I can't say enough great things about this terrific new spot in Keansburg that's accessible off the…read moreboardwalk or Beachway Ave. Right off the bat you'll pick up a fun vibe when you walk in, a large wrap around bar was the highlight for us, but there are picnic tables surrounding it as well as some outdoor boardwalk seats as well. Came with my wife and son and sat 3 across right at the bar. Our friendly bartender/server, Priya promptly took our drink order and we decided to start off with a pitcher of Sangria and some Oyster Shooters, that came with vodka, fresh Canadian oysters, lemon and hot sauce, everything tasted amazing. We then proceeded to order some apps, a dozen more of the Canadian oysters as well as a Shrimp Cocktail. The oysters were so fresh and delicious and the shrimps were big and tasty. For our main courses, my wife ordered a Fried Combo platter of Cod and Scallops, mu son ordered the Fried Cod Sandwich and I ordered a Fried Combo platter with Fried Clams and Fried Flounder. Everything was so delicious, all the fish was fried perfectly and so tender and flaky, the scallops, not only were they fried perfectly and delicious, they were plentiful, at least 10 of them in my wife's platter and the fried clams were so good, so tender, I loved them. While we were eating I noticed our bartender had a tee shirt that said Keyport Fishery on the back, so I asked if they owned this spot as well, she said yes. Well that explained why everything was just so good, in fact I might have enjoyed the fish here even more. What a great spot this is, even the prices are reasonable. We will be coming here a lot, if I lived closer I'd come every day, LOL.

Finally tried Lubrano's, had heard good things from friends. Decided to just go the take out route…read moreso no comments on dish presentation. We ordered the Pasta Al Forno as an appetizer & Chicken Scarpariello for the main dish. Was quoted 35-40 min when I called it in, arrived ~30 min, paid & food came out near the 40 min quote. The pasta - for us the cheese on top was perhaps over toasted as it was on the dry side. Flavor was fine otherwise. Not sure I'd order this for a main dish without added protein though. The Chicken Scarp - excellent. The chicken & potatoes were very tender. The mild sausage makes this dish come together, it adds a level of savoriness to complement the balsamic sweetness in the sauce. I also like the long angled slices of sausage nicely seared on each side, it was not expected vs other versions that I've had. Meal also came with bread to soak up that chicken sauce. Also noting the place seemed packed, only 2 spots on their lot were open plus it sounded busy inside. Will try it next time onsite with one of my many fine bottles of wine. :)

She didn't bother giving me bread when she gave the other table bread. I wasn't exactly dressed up because I spent the day shopping. Worst part of not only being ignored, was that my salmon entree was so fishy. Completely fishy. So disorganised and chaotic on a Friday night. The one time I went was a fluke. I'm not gonna return.

Tonight I am writing this because I just had a rigatoni dish the world needs to know about. Homemade pasta, San marzano tomatoes, vodka, Parmesan reggiano topped with crispy eggplant. I cannot remember a time in my life when I have had dish this good. Service is amazing. Unbelievably sweet every time we have gone. Very local feel. I just love it here for so many different dishes. But mother of God ... that rigatoni. So good. I took a picture but the lighting is bad and I am a human horror show when it comes to taking pictures. Not sure it does it justice.

I wish I remembered our hostess name but she was the best. She ensured all the food came out in a timely matter, any request we had she was on top of it. Truly exceptional service. As far as the food and their party package it's an amazing value. People drank and definitely left full, which all you could ask for. Highly recommend!

Meeting a friend for lunch, we decided upon this posh restaurant in the Holmdel center, where the…read moreanchor stores are Best Buy, Ulta, and Turning Point. Upon entering, we were told it was recently renovated. Being that I didn't know what it looked like before the renovation, this place looks very upscale. We were given two sets of menus. One was their regular menu, which is good for both lunch and dinner. The other menu had the lunch sandwich menu. The waitress indicated that the sandwiches come in two different types of bread: focaccia and Italian. I was not very hungry, so I ordered the Parma with focaccia bread, as my friend ordered the Cheese steak on Italian bread. We were then given a bread basket with whipped butter. My friend stated the bread was fresh and good, but she was hoping for the olive oil. Shortly after placing our orders, our sandwiches arrived. I was a little surprised as my Parma appeared more like flatbread than the thicker, fluffier focaccia I had expected. I didn't want to make a fuss in front of my friend, so I simply ate it. The sandwich was tasty, but I wished it had been warmed, as that would have better married the flavors and elevated the overall experience. My friend's cheese steak was huge, as the skirt steak was plentiful, and the cheese leaked out a bit, making it look remarkable. I inquired how it tasted, and she stated it was good. She just wished it had a bit more onions to break up the taste of the meat. We each ordered a cappuccino, and that was truly the highlight of the meal. The 6-ounce cappuccino came with 4 small biscotti, which paired well with the beverage. Neither of us used any sugar, and the cappuccino was excellent. The ratio between the espresso, steamed milk, and milk foam was perfectly rich in both taste and texture. I can't stop raving about it. Service was very good, and the food was enjoyable. The ambiance was chic. My rating is 3 1/2 stars, though I have rounded it up to 4 stars.

The sign on the door is correct, we do love this place on Yelp…read more We were a little nervous coming to this place but we're very surprised. We went on a Monday so nobody was inside. We were greeted at the door and were aloud to pick our seat. The ambience is such a cool Asian inspired atmosphere. Mural on the wall, little table top waterfall on the sushi station, bonsai and other nicknacks on the shelves and tv showing peaceful marine life. The menu is very sushi dense, with the whole first 3 pages being sushi. I got the shrimp tempura, dragon roll, and Philly roll with a miso soup. My partner got the green curry, miso soup and white rice. My sushi rolls were so delicious, perfectly fresh, and just so yummy. Shrimp tempura roll 9.0/10 Dragon Roll 8.7/10 Philly Roll 9.1/10 The green curry was different from what we've had in the past, it came out in more of a curry soup. It has baby carrots, onions, chicken, corn, and potatoes. It was my first time trying curry and it was pretty good. 7.8/10 Overall my experience here was nothing but positive. Seemed clean, the wait staff was very attentive, bathroom was clean, service was fast, and atmosphere was cool to look at.
