Had my first massage in my life! Incredible!!!…read more I'll definitely return. Felt absolutely' loose' and free for the rest of the day!

This is tucked away in a quiet building. My therapist was very attentive and kind - but I think…read morethe description of the service I got needs to be updated as I don't believe I received everything in it as described. For our anniversary, my spouse gave me the 3 hour premier experience : " Premier Experience begins with a 30 minute foot soak with tea tree and peppermint salts while you sip on your choice of herbal tea and begin to feel the stresses of the outside world vanish. Next you'll enjoy a 90 minute massage session tailored especially for you that includes your choice of aromatherapy with essential oils blended to elevate your senses, hot stones and dry-skin brushing. Followed by a 30 minute collagen infused scalp and facial massage that will melt away stress and leave you feeling tranquil and peaceful. You will end your Premier Experience session with a 30 minute weighted-blanket-therapy post-session rest to include our eye pillow." First thing- the robe in my room did not fit. I literally felt like the hulk , as it was too tight on my shoulders and the robe would not close. If you are in a clothing size larger than a 1x (I wear 2-3x) I ****highly **** recommend wearing something that you can easily slip in and out of, as I had to get re-dressed to enjoy my tea and foot soak, and then get undressed again for my massage. Needless to say, I felt like I was getting a workout in - lol. The tea was provided in a beautiful way and I had many options. The massage was great and I was able to relax and finally think about nothing for once. However, I did not experience any "dry brushing" - only hot stones and my therapist's hands. As far as a the facial massage goes, really only my forehead and temples were rubbed. I'm not sure what part of the face is included, but I assumed my entire face. I would also say that the receptionist downstairs and the receptionist upstairs weren't very warm. The one upstairs seemed annoyed by me even though I didn't raise any complaints with my service. They both weren't very friendly. I was given the remainder of my aromatherapy and a bottle of water when leaving - which I thought was a nice touch. I wouldn't mind going back but I'm not sure if I'm in a rush to.

Stay away from this place!!! On February 2024 my husband…read moregave me a gift card for a massage. I had the massage and liked the therapist deep tissue technique . Against all my life experience of memberships I was naive enough to sign up for the monthly membership. The front desk team is trained to sell the membership and tells you every lie they can come up with to make you think that the membership is risk free. They assured me I could cancel anytime. When I tried to make my next appointment they told me it was the therapist last day. I had a couple of massages with other therapist and it was a waste of time and money. I tried to cancel the membership but the manager ( rotating door of staff) convinced me that she had hire 3 new therapists and that I would not have any issues booking appointments for deep tissue massages. I agree to stay. I found a therapist I like but she only works Monday-Wednesday 9 am to 3 pm. For us working people that is not convenient. She soon became booked and it was hard to schedule. I decided to cancel. I wrote a letter and hand delivered to the front desk. They took the letter but told me that I could not cancel with a written letter that I would have to cancel via a link the manager would email me. I received the link in May I canceled the membership. At that time I was told I had to make another payment because of their policy. I understood. By then I had 2-3 months worth of credits because they had canceled appointments at the last minute and then is hard to get an appointment with their one good therapist. I received a email survey to provide feedback of why I was leaving. I gave good feedback and let them know I was leaving due to financial reasons. The team and therapist were always nice to me so there was no reason to give poor feedback. I just didn't like having to take time off from work to see the good therapists. In my mind I had paid the last month and was free of this financial drain and stress. I never checked my bank to make sure the payments had stopped. Yesterday November 29, I received an email from Hand & Stone letting me know that my $79.85 monthly payment had been withdrawn. I had received emails from them before but I deleted thinking it was advertisement. I checked my bank account online and discovered that they never stopped taking my money after the membership was canceled in May. I am furious!!!! I called Hand & Stone, the young lady told me the manager would be in on Sunday 12/1 from 10am to 3 pm. I left a message to call me. Of course I didn't get a call. At 11 am I called and spoke with the same young lady. She said the manager wasn't there. I reminded her that she told me she would be there from 10 am to 3 pm, she said she came to work but stayed only for a second. I asked for a corporate number to speak with someone. She said they don't have a corporate number. It is obvious to me that this people are either incompetent or just simply unethical. Do yourself a favor, do not sign a membership ever with this people. You will only aggravate yourself. They say you will save money by signing up for the membership to received the discounted rate, however, when you check out, they ask for a tip for the therapist which it is understandable, however, on a separate tip iPod they change the fee from $79.95 to the " the market massage rate of $130.00" so you end up paying a higher 20% . The whole thing is built to screw people out of money. Stay away!

Therefore services were supposedly performed be graduates/professionals. The staff was polite, though I questioned the scheduling of my mani/pedi before my other services. SInce they would need to be very dry to do the facial/hand paraffin and massage. As it turns out the girl who did the mani/pedi did such a bad job it didn't much matter. She filed back and forth like a saw and then got the dark red polish all over my fingers and despite many attempts to clean it up, I still ended up with blotches of polish around my nails.(If I can I'll add a picture). The esthetician wasn't too bad though she had turned on the steam and then tripped over the machine. She ended up not using it at all (I assume she broke it since I stated that my main purpose for the facial was moisturizing.) I also said I used ultra gentle facial products and never alpha hydroxy... so I was surprised that she put alpha hydroxy on my face. When I got to the massage it made some sense since confused me with the friend came with that day, and it turned out they had mixed our charts. The massage room was cold, the music was loud and and the treatment was fast and jerky- not the swedish relaxing massage I had asked for. Going with the Spa at CTS saved us $20 over our second choice. When you're shelling out $175 to $200 plus tips the $20 isn't worth the total lack of quality. I warn customers as well as people considering being students if this is what the graduate.

I have a lot of muscle tension in my lower back and issues with my shoulders and the massage therapists paid special attention to those areas to ensure the maximum physiological benefit. The prices were the best part. The 1 hour student massage was $25, and the one hour graduate massages were $35. There is a calming feel in the waiting room and the therapist arrives quickly to take you back to the well-appointed massage room. The heated massage tables and hot towels start working before you feel the oiled hands on the skin and muscles. I'm a huge fan of a good massage and I plan to make regular appointments here because the price is low enough that I can indulge more frequently than I probably need to. My last two massages were by Brandon who is well studied and passionate about the kinesiological attributes of massage therapy. Great service at a great price make me a repeat customer.
