I have yet to get Henna, but really should one of these days! I really just go to get my eyebrows threaded. I find it to look the cleanest, irritates my skin the least of all methods and lasts the longest. At $12 I don't think I could really beat the price point either! Sadly, they will be moving from this location soon to Fashion Square. I am sad, but they have lots of locations at the valley and I will follow wherever they go (almost!)

I'm asking for something very simple, just to clean up in a little bit and do some shaping, as I usually do a good job on my own and just kind of need help shaping every once in a while. She listened, and I couldn't believe the price when she told me. $12. I will take that trip any day for $12 for an eyebrow! There is no bathroom so if you have to go to the bathroom go to Bashas like I did. She told me that she was new. The place itself is cute, pretty simple. I've been coming here for almost 3 years and have always left happy...until this past Friday between 10-10:30 AM. There was only one lady working, an older woman with glasses. She was very kind, but unfortunately, this was the most painful threading session I've ever had. It felt like far too much hair was removed, and when she finished, she applied aloe without asking (something the other ladies usually do after checking if the customer wants it). When she handed me the mirror, I noticed my brows looked a little uneven, but since I was rushing to a doctor's appointment, I paid and left. Later, in better lighting, I was shocked. My brows were extremely thin...something I've never experienced here. I've always had naturally fuller brows, even though they've thinned slightly with age, and I take pride in keeping them that way. I honestly wanted to cry. I eventually called to share my concerns, and while no manager or owner was available, the girl who answered was very sweet and understanding. I explained what happened and suggested that the threaders be reminded to always confirm exactly what the customer wants...especially when someone asks for a simple clean-up. I know brows grow back, but this has been really upsetting, especially with an event I have next weekend. This is definitely a learning experience for me, and I just want to encourage others to be specific with their requests and, if possible, stick to a threader you trust for consistency.

Turia came to a bachelorette party I was at recently and did henna tattoos for all of the ladies. I was pretty impressed with her work. She was there for approximately two hours and did maybe 15 tattoos, some more intricate than the others. I received a beautiful design on my hand and it lasted a couple of weeks. Turia's prices were the best we found locally. She does personal sessions as well. I would not hesitate to hire Turia again. Who knows, perhaps she'll even come to a future Yelp event?!
