The serving is twice as big I've already eaten some....2 giant scoops of rice and a lot of chicken teriaki!!

This teriyaki place has the nicest people there's people that work there and and I think the freshest stickiest white rice and amazing chicken teriyaki I've had almost ever... In fact I cannot really think of a place that is better than this. They are always happy too to serve you and the food is hot and delicious. There to go time is very short for waiting to get your dish. They're in a convenient location shopping center in University Place. And they are just lovely people and really an example of christians of christians which they are it's really cool they play soccer play some worship music low in the background , and one time I heard it and asked, and their faces lit up because of the joy they have in running a honest good business with quality food and a lovely attitude.

So if you are looking for a feast on a budget, then welcome to Happy Hana. My friend took me here when I was in town and I will forever go back. We both got a double meat plate. I got chicken teriyaki and orange chicken. My friend got beef and teriyaki chicken. The plates come with two heaping mounds of white rice and a nice side salad. I am not a big fan of salad but I quickly devoured everything else. The teriyaki chicken was moist and supple and they don't shy away from the sauce. The orange chicken was fried to perfection and smothered in orange goodness. The rice was so hot and fresh it was steaming when it arrived. I also got a coke which was as crisp as the day is long. We also got egg drop soup. I am not a huge fan since its basically chicken noodle with veggies but I could've drunk the soup liquid portion. It was so flavorful. One of the only places I actually like their soup. They played Christian music the entire time which was nice. Very family-friendly. The service was so passionately nice and caring I really felt taken care of. The tables were clean when we arrived and the entire restaurant was spotless for being the dinner rush. The owners really care. I will go back once I am in town. It is worth making a trip out.

What a dynamite little place in UP. We've tried an assortment of things, from the bento box to the teriyaki to the sushi. Everything has been surprisingly high quality. The chicken in the teriyaki is still not quite as good as Teriyaki Bowl in Queen Anne (my absolute favorite), but everything else was great. One over worked but friendly woman taking orders and providing table service. It can take a little bit longer to get food (or in our case, our boba) but she does a hell of a job for one person. They seriously need to hire someone else up front. Only bummer was that our bubble tea was under blended (large chunks of ice) and the tapioca had not quite thawed. This made for some pretty terrible textures, but the flavors were still decent. Highly recommend this place for lunch or a cheap dinner, probably wouldn't order another boba though!

Hana platters are $21 and feed 4...though it says for 2!

Great flavors, fast service and super friendly staff! Their tofu teriyaki is better than most teriyaki places in the area!

I remember seeing a video on Instagram about this place because it has fun nerdy themed rolls and…read morecocktails from anime, video games, and movies which is always a must visit for me. My boyfriend and I was in the area so we decided to stop by and saw they even had lunch specials. We arrived and there were a few tables as well as a few customers waiting for a take out order. We waited to be seated and it didn't take long before our waitress led us to a table near the window. We were given three different menus composing of their regular menu, lunch menu and a fun guide to help sushi lovers/non-lovers to find a roll that best suits them. They offer quite a bit of variety for people who enjoy sushi, who prefer non-sushi items and even a fun non-alcoholic drinks menu for those who enjoy coffee, fruity drinks or sodas. The decor in here is very minimal and doesn't really fit the vibes that they seem to be going for, as they have beautiful piano music playing the background and it feels like they are trying to go for a more upscale experience from their presentation, food offerings and prices. They do also have infused orange water too, so I feel they should do more with their decor to truly elevate the experience here. Our waitress was very professional and efficient, she came to check on us when appropriate and served other tables with the same professionalism and smile. I got the Mermaid Princess which was beautifully and tastefully crafted! Themed drinks and food can be tricky if it's just randomly thrown together but you can tell there was a creative and thoughtful mind behind this creation. For food, I got their NY steak yakimono with my choice sides being the miso soup and white rice, while my boyfriend got the Double Bubble choosing the Philadelphia roll and shrimp tempura roll. We got an order of their shrimp tempura basket later too and it arrived pretty quickly. I asked for my NY steak to be cooked medium rare and they executed it perfectly as it was tender and juicy. The miso soup was good but disappointing as it was just the broth, no seaweed, tofu or green onions to make it more memorable. They do also give much more rice than necessary compared to the meat ratio. My boyfriend's rolls were hearty as other places have smaller rolls but the cuts of ingredients and amount of rice was definitely more generous than other sushi restaurants. The shrimp tempura's exterior was perfectly crunchy while the inside was soft and chewy. I definitely want to come back to try their other cocktails, food items and sushi rolls.

It was a Sunday which was super nice cause their menu is expansive so if you have any questions…read morethey have the time to answer and not feel rushed. I love their decorations and the Korean dumpling soup was super yummy!!! We also ordered vegetable tempura which was amazing fried just right and super crispy and not greasy. I will definitely be back to try more.

I hardly ever write reviews but I feel compelled to write this one, as this is one of my favorite…read moreplaces to eat and I go at least once per week after work. The food is always top notch. I started out just getting pho and a spring roll (which are both exceptional), but I've recently started trying other things. It's all been great and the portions are huge. Getting anything other than pho leaves me with leftovers for two more meals. The ambiance is decent; better than 90% of pho places, but not as quaint as Indochine on Pearl or some other Asian fusion places. It's small, so you can hear other peoples' conversations, but that's not a problem and is to be expected. If they're busy it can be tough to get a table, although I've never been turned away and they'll even put me at a bigger table if that's all that's available, even though it's just me. I've been to other places that make you wait until a smaller table opens up, so this is a nice change. Probably the best part is the service. All of the servers are so friendly and kind. They're attentive without hovering, which I really appreciate. Oh and they keep it very clean. One thing to keep in mind: if you want basil or cilantro with your pho you have to ask for it. They'll bring lime, jalapeños and bean sprouts but that's it. It's not an issue at all, just something to be aware of if it's your first time. All in all, 10 out of 10. Great food, good portions, relaxing atmosphere, and the friendliest servers around.

Staff is very friendly. Maybe they have a new cook? The food tastes better than I remember. Food portions are large and which is probably why the pricing is higher than other Pho restaurants. Honestly I don't mind paying more for food that's done right. Food: I always get steak and tendon pho anywhere I go. This place gives me the MOST tendon anywhere! You won't find a better serving of tendon. Other places only give 2-4 pieces of tendon in my bowl- what a rip! Most of the time, the I can't even finish all of the tendon at UP Pho. Thank you for this. Please don't change! Beef Kalbi- another dish that is worth the bang for your buck. They make it just as good as your Korean restaurant. Again, you won't find anyplace serving this amount of Kalbi. Highly recommend ordering. Bahn Mi: I tried their pork bahn mi for the first time today and whoah! I love that they pack it with tons of pickled veggies, cilantro and meat. So good. The only downside is that I got it to go and the bread got a bit soft. I give the bread a 3/5. I've had better baguettes. Glad this is an option in UP!

Great sauces as well. I've eaten in store at the Lakewood location and the ramen was better. I am thinking that because it was to go, it wasn't as good. That's a pet peeve of mine. We'll definitely go back for the veggie sushi burrito.
