(Just after Shake Shack, Look for the Verizon store on the front corner of the building) Plenty of parking in the rear. When you enter this beautiful store, fresh organic produce in abundance are presented. Prices are on par or even better than Whole Foods. I love their self serve bins of bulk ingredients especially the nooch! Iykyk! The cold refrigerator offers an abundance of healthy options, love their plant based vegan products such as yogurts, milks and cheeses. Found my favorite jackfruit brand of frozen ingredients. Lots of vitamins offered for healthy living. Freshly grounded nut butters. Gluten free options aplenty. Healthier snack options like chips, ice cream, nuts and lots of chocolates. We've been going weekly and I can confidently say The staff are always amazing! So helpful and insightful. They offer a coupon book which can easily be used in store. Complimentary hot coffee is offered for shoppers making for an enjoyable shopping experience. Definitely worth the extra effort off route 17 south to explore this local gem of a market!

During our…read morechat, she highly recommended MOM'S Organic Market and we went not too long after to check it out. We must have passed it a few times when we are on route 17. It's a little hard to miss, however you can see it once you've entered the shopping center. Family owned and operated since 1987. Think of Whole Foods, much less busy, not a whole lot of rushing (which is a good thing) and you take your time to browse around the smaller store. The quiet and calm was cool, for a Thursday evening, not too shabby. We came across a lot of products we haven't seen before. Great options from a vast majority of gluten free to bring your own containers for pasta to help reduce waste. Plenty of signs to look at and read what we can do to be proactive with our bodies, lifestyle and the environment. I loved knowing this was a smaller scale. We accidentally forgot our reusable bags, however bought a new MOM'S insulated bag. Until next time, we will be back!

I believe this specific market came to fruition in 2013, and it attracts many NYP and Columbia employees in the 7 hours it's opened. You've got a lot of your usual NYC farmers' market players there, such as Red Jacket Orchards, and there are plenty of demonstrations by GrowNYC staff. There are also bins for compost and textile recycling. The small section of Fort Washington between 168th and 169th is lined with a multitude of fruits, vegetables, cheese, baked goods (including vegan), plants, and flowers. I always manage to leave any visit with a shopping back full of goodies for about $10 on average, and the vegetables will usually last me through five days of cooking lunches and dinners for myself. The quality of what I buy there exceeds any grocery store. (As it should.) This may be one of the lil' guys, but this is not a farmer's market to be missed if you're in the area any Tuesday from June though November!

It was 3:45 pm on Tuesday and I just wanted to buy some green beans to feed my child. I asked for a bag and he ignored me. I went to get a bag. Then he took the beans away. When I asked him where the beans were, he slammed the tomatoes he had in his hand down on the table so hard I thought the table would crack. I thought the market closes at 4 pm. I guess he didn't care if the beans rotted in his employer's truck instead of selling them. I went down to the vegetable stand near the 175 st bus depot where the guy had green beans for $2 a pound. Half the price of Morgiewicz.
