Happy Jack's is a must during a visit up to Bolton. They toy store is huge with so many fun and unique items. My kids could spend all day here. Everyone that works here is great and they have no problem with kiddos running around trying to touch every toy. Next door to the the toy shop they sell clothing / hats / shoes / etc. They always have the cutest clothing and I usually walk away with a great new item. I didn't get many pictures here but I'd recommend to anyone visiting Bolton Landing. My work conference had a Luau night and my husband needed a shirt. We were able to find one that was great quality. I also bought a Lake George hoodie and it has got to be the most comfortable hoodie I've ever worn. The shop is full of goods for gifting - some hilarious books and some serious books too. Novelty items. Purchased a 52" light Bar from you, box was open on one end. The Fed Ex driver said he found the parts that fell out , (while I was standing there) well short story parts missing , instructions missing. He said if it wasn't all there to file a claim. I have tried, Tried calling you and the recording says the number is no longer in service! WTH? Fed won't let me file a claim until they can talk to you! Fun little store on the Northern side of "downtown" Bolton Landing. Half the place is a kids toy store filled with 80s nostalgia and toddler-appropriate playthings as well as a surprisingly large selection of books ranging from baby board books to YA novels. The other side of the store is a beach town catch-all, filled with t-shirts, hats, swimwear, sandals and souvenirs. Is it touristy? You betcha. Overpriced? Yep! But it's still one of the best shops in the Lake George area. The quality of the products (particularly the shirts) is noticeably better than those offered in the Village, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. If you happen to be there over Labor Day weekend, they always have a big end of season sale that pretty much negates the mark ups. Our favorite stop for Bolton Landing and Lake George wear in the region! Pro tip: if you value your rear view mirrors (and possibly your life!), don't bother looking for parking along Lake Shore Drive/9N. Overpriced, but everything in this town is. A very cool collection of random gifts and novelties. Has a 'adult' bent, but right next door (and connected inside) is a kid's toy store. So if you don't want your kids to ask you what the game "Drunk, Stoned, or Stupid" is about, you can send them next door. Many items from https://www.genuinefred.com/ and https://kikkerland.com/ but also lots of beachwear, books, sunglasses (and not the crappy $9.99 rest stop specials), accessories, gifts, etc. As of July 2021, mask use by customers was not being enforced at all and only half the employees had masks. read more

This is the cutest store in Bolton. They have beautiful clothing, lots of shoes and novelties. Excellent management, keeping everyone safe by only allowing 18 people in the store at once, having hand sanitizer ready as you walk in and making sure everyone wears their masks which includes wearing it OVER your nose! Someone went into the store and fought with the woman who works there arguing about not putting her mask over her nose and had the nerve to post a bad review. What is wrong with people? Wont ever shop there again. Went there tonight with my grandkids to get some toys. I was third person in line and no ones credit card went through. They called who I imagine was an asst manager. She was so incredibly rude to have to put our credit card in manually so that the transaction wouldngo through. It was like she was doing us a huge favor to buy their goods. Today I witnessed the staff at this store deal with some lunatic (I think it was Jennifer A), who refused to have her kids wear their masks properly. The staff is looking out for the health and safety of both employees and the customers, yet this crazy lady felt the need to spew some Trump is God nonsense/COVID is a hoax. Happy Jack's is a tourist shop in the town of Bolton Landing. It's the largest shop outside of the town's market. Happy Jack's is truly an all-around store, with its items ranging from novelty gifts to beach supplies to new shoes and kayaks. I personally went to Happy Jack's for new sunglasses. I was beginning an eight-day vacation and was planning to do a sizeable amount of hiking (note: never hike here without sunglasses.) They had over a hundred glasses in two different sections of the store. I got my personal sunglasses for a tad under $45.00, which I am not happy nor angry about. It's worth noting that they may try to trick you with a "50% off" section, which is basically items that were originally priced for 250% what they should have sold for. Overall, Happy Jack's is an A-OK store and would be a great place to bring your children for shopping. I left with sunglasses, candy smokes and a "get your shit together" novelty item. Very fun shopping experience but do not go there with the expectation of anything else than a novelty, young store. The staff tries to be helpful but there's not much room, besides clerks, for them in the store. They tried to bait me into buying some expensive sunglasses, but they later directed me to the ones I purchased (they're working very well so far!) I just visited this store while on a recent vacation. I walked into the kids-toy store side first and was promptly told by the sales clerk that the grown-up merchandise was on the other side.. So, I picked out and paid for the yo-yo I came in for before heading over. They have a whole new line for those of us who are young at heart. There are tons of nostalgic games and items which will make you laugh. Much to my daughter's joy, I let her pick out a bunch of items for her Christmas stocking.
