That's the point I'm trying to make: everyone loves ice cream! The shop is tiny and there are only a few high-top chairs for sitting. The employees didn't speak English but if you know basic Italian you'll be fine. Everyone, even the patrons, were extremely friendly and welcoming. We got a small cup to share. This place reminds me a lot of Grom, only much smaller. All of the gelato is homemade and it is delicious. You can't really go wrong with gelato in Italy, and Alberto Marchetti is a great stop if you're craving the cold sweet stuff!

I am so glad I did :-))) A few ladies run the place and they have a massive counter with loads of flavours. Many flavours I knew and, many I had no idea what they were. It all looked amazing. They also had a huge section of cakes and ice cream on a stick dipped in chocolate, caramel and so on. I chose a tub with four flavours chocolate, Nutella, hazelnut and pistachio. A tub of about 10-12 scoops was about €10 for the whole lot including the styrofoam takeaway container....not bad at all :-)) The taste was amazing. I loved the pistachio the best and it was probably my best ever. I have had pistachio flavour over a thousand times and never this good. The hazelnut was also amazing as was the chocolate. It's too bad I did not get much time here as I would try each and every flavour to see :-))) I would happily come here any day for a wonderful gelato :-))) amazing :-)))

When you walk in, you will probably ooh and aah at the flavors you've never seen before. To me, this place is like a fantasy for those of us who can't stay away from the intoxicating combination of lactose and saturated fat. My bill for a dual-flavored cone came to 4 euro-- well spent indeed. Use Google to find photos of the cute interiors.

You can get really excellent gelato in Turin. What sets Conogelato apart is that they use buffalo…read moremilk for their gelato. According to their website, buffalo milk enhances the flavor of the other ingredients, and results in a product that is sweeter, creamier, and with less cholesterol. I can tell you that, for sure, it has a slightly different, subtle yet distinctive flavor that is truly delicious. The other specialty of Conogelato is their "Gelato Espresso", which is a version of gelato "mantecato" that is made at the moment from scratch. During the process more air is captured in the product, resulting in a larger volume and a gelato that is softer. Imagine a soft-serve gelato that actually tastes delicious. Independently of whether you want to try the espresso or the normal version of gelato, Conogelato serves excellent gelato in a variety of flavors that I guarantee you'll love.
