family day. ( mom, daughters and Granddaughters) Our time is honored and they are not rushing to push you threw when someone else walks in the door. I LOVE THIS PLACE. Please don't be discouraged by the negative Nancy's - I was just here last week and I am so impressed by the quality of work and customer service at this place. They had recently moved and their new location is beautiful. I was told it used to be a garage but looking at it now, you would never have guessed! I went in for a acrylic fill with shellac polish and pedicure. For just $3 extra, you can get their callus remover gel applied to your feet and the dead skin removed. Totally worth it to keep your feet soft even in the summer when it's flip flops season. I wanted matching colors for my hands and feet - I went with #56 (light pink) on my hands and picked what I thought was a matching color for my feet. When she discovered that the colors didn't quite match, the lady who painted my toes tried a few pink shades together to make sure I get a matching tone. She went out of her way and I am so glad she did!! The guy who did my nails was also great! He removed all the old acrylics that was starting to lift, applied fresh layer on top and shaped them to perfection. Everyone in the salon was so friendly and I am so glad to have found them. I'll be getting my nails done here again everytime I'm in town!! read more

I feel bad that the people in Fremont don't have any choice and don't have any options. Their products are old the selection as horrible a they don't take the time to remove previous nails Either they do it that quick and lazy way which is just hoppin them off which takes off the previous powder dip nails or acrylic nails but it also takes off half of the layers on your natural mails I've had strong long nails my whole life and within 5 seconds they basically ruined my natural nails underneath I know there's not a lot of selection here but take the extra time and drive and find a salon that will give you the customer service that you deserve and the product You are paying for read more

I'm very skeptical when it comes to my nails because everyone sees them and I've had horrible services and I've had amazing ones, this was an excellent one. They were busy when I walked in but were quick to accommodate me and did not rush my service. All the staff members were very welcoming and polite. The salon is clean and they offer a fantastic selection of both regular polish and shellac. Prices are also very reasonable, Ken kept checking with me to see if I was happy with how things were looking even though he didn't have to because they looked great! I was very unimpressed with the quality of service. I recently moved to Fremont and was searching for a replacement provider to do my nails. I get pink and white acrylic with gel overlay. A week after arriving in town, I had a nail break and went here for the repair. They did the repair quickly and at a fair price but the quality was horrible! It looked like something I did myself and that's NOT a compliment!! After having received excellent service and quality at my previous salon, Nailcessity in Grandville, I was hopeful of finding a quality replacement salon but apparently it will be a little more difficult than just walking in to the first place I find in town. I would not recommend this salon! Now, I'll continue my search and hopefully be able to give a very positive review for the place that I do find. read more
