Four Paws has several buildings for specific dog types or requirements. So they maintain separate and different play areas for different dog needs. When we are traveling, often Amy sends us photos of our dogs at play or at rest so we know that they are doing well. We very much appreciate the personal touch and communications. The only caveat is make a reservation. Particularly during holiday. They do fill up. As stated, we are a regular and repeat customer. We drive almost 30 minutes to get there and it is well worth the drive.

Other places, don't have the attention, facilities, and in many ways, personalized attention we receive at the Rover Resort. We leave them with the peace of mind that they will be treated as guests at the resort and not just as another boarding place. The staff is amazing, they are customer oriented, respectful with their guests and owners and overall, you can see and feel their goodwill and commitment to ensure our pets have the best experience. Our puppies are now much older, and they are treated with love and care. As long as we are allowed to enjoy our puppies, we will have them stay at Rover Resort. This way, we can enjoy our vacation with peace of mind. They really are the best of the best.

My younger cat is a land shark and my older cat requires meds 2x a day as well as a supplement. I decided to book a sitter to come out from here and I couldn't have been more happy and at ease while out of town. They use a portal which makes everything a breeze once set up. It's easy to schedule times and put in pet information. The sitter comes out for a quick consultation so you also know who will be in your home plus give them any extra guidance. When the sitter comes while you're gone they leave a journal with notes as well as taking a photo of your pets so you know they're well taken care of. I never worried once that my older cat would receive his medicine because I always had the update and photos. This was the best part. The sitter also waters plants, grabs mail and takes out the trash and change lights which is an added bonus. The one thing I would of liked would have been a way to get in touch with the sitter directly. My cat bit my sitter, and I was able to communicate on the portal but there was a delay in response. So I had to wait to hear what the drs said and how bad it was etc because I had to go through the main line, which someone doesnt always answer. It would be nice to be able to text the sitter and follow up so I wasn't stressing it was worse than it was for a day. Other than that though, wouldn't change a thing! The cost is really reasonable for what you get and the peace of mind is priceless. You can rest assured your pets will be in great hands. Look forward to using the service again in the future!

After doing a TON of research we decided to use Personable Pet Care and are we ECSTATIC we did!!! First Julie, the manager, was great at answering all the questions my fiancé had which is no easy task as she had tons of questions. She let us know our options and did a great job letting us know what would be our best option for our 6 day trip and was always quick to respond to any questions we had. She left us comfortable enough that we agreed to allow them to come out for the consultation to go over all the paperwork and make sure the sitter was comfortable with our dogs and left us at ease about the service. Our consultation is when we met the pet sitter, Lacey, who would be looking after our dogs and home. She beyond impressed us as she was thorough and took the time to explain everything and asked a lot of good questions to make sure she provided the best care. She even took notes of all our concerns and special request request ( Opening blinds, switching lights, turning on tv, opening bedroom door for dogs and etc). Once we actually departed and we left our dogs which we felt was going to be overwhelming and stressful is when we were put at ultimate ease. The communication was outstanding and we heard from Lacey consistently and received tons of pictures of our fur babies. Seeing how well they adapted to her and she kept us up to date was outstanding. We will definitely start using her and the service for regular walks and now are at ease about traveling knowing that we have Julie, Lacey and Personable Pet Care looking after our babies!!!! Previous boarding experiences were fine however when they screwed our boarding this last time with…read morevaccine records and did not have the date of a vaccine they needed the ball was dropped. Manager onsite 10/14 apologized that previous person put the date in wrong in 2024 so it did not flag as overdue and the next person who checked the records I just sent for 10/2025 visit did not actually look and just approved it. We had to scramble as the vet was closed and we flew out next day. Over $600 to fly with pets and change hotel to pet friendly and buy all supplies and spent vacation driving extra because the hotel was so far away from the city. No follow up call from PP during this. Once I left negative feedback we got a call and further excuses claiming they emailed me the day prior to the reservation about the vaccine date which is a lie as the manager the day of the reservation said they had the ALL CLEAR and there was NO reason for them to "double check" previously reviewed reservations. Excuse me but needing a vaccine date for an upcoming or day off reservation but claiming an email was their ONLY communication attempt is ridiculous. They call and confirm, they send text reminders, etc. We had NONE of this. In the end we were offered a one night free stay for each cat for next time which is about $100 - as IF we will be booking again. Moral of our experience is if you book call and confirm but also remember this is a corporation and they do NOT care about people. The employees are nice but also remember they just work there. Will have to now find a better option before our next trip.

Before moving to Texas one of our fur babies would bark her lil head off the entire time she would be at the groomer so much so that I could hear her outside when I got out of my car. And due to that her baby would just shake. When I picked them up from MAH from grooming I did not hear her and asked them did y'all sedate her?! And they asked who gave her name and they laughed and said "Noooo....why do you ask?" I explained to them and they said no she's been fear the whole time! That enough was well worth it. But everyone was so kind, smiling, and very obvious they love and care about all pets! And it's that way from the desk staff to the techs, to the veterinarians! I'm not sure on everyone's names to call them out so I have to lump everyone together! We love them all! I was also surprised this last time I picked up my babies from grooming when Mya apologized for my sr dog's mouth not being groomed very well because he would not cooperate. He looked great as always! I couldn't see anything wrong! And really if there had been I understand because I know how he's started doing me the older he gets. For grooming customers who have ridiculous expectations I say this try and do what you want them to do yourself with the outcome you expect and then your attitude WILL and SHOULD change. And if so and you've been rude and ugly then you NEED to apologize!

Of all the vet offices I have used, the Animal Medical Center of McKinney is the standout for me. I have not found a better team at any vet I've ever been to. From the get go, the front desk staff is unparalleled. Outside of being personable and efficient, they have gone above and beyond to help me several times and I am very grateful. They very clearly take the safety and health of the animals that they see as their number one priority, and they genuinely care about the pet owners who feel the same. A huge shoutout to them, because their impeccable service is what inspired me to make this review in the first place. The vet techs I've seen here are absolutely stellar--Jewell and Rachael have always been so professional and kind every time they've helped with my dogs and cats, and it's always a pleasure to see them! At other vets, I've had vet techs who have shoved my elderly dog while taking a weight and made errors that have impacted the administration of medications and some who just genuinely seemed like they were overworked to the point of just wanting to plow through and move on. The environment fostered at AMC is so different from those vets that I couldn't even imagine that happening here. The vet techs have been communicative and worked with each of my furbabies as though they were their own beloved pet. And finally. I have now seen all three of the vets currently working at AMC at least once (that is, Dr. New, Dr. Rippy, and Dr. Williams), and I think this is the first time I've liked all of the vets at a vet office equally and felt equally comfortable with each of them. Most of my pets are elderly and some have complicated health issues, and these vets have been such a huge help in the wellbeing and treatment of my pets. The treatment plans are always presented with options that are mindful of the associated expenses, and I rarely have to ask about the estimated cost of treatment plans, because the vets are up front in that regard. Treatment plans are always a dialogue (and one that they do not rush.) I've never felt talked down to, deceived, guilted, or coerced by these vets, which is not something I can say about some other vets I've seen. The AMC vets are phenomenal to work with, and they really know their stuff. Staff aside, I have also never felt overcharged. They do not nickel and dime, and the cost has never been unreasonable, outrageous, or a surprise. The wait times blow every other vet I've been to completely out of the water, with my wait times generally being only a few minutes. In my experience, if you book a 2 pm appointment, you can expect to be seen by 2:05. I don't think I've been alone and waiting with my pet for longer than 5 minutes at a time. I know it's a small thing, but I just really love having a vet office that respects my time. I've been nothing but impressed by AMC and I really hope my experiences with them continue to be positive. I see so much promise after my first year with them and I feel so assured that they care about my pets as much as I do. Thank you, AMC!!
