I came in yesterday and bought two bath bombs--honestly, they're pretty pricey, and you're probably better off going to Lush. But here's the issue: I was charged one amount at checkout, and then about 15 minutes later, my final credit card transaction showed a different amount. It's not a huge difference, but it definitely wasn't what I was initially charged. Totally my mistake for not asking for a receipt. While strolling pier 39, this little store caught my eye. It's cutely decorated with their items on display and areas designated for photos. Now, I made a few visits. My first visit was in the morning and I was able to try their scrubs and lotion (they have a little sink station). They smelled great and my hands were so soft. They stayed soft until the evening when i went back. And yes, I did wash my hands and use hand sanitizer throughout that time gap. The sales people were friendly. Some of them too much so. Upselling is definitely a valued practice here. To the point that it gets annoying and almost made me not get anything. Many phrases of "if you buy two more of these items, I'll give you this for free." So on my second visit i left with a scrub, lotion, and several bath bombs. Easily over $100. Needless to say, this place is pricey. I really am happy with my scrub and lotion. The bath bombs were cute but I wouldn't get them again, for the price that they are. Howd I get lured back again? Sales associate mentioned they were doing free facials the next day. Well, i don't mind paying a visit to the fisherman's wharf on my final day for a FREE facial! Again, it was a play on words. The facial turned out to be just a chance to use their truffoire product. Advertised as a white truffle skin care. Afterward, my face felt smooth. The associate helping me this time couldn't stop talking about how it's cleared up their acne. While i went to eat and walk around, i read the reviews and looked up the original seller. This stuff is expensive but they seemed to be offering it for a deal. Sounds too good to be true. But eh, i splurged when i went back for my final visit. I felt like chum in water cause the upselling turned up to a level 12. It was overwhelming and stressful. I finally conveyed i only wanted the cleanser, toner, day cream, and facial peeling. Does it work?? Well, i have used the products for a month now and I do notice that my pores are smaller, skin brighter, and I've had virtually no breakouts. I do believe the chemicals they use are really potent so i use it sparingly. Along with the fact that it's expensive and I'm not looking to make such a big purchase again. Like I mentioned, the upselling is annoying and so after being persuaded to get more than what i had expressed an interest in, I finally made my purchase. Before leaving, what I assume was the store manager pushed another pitch: because of my purchase, I could choose a free item from their "sister store." Some robot store i can't remember the name of. The "free item" became "50% off," and more lines like, "If you get this, I can give you that." Thinking back on it still makes my eye twitch. I wasn't interested but they insisted. Ended up dealing with more upselling. The free item turned into 50% off and if "if I get this. I can get this. Great deal...etc". Recalling it makes my eye twitch. I finally left but the experience left me flustered. I took my daughter to Pier 39 today. We used to live nearby when she was little, so it brought back some memories. I agree with most of the reviews -- there are several really enthusiastic sales ladies, and to be honest, it can come off a bit pushy. The owner (I assume he's the tall guy with black hair in the store) seems to be really into micromanaging. Wow~ I guess that explains why the sales ladies are so full of passion. My daughter was immediately drawn to the super cute handmade soaps -- I have to admit, they are pretty impressive, especially the cupcake and ice cream-shaped ones. We didn't plan to buy anything at first. As locals, we know stores like this at Pier 39 often price their items above actual value. But we didn't want to disappoint the kid, so I told her she could pick just one. In the end... honestly, the price still shocked me. There were no price tags, and even though I asked about the price, the lady didn't give me a clear answer. The final price was $33.48 for an ice cream-shaped soap -- and that includes a mysterious $0.90 "admin fee" (what is that???). Is it affordable? Yes. Is it worth it? I'm not sure... But I guess: $23.48 for my daughter's happiness $2 for the sample we used in-store $8 for the product itself LOL. I understand that things tend to be more expensive in touristy areas, but I still hope for more transparent pricing in the future -- at least let people know what they're paying for. Happy bubbles was such a cute soap shop on Pier 39. When I visited, they had a new soap that had a lot of lemon sent to it. The sales person was so kind and warm and offered to let me sample items at their sink. The textures and the scents were pleasant and she even offered a sample for me to take. I didn't take the sample however because I'm not a big citrus person. There were so many cute little soaps, but because I wasn't in my home state , I didn't really have anywhere to enjoy the cute soaps. They were not going to last in my suitcase going theough the airport no matter how much cushion I used. They offered me a deal if I wanted to buy a certain amount because it was the end of the day and they just probably wanted to make their sales goal , completely understandable and actually a very nice offer. It was like three for $10 , normally it was two for $20. That's what she told me. As I browsed I was so relaxed in the bright and open shop. If I'm staying longer next time on my vacation , I will probably visit here again and take soap with me back to my hotel or give them to my family in the Bay Area. I saw this place on TikTok and wanted to come, but accidentally stumbled upon it in Fisherman's Wharf! I was so excited! From the outside of the store it looks so cute with light, pastel colors and loud pop music. You will come in to find it's a bath bomb, lotion, and hand soap store, kind of like Lush if you know what that is. It doesn't smell strong inside which I liked, and the bath stuff is nice but EXPENSIVE. Wow....I bought ONE small hand lotion bottle and it was $50. I think it's a cool place to check out and get a fun photo op in, but if you don't want to spend lots of money, maybe avoid it haha. read more

Walked past this store on a date night and was immediately drawn in by the beautiful presentation and my sweet tooth but we were even more delighted when we discovered the "treats" were bath bombs and soaps! Their prices are so high I don't think is worth it. As we were close to the exit she said I'll give you %50 percent off and a soap. I gave in since I thought it was an ok deal it was not she filled half the cup of bath salts did not let us choose and the free soaps don't look that great I paid $27 for a bit of salt. So the kids each picked the make your own bubble bath. It's a regular sized cup with some bath powder and a small soap. It came out to $50 a piece. I was shocked. I allow my mother in law to buy only one. I was convinced they make up the price depending on the situation since prices are not posted. Or maybe the worker kept the extra $. But another reviewer said they bought the same item for $50 too. So this store is just a rip off. Was greeted as I walked in. They have a little water sink so you can try about 10 different products. I asked for a recommendation since my daughter has eczema. Emily and Mary were both super friendly. They both recommended the products they use. I bought 3 items and was given a free hand soap. Just used all items with my daughter.
