Yes, there are a lot of questions to answer and paperwork to do when you sign-up for service, but everything has a purpose and you'll be glad you went through the process so then, when you leave your pets in their care, you know they're in good hands. They keep you updated, follow through and go beyond the extra mile if needed (if you have pets you know what I mean). The only limitation is that she has a limited coverage area but if you're lucky enough to be within it, you won't find any better!

Let's start with our two spoiled princesses, Mimi and Dora, one inside and one outside that we dote-on daily. As we had planned to fly out of town, their care was a huge stress-point for us, and we researched a service for weeks. Add to that is the home-security factor as well. Having Kate's team being so experienced, and secured, we've found that not only peace-of-mind, but an invaluable part of our support system for our kitty-girls. My mom is 78 so I was extremely concerned about this. I was referred to Janet by a friend. I called Janet and discussed the situation with her and was pleasantly surprised at how fast she scheduled an appointment with my mom. Janet was very professional, compassionate and most of all EFFECTIVE. After two sessions my mom's baby had stopped pulling. I was in Sweden for ten days, starting the end of September. Kristin and Kim both took care of my…read moretwo cats, Squeek and Petunia. Forthright and conscientious as they are, they texted me when Petunia wasn't eating and was moving slowly. I contacted them immediately, and they took Petunia to my vet the same day. After the vet ran tests and prescribed an antibiotic, they drove back out to the clinic, picked up the medication, and gave Petunia her first dose. They also administered another medication to stimulate her appetite. (I'm saying "they" here because I'm not sure which care-giver performed each task.) From then on, they set me continual updates and pictures and visited Petunia (and Squeek, of course) more than once a day. Short of my being home, the kitties couldn't have had more loving care.

I can…read moretell by how he greets the staff that he is happy to be there and has no fear or trepidation about going with them. And when he comes home from day camp he's had a fun day & is tuckered out. I've been able to tour the facilities & they do a good job keeping things clean and caring for the animals. They have regular kennels and suites - we usually splurge for the suites since that includes medications & extra play time. By the time we would pay for a regular kennel and add on the extras this is the better price for us. And the theme rooms are really cute. They also do grooming. I appreciate that they will bathe him &/or trim nails. I get nervous trimming his nails, then he gets nervous & it isn't good. For a few extra dollars it is worth having it done when he is at camp. Everyone is happier that way. I would never take my dog anywhere else. I trust them completely with his care.

Lucy's got us scheduled on short notice, and sent over Ana to meet our cat and understand his schedule before we left. She asked detailed question about his temperament and needs, and I felt totally confident and comfortable leaving the cat in her care. Ana kept us updated throughout the trip, brought in our mail and packages, and left a sweet note for our return. We will definitely be using Lucy's again in the future!

Strangest experience. Dee Dee took a disliking to my partner. After the interview was over, she…read morecame back and said her employees found fleas after interacting with our animals. This was a great surprise, so we took all of our pets to the vet, and he confirmed that our pets didn't have any fleas. The problem is that she made a REALLY big deal about the fleas and said that her employees wouldn't sit for us because of the fleas. She lectured us about hard it was to get rid of fleas and that we had to bomb and do follow-up treatment. She was really weird. She first said that one of her employees found 3 fleas on him during the interview. After that, when she came back, she said she was picking fleas off of the other employee and that he told her that he wouldn't pet sit for us. She was awful and oh so strange and the message was that we were lucky to have her team as pet sitters, as though we were the lucky ones to have her, not that we were valued as a customer. Keep in mind that I worked many years as a pet sitter and never would have treated a potential customer the way this very strange team treated us. There are so many pet sitters that are great. Keep looking, please. Thank goodness, our pets don't have fleas, confirmed by our vet. That said, how annoying because she didn't like my partner she made up ugly stories, I guess assuming that we wouldn't check. Very, very weird people, and we're very glad we didn't allow them in our home with our pets when we weren't home.

Dee Dee takes your pet on a nice walk, and then spends some time giving them a little cuddle. She also leaves a short note letting you know how things went. And she is very accommodating of last minute requests! Recently, a friend asked if I had a dog walker, b/c she saw a dog that looked EXACTLY like my dog. The funny part: in spite of the fact that this dog was identical to my dog, my friend wasn't sure the dog was being so good and not pulling. I need to get Dee Dee to teach me to get my dog to be as good for me!
