after the 2nd tech came out(monday)
    Bill D.

i wanted a fuse box installed in my kitchen(i live in a condo and thats where it is)---got a qoute which included work permit handling fees so i approved--oddly enough they wanted to send someone out next day but i said no wait a week--so, a week goes by and the first tech comes out(saturday)--he started by wanting to disconnect the main power wires while it was still hot which dont seem like a good idea to me-so i shut off the power--then he just used a crowbar to remove the fuses from the old panel-ok-----basically he just keep talking to me about his girl problems and just sayin he wanted go home and just finish---couple hours later he comes to me and asks if the box was going to be inspected--i kinda thought he had the work permits with him and after he asked me that i knew they didnt even get the permits-----well-i in knee deep now huh, dealin with a contractor who didnt even get the permits--so he finishes and left walls taken apart --later that night i find hot water heater now does not work--i started looking in box and also found they did not install the surge protector which was also included on estimate(along with a couple other minor discrepancies)---i called next day(a sunday)and mentioned the hot water heater and she says someone will get back to me--no one did----called monday and they sent someone out(tech 2)--he spent about 10 minutes looking at water heater and told me that the hot water heater was getting power--i mentioned the fpl load management box(next to the water heater) wasnt powered up cause the green light wasnt lit up--he said maybe the LED is burnt out--after that he installed that surge protector and then started patching up the wall(mostly) as they only had 2 hours that day cause i had to go to work---i call on wednsday and ask about the water heater and Matt says friday and i said fine--i then ask him about work permits and basically he starts yelling at me that i am asking questions--all these other reviews where they say he yelled at them they were not kidding!!!!-----i informed him i am asking questions cause his first tech was asking if there was going to be an inspection--later that night i emailed about getting copies or documents relating to work permits so i have something in writing(i emailed the address on the invoice)---so i called friday to verify they coming out for the hot water heater--i mentioned i wanted the water heater fixed first before they patch the walls--then he starts mentioning if he has to tear out the walls to replace the wiring for the water heater he will--i told him dont think about it without a work permit--he tells me i am going to tell you how this works--then he says i am asking to many questions and having meaningless conversations and i am acting like a woman--i repeated i wanted the water heater fixed first and foremost--he said he wasnt going to send anyone and i said fine--within an hour the 3rd tech came out with a drywall guy and i will say these 2 did great work--mark was able to fiix the hot water heater--the first tech did not wire something correctly basically and drywall guy patched up wall----anyway so about 2 weeks go by and still nothing about work permits so i emailed them again and then i get that i gave him a different address and he wasted half a day calling to get my wife to sign work permit documents(which i dont have a wife)--so a couple days go by then i get papers from another email address but similiar about the work permits so i signed them same or next day--took 2 weeks to get the permits after that---then around a week for inspection and the box did pass(although mark had to do a couple things before inspector got there)---all in all i highly suggest you do not do business with these people--on top of all this the estimate or job was round 4800$--other contractors wanted 2500-3300$--this is what you will get for 4800$----and then Matt yells at me that this job is costing him money!!!!!!!!!!!!!---apparently when Matt sends people out and fudge it up you are the a hole---all this took place between nov 18 2024 -jan 16 2025

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE EVER!!…read more We purchased three light fixtures totaling over $2,500 and were promised delivery within two weeks however only one of the three fixtures arrived on time. We spent five weeks waiting for the other two fixtures to arrive and every time we called we were given the run around. We were told everything from that "they are on back order" to "they're on their way", "we don't know what's going on" , "they are coming from Canada" and several times being told "they should be here in two weeks". Finally we cancelled the order 6 weeks later and we were promised a refund for the other two fixtures totaling $900. We ordered the identical two fixtures at Home Depot, for literally $2 more, and received them from Home Depot within the week. Now 2 months later, after never refunding us, they are disputing the refund and credit charge because they are stating that it was a special order and they don't refund special orders however no where on their receipts does it say our fixtures were special ordered nor we ever told. The owner, or least he told us he was the owner, is the one disputing the refund even though he is the one who rang us up at the store. Yet when we personally went back to the store he told us someone else was the owner. He also fed us some BS about how professional they are and how they work with all their customers and keep their promises however, after dealing with this for three months and being constantly lied to and scammed, now they want to keep our money. In conclusion, we NEVER received the merchandise and now they want to keep our money, $900 worth. You can order the same items at Lowes or Home Depot without the hassle and lies. BUYERS BEWARE!!

I went in with a lamp that I found in my building's trash room; it required a pair of vice grips…read moreto tighten a nut and as mine are on the fritz I rather stupidly thought a lighting store would help me(actually I was on my way to Barnett's Hardware) with this teeny, tiny problem. I was greeted rather rudely by a surly counterman who was blabbing with his mates about nonsense. I knew at that point I should turn around and go to the wonderfully helpful and polite Ace Hardware in Aventura or Barnetts; stupid me. The counterman took a pair of vice grips and tightened the nut while holding the opposite end. (God, how many times have I done this little chore, I thought.) It took him three minutes. I assumed since he didn't inform me in advance that the operation would be gratis in hopes that he would make a new customer. Not this jerk! I asked if there would be a charge and he said, "Yeah, fifteen dollars." I could see by the ugly expression on his face that I had better pony up the money so I pulled out a credit card. "Naw, he said, the minimum is $25." "I'm sorry, I said, I don't carry cash." (At that point I should have made him a gift of the lamp.) Like a dope I said,"May I come back with cash?" He thought for a minute and said, "Gimmie the card." This idiot must own the place because nobody in their right mind would hire somebody with his bedside manner. I looked around at his merchandise and noticed that they didn't have the taste of WalMart, worse. Live and learn.
