The first time I tried this place I found the slushies to be a bit bitter. I started ordering the mango slushy and the fruit purée adds a perfect level of sweetness. There's usually only one employee working, overall it's a nice spot to pick up a drink.
Stopped in on Friday afternoon. Parking is limited in Crocker Village. We ordered 5 drinks. Everything came out quickly. My son liked the Oreo milk tea with boba.
Soooo lemony! [Sacramento CA] We were already in the area so we stopped by Happy Lemon before heading home. Located in the Crocker Village in Sacramento... this is my first Happy Lemon visit anywhere. Hubby was not too thrilled because they didn't have his avocado drink, I gently reminded him there was a reason they called it Happy "Lemon" I ordered the Mango Lemon slushy... the drink was nice and tart, very refreshing, energizing, tasty and tropical... never mind that it was 44° in mid December outside. The flavor was overwhelming in tartness and packed the pucker power! It came with lychee jello but I had it substituted with boba. Customer service was great. We love visiting Happy Lemon to satisfy our boba and egg puff cravings. We always order the original egg puffs with salted cheese and the salted cheese milk tea with boba. No complaints with these 2 items on every visit. The strawberry milkshake with puff cream and boba was delicious as well. I do not recall the name of the other lemon tea. It was too tart for my liking. I am looking forward to my next visit.
Something bout that D5 with puff cream and slight boba balls just hits good. Nice for refreshing day to get it rolling ya feel. Just wish I had bought the houses across back in 2021
Service can be quite slow even though there's about 2 other customers in the store who has already ordered. Since teas (not milk teas) are usually sweeter on their own, I suggest lowering sweetness. Unfortunately, I got this same drink about 2 visits later and my tea was watered down. Almost as if the tea was not brewed long enough. A little disappointed.
The closest place to get bubble tea with boba to UC Davis Cancer Center. The boba specialist do a great job helping their customers, even giving me a sample to try out some teas to ensure I like it before wasting money for something I dont like. Kudos to you Happy Lemon Employees. Pros: -They do rewards programs, so please sign up. For every 10 purchase of bubble tea, you get 1 free. :) -The lobby is clean. The aroma is fresh! Cons: -No military/veterans discount. -And no Okinawa donuts. The signage threw me off, and I ended up ordering an Okinawa Drink. :(
It's always so hard for me to pick a drink here at Happy Lemon because everything sounds good! TIP: come on a Wednesday to take advantage of their buy 2 get 1 free deal! I wanted the classic green tea with salted cheese but decided to try something new instead. The ube milk tea with ube puff cream and taro balls was pretty good, and the sweetness is balanced between the plain texture of the taro balls and the sweeter puff cream. But if I was going to come back, I'd stick with my usual green tea with salted cheese because it always hits the spot! We also had an Okinawa milk tea with puff cream which was pretty good, but on the sweeter side, and a mango Yakult smoothie which is a very refreshing non caffeinated option. It has mango chunks and although the Yakult causes it to separate after a while, just give it a little stir and it still tastes just as good.

All of us unfamiliar with the menu, we ended up ordering a large boba milk tea (D1), a medium mango lemon slushy (H5), and a medium kumquat lemon green tea with lychee jelly (E10). Price was roughly $18. I found it neat how you could adjust both the sugar and ice levels on the drinks, the options being: normal, less, half, light, and none. The staff member who took our order was polite, however on two the drinks we asked for them to be made with less sugar, and they responded both times with they couldn't for one reason or another. I wonder if that was inherently true. By far, my favorite drink was the basic boba milk tea, but it didn't have enough ice! We didn't adjust the ice level at all, and it was basically fully melted and only barely above room temp. Some of the tapioca pearls were very chewy the way I prefer, but I found some of them to be a bit hard in the middle. My second favorite drink was the kumquat lemon green tea with lychee jelly! I'm glad I didn't get it less sweet because I think it would've been too bitter, as there was certainly a bitter-citrus flavor from the kumquat, but I enjoyed it. My least favorite was the mango lemon slushy, it was way too sweet and syrupy! It was not at all worth the $6. I do want to try Happy Lemon again, as I did not try their salted cheese options, which seems to be their specialty. I would like to try their boba milk tea with puff cream or their black tea with salted cheese.
Great location in the Sac City College/Land Park/Curtis Park area, next to Ono Hawaiian and nearby Somi Somi. I like this particular Happy Lemon because they aren't as busy as the other ones and their service is fast. I ordered 2 large drinks, customized ice and sweetness levels on both, and added mango boba and salted cheese cream to my mango green tea. Prices for a large about $6+. I got my 2 drinks and right away I noticed there wasn't any salted cheese cream. I gave it back to the staff and she politely apologized and added it to the drink. It was delicious and the mango boba pearls were refreshing. My husband loved his lemon green tea. You cant go wrong with any of their lemon drinks! Makes me happy that they found a home in this new shopping center.

Shout out to the ONE guy working today at 4:00pm on a hot day. He was so calm and friendly even though he was swamped. Our drinks came out quick and refreshing. The lemon yakult is super tart even with normal sweetness which was perfect for a hot day today. Seriously give this guy a raise- he delivered excellent service. read more

We like to stop by sometimes after visiting the zoo since it's close. I really enjoy their salted cheese topping added on to any milk tea I get. This time I also got a fruit tea and the even though I ordered 50% sweetness it was plenty sweet. Fair warning the cashier told me it would be sweet! But even with how sweet it was the tea tasted bitter like it was steeped too long! The service was good! I asked for a water cup for my daughter and they were really sweet to provide it with a smile! read more

This Happy Lemon is near Sacramento City College in a new shopping center. Everything inside the store looks spotless. The employee at the cashier is very friendly. I have my drinks a few minutes after the order is placed. It is delicious! read more
Came here at the recommendation of a local Cali girl. Lots of people were streaming through so that's always a good sign. So many options! For our first time it was quite overwhelming. They do provide their top ten customer favs which I should've followed but my tastebuds are usually a little more simple. I was stoked to know they serve real taro and not just the sugary powder. Our drinks didn't come with boba even though we asked. So we had to go back in and ask for it again - the employee that helped us was nice. She didn't remake the drink but just took the top off and put the boba in and resealed our cups. I liked my drink, my husband wasn't a fan. Just a tip, if you really like boba order double boba cos the one scoop for .50 did not satisfy my craving. Would like to come back and try some of the cheese foam that they are known for! read more
Happy Lemon is a solid place to get your boba fix on. With a name like Happy Lemon, you'd probably expect lemon style drinks to be their specialty... and you'd be right. They have a selection of whole lemon drinks as well as other milk tea flavors. If you're a big fan of lemon, I think you'd be pretty happy here as their lemon drinks have a strong lemon punch. I definitely got my fill of lemon flavored goodness in my drink. While there are traditional milk tea flavors, one popular flavor that was missing was taro! Taro flavor is one of the staples of milk tea and is a mainstay of boba cafe menus. I really wanted a taro drink to balance out the tartness of the lemon one I got. It was nowhere to be found! I ended up getting the oreo flavor which I thought would give me a similar experience to a taro milk tea. It was creamy, but was not taro milk tea! Happy Lemon is a solid cafe for some boba, but I do wish their menu had taro on it! read more

I love happy lemon! I haven't been to this location in a while. There was only one worker making drinks and taking orders when we got there in the evening. We took our time to figure out what to order. I ordered the Dragon Fruit Lychee Juice with Salted Cheese with 0% sweetness. We also got to try their bubble waffle, which was amazing. read more

Boba lovers from all over Sac, let's all spiritually hold hands from 6ft and rejoice on this new find for me! So, I finally made it into Happy Lemon this week! Located on Crocker Village in Sacramento by Sacramento City College! Once again so many Boba places to choose from, especially here in Sac! And I can't lie to y'all, I really thought this place was a lemonade stand. Lmaoooo, I kid you not, I REALLY thought this whole time Happy Lemon sold different kinds of lemonade or something. I had no idea that they had boba drinks. And if my memory serves me right, I don't think they have any kind of lemonade on their menu. Yeah, it's safe to say that ya girl is always late to the party if you know what I mean lmaooo Interior: Very trendy, modern and chic interior. Clean look you know what I mean. I'm sure once you look at my pic of the order counter, self explanatory. Drinks: I will be one hundred percent honest with y'all, I am a true Dairy Ho'. Yes, I said it and you read it right! I love milk, REAL MILK. So, it should never be a shocker when you see my check-ins at Safeway for milk lmaoo. So, I ordered the Okinawa fresh milk with Boba! Omg, let me tell you, I don't know what kind of special cow they milkin' but the full cream texture of the milk, brown sugar and boba was sooooo good! It didn't taste watery or cheap, you fan taste the thickness of the milk. Thicker than my thighs thick.... Customer service: The young man working that night was very nice, my only complaint is that you should at LEAST always say hello to customers that walk in, so that they feel a sense of welcome. I was a little skeptical cause when I walked in, he didn't make eye contact with me cause he caught up with a huge order from the folks be in front of me. But when it was my turn, he was very nice. Price: I would say prices are decent and I think their prices are worth it cause they do use good quality. Especially with their dairy products! My large Okinawa fresh milk was $5.00 and it was NOT overloaded with ice. Lots of milk and Boba with the perfect amount of ice! I would highly recommend Happy Lemon to customers. I can't say much about the other drinks cause I have not tried not will I ever because I'm beyond SOLD on the Okinawa fresh milk! And it is one of their popular drinks! Be sure to stop by! read more

I am glad they are opening more Happy Lemons around the Sacramento area. This location seems like it is in an upcoming area and definitely glad it is ever so slightly closer to where I live. Love the quality of drinks and every location has not yet let me down. I will definitely be coming back to this location more often! Drinks I have tried at this location: 1) Strawberry milk shake puff cream -I decided to take a leap of faith and give this drink a try for the first time -I was told by the worker that the cream puff mimics beard papas, which I would say is pretty accurate and mixed well with the strawberry milk shake -The strawberry milk shake it self is way better than a "typical" milk shake you would get at say in-and-put 2) Fresh passion fruit mango green tea -I love how refreshing this drink is! Although the passion fruit seeds have a sourness to them, I love biting into them every time. -Unfortunately, you are not able to adjust the ice on this, but apparently the sweetness you can 3) Mango Yakut -Another great refreshing drink! -Perfect blend of Yakut with the mango Other recommend drinks -Strawberry oolong tea with salted cheese -Oolong tea with salted cheese -Taro Milk Shake with Boba (They use real taro and not powder! Second time trying it, 6 months apart. Both times just bad. Okinawa Fresh Milk Boba tasted like cold milk and not fresh boba. And very little boba included. $6 drink, terrible. Will never return. Fooled me twice, shame on me I guess. read more

Located in the new Safeway Shopping Center in Curtis Park this Happy Lemon is just a wee bit closer to me than the 65th Ave location. The drinks are just as good here as their other locations. However this location puts it next to Five Guys Burgers,Panda Express and coming soon Ono Hawaiian BBQ- nom noms for all! read more

The solution to these high California temperatures is the H1. Lemon Slushy! This drink is the most refreshing thing I have had in a while. It's the perfect balance of sweet and tart. If I could bring one thing back with me from this trip, I would take a cooler of this lemon slushie :D read more
Excellent BOBA spot! This spot was literally around the corner from where my friend stays. I wish she would have taken me here my first day in Sacramento (I would have went everyday). She took me here before taking me to the airport to leave. I got their mango green tea with mango boba and cheese foam topping. DELICIOUS . I wish I had gotten two instead of one.
