Finally got to try the banana pudding at hapa bakery. The banana pudding is good but a bit too sweet for me and Im a sweet person. I can only eat a few spoons at a time, which might be a good thing, it stops me from smashing the entire container. I do want to try thr chocolate or whatever flavor they have next time.

Love this place. Cookies are so yummy not dry not too sweet. Banana pudding yummy. Have a lot of seating to enjoy their goodies and do people watching at Downtown Brea. Very pleasant store clerk.

Wonderful bakery in Brea! They have fantastic cupcakes, cookies and various puddings. They even have dog cupcakes! When we visited, the service was great and the bakery itself is clean and comfortable. Hapa Bakery is an easy recommendation! It is amazing!

Nice staff and cute bakery. We tried their banana pudding, chocolate pudding, strawberry champagne and chocolate whiskey cupcakes. All were yummy but the cupcakes, which seemed slightly dry and crumbly. The chocolate whiskey cupcake was bitter. Everything else was very good though.

Stopped in with my wife and tried the lemon cream frosted cookie, the sprinkle sugar cookie, and the banana pudding. Everything was really good. The lemon cookie was soft with a fresh lemon flavor that wasn't overly sweet. The sprinkle sugar cookie was exactly what you want from a classic sugar cookie, soft, buttery, and just plain good. The banana pudding was probably my favorite. Super creamy, great banana flavor, and tasted like something homemade. The shop itself was clean, bright, and had a fun vibe. Staff was friendly, service was quick, and everything looked as good as it tasted. Definitely coming back.

I don't know if they've gotten better or my tastebuds have changed lol but I decided to give this place another chance, and have been back here a few times now. My kid also changed his mind because he also loves coming here now lol. Today I tried the salted caramel which was the best one I've tried here so far. Service was friendly once again, and the place is very clean inside.

I was walking down Birch Street back to my car after visiting a local business when I came upon a "Try our world famous banana pudding" sign on the sidewalk. I love anything banana so it definitely caught my eye. I decided to walk into Hapa Bakery to check it out. The shop is fairly small, is very clean, and all walls are decorated nicely. There are four two seat tables, two inside and two out front. There is a refrigerated display case that holds their banana, nutella banana, and chocolate brownie puddings, along with a few other items. Two other counters display mouthwatering cookies, brownies, and cupcakes. The staff member was very friendly, and I mentioned that the sign out front lured me in to the shop, as I'm sure it does many others. I bought a container of banana pudding to take home, and managed to resist the urge to buy some of their other delicious looking goodies. I tried it the same evening, and it was truly heavenly. It is creamy and so flavorful, and is loaded with slices of banana and wafer cookies that are so soft and just melt. It is a good sized container, I'm guessing around 16 ounces, and is reasonably priced at just under $9. I try to limit my intake of sweets, but I will definitely be back to indulge here periodically.

The limited time carrot cake banana pudding was FIRE. So good. I would definitely come back to this place. There's a parking lot on the World Market side of the plaza and you can just walk through to the other side. Way better than street parking.

Got the banana pudding because my friend absolutely adores it. I was not disappointed. It's a cute little shop, and the workers were kind. The pudding itself was so light and airy, and when you get that scoop with a piece of banana and a piece of bread. Wow. Such a nice light dessert to share with some friends... or by yourself, I'm not judging. Gotta come back to try the cookie butter or nutella version of the banana pudding!

Fantastic bakery! The person that helped us was very helpful and sweet. We got a chocolate on chocolate cupcake, a snickerdoodle cookie, chocolate chip cookie, and vanilla cupcake. Everything was so moist and not at all dry or overly sweet. The shop is super cute and chill. I definitely want to come back to try their banana pudding.

This place is cute. They have some beautiful and tasty looking treats. They even have cute little snow globe cookies for the holidays. But I didn't try any of them. Honestly, just get the banana pudding...you're welcome.

Nice clean little place. Everything is nicely displayed which makes it hard to decide what to buy since it's all looks so good. The girl at the register quiet. But not rude.

I've been meaning to try Hapa ever since before this location opened and finally tried it when they were running a deal on the banana pudding. The cookie butter one is phenomenal! A bit pricey but would be worth the splurge if I'm in the area. Would also love to try their cookies and cupcakes

They sell cookies, coffees, and cupcakes. The cupcakes are not gigantic but are "classic" sized, like normal people eat. There are a variety of flavors to choose from and I decided on two to take home - lemon and churro. I then decided to sit and hang out for a while, so also ordered a chocolate chip cookie and a hot vanilla latte. The young woman working was delightful and provided excellent customer service. The cookie was large and delicious. A plethora of chocolate chips was stuffed into this soft cookie. It went well with my latte, which was satisfactory. The most vibrant flavors were the frostings on both cupcakes. The cakes themselves were fresh & moist. The lemon cake was light in flavor while the frosting was boldly lemony and rich with sweet cream cheese. The frosting on my other cupcake tasted just like a churro and the light cinnamon cake beneath made this my favorite.

Whether it's a birthday celebration, Thanksgiving, July 4th festivities, or just because, Nothing Bundt Cakes always delivers! We also LOVE giving these cakes as gifts. On this particular visit, we came in to pick up about 12 individual Bundt cakes for my husband's nurses, and Jaxon was absolutely wonderful! He was so helpful, friendly, and had a great smile. Great customer service + yummy cakes = a winning combination! Thank you, Jaxon, for making our visit so easy and enjoyable. We can't wait to come back!

Earlier this year, I attended a community event in the City of Lakewood where Nothing Bundt Cakes…read moremade an appearance. The Lakewood location had just opened a couple months prior, and they were giving attendees a chance to win prizes, which included a couple of coupons for a free bundtlet at the Lakewood location plus four others. This location in Brea just happens to be one of the four others. I could have stayed close to home and redeemed the free bundtlet coupon there, but I figured this would give me an opportunity to go out of my way to try a different Nothing Bundt Cakes instead. I hadn't been to Brea before and used this as an opportunity to visit the North Orange County city on a Wednesday afternoon. This Nothing Bundt Cakes is in Brea Town Center on the southwest corner of Imperial and Randolph. For whatever reason, I wasn't paying close attention to the exact location the first time around and had initially discerned the location to be within the Brea Mall area. Not quite Brea Mall, but close enough? lol I came after 5 PM, and the shop looked closed even though they're open until 7 PM on days not named Sunday. They have a few 20 minute parking spots in front of the shop, but none were occupied, hence another reason why I almost thought the shop was closed. When I entered, I saw a male employee surreptitiously positioned behind the counter almost as if to give the impression that he was trying to hide from the customers. It was perhaps a foreshadowing of his customer service towards me, which I'd describe as indifferent for the most part as it seemed like I was just another number to him. I showed him the free bundtlet coupon, and then he told me I could pick any of the flavors on the bottom of the refrigerated display case or the seasonal Pumpkin Spice flavor. I was a little surprised Pumpkin Spice was still on their menu because I came on a day after their Biscoff Cookie Butter flavor left the menu, but before the Reese's Oreo flavor came on the menu. I asked if there was another seasonal flavor besides the two mentioned in the previous sentence, but it was just the Pumpkin Spice that was for a limited time. I had tried the Pumpkin Spice flavor at the Downey location and honestly could have cared less about it, so I didn't want to get it again. I did notice, however, they had two Gluten-Free flavors: Chocolate Chip Cookie and Lemon Raspberry. Normal bundtlets cost $6.50 at this location, but a Gluten-Free bundtlet would be $1 more. However, the free bundtlet coupon would cover the upcharge for Gluten-Free, hence why I wanted a Gluten-Free flavor. I chose the Chocolate Chip Cookie on this visit. I don't think it'd be fair for me to say he was the worst Nothing Bundt Cakes employee ever, but his vapid and dreary personality was quite the buzzkill on my visit. He didn't offer me utensils or napkins, but at least he offered me a paper bag while meticulously placing a Nothing Bundt Cakes sticker over the bag, which held my complimentary Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookie bundtlet. I asked him how long the cake would last both on the counter and in the fridge. He responded 2 days for the former, but 5 days for the latter. I put the bundtlet in the fridge immediately after I got home, and I started to eat it the following day. I found the bundtlet kind of hard to cut, and I also noticed that the frosting had detached from the cake quite easily, causing a mess after cutting the bundtlet. Luckily for me, the frosting didn't fall on the floor, and it went well with the chocolate chips inside my bundtlet. If you love chocolate chip cookies (who doesn't?), you'll definitely enjoy Nothing Bundt Cakes' version in the form of a bundt cake! And gluten-free too? Even better for those with Celiac! I saved the other half for the next day, which was two days after my visit. The cake felt a little firmer than the day before, and the frosting seemed to have lost some flavor that day. But overall, not too bad. I do wonder, however, how much less I would have enjoyed the bundtlet had I started eating it a day or two later than I actually did. It's an alright Nothing Bundt Cakes to go to, but I wouldn't make a return visit, even to use my other Free Bundtlet coupon. However, if you live in Brea and need to order a birthday cake for that special someone in your life, this would be a good choice.

My family has been ordering marble cakes from Beverly's for the past five years, so this experience…read morewas especially disappointing. When I placed my order for an 8-inch, four-layer marble cake, I requested our usual combination of fudge and Bavarian cream fillings. The employee insisted they no longer allow two different fillings in one cake. I questioned this several times, even offering to pay extra, but was repeatedly told it wasn't possible. For the decoration, I requested vanilla buttercream, no fondant, "Happy Spooky Season" written on top, and a few simple Halloween accents, such as pumpkins or spiderwebs. I left the smaller decorative details up to them. When I arrived, the entire cake was covered in dark purple frosting. I'll acknowledge that I hadn't explicitly requested white frosting, but I certainly wasn't expecting the entire cake to be purple. My family and I strongly dislike heavily colored frosting because we can taste the food coloring. I had intended to leave the bakery some freedom with the decorative accents, not necessarily the entire color scheme. Since the bakery was closing, they couldn't redo the frosting, which I understood. I explained that I was taking the cake all the way back to the Bay Area and asked for some plain white buttercream so I could fix it myself at home. The employee provided four small condiment-sized containers of frosting. When I asked whether I could have a little more, she insisted that the amount would be enough. To be fair, after removing the purple frosting and refrosting the cake myself, the four containers did turn out to be just enough. I want to acknowledge that she was correct about the quantity. However, I still found the interaction frustrating, especially because I was already taking on the work of correcting the cake myself and had simply requested a little extra frosting for reassurance. Another disappointing issue was the packaging. The cake was too tall for the box, so the top of the box had been cut away, leaving the cake completely exposed. When I expressed concern and asked for a way to cover it, plastic wrap was placed directly over the decorated frosting. I was surprised that an established custom bakery didn't have a more suitable way to package a tall cake. Even for a normal car ride, I would expect a cake to be properly enclosed and protected. To make matters worse, I noticed they were selling slices of marble cake with both fudge and Bavarian cream fillings--the exact combination I had requested! When I asked about it, the employee initially said it wasn't possible, then eventually acknowledged that the combination could be ordered, but that I needed to know whom to speak with. How is a customer supposed to know which employee can correctly explain the bakery's own options? I also want to be fair about the cake itself. Once we finally cut into it, the cake tasted good, and the fudge filling was generous. My disappointment wasn't that the bakery made a bad-tasting cake. It was the overall experience of ordering, picking it up, and having to fix the appearance myself. This wasn't simply a misunderstanding about frosting color. It was a series of frustrating interactions, inconsistent information, and disappointing customer service. My sister, who previously handled most of our family's orders, has also mentioned having problems with the ordering process. After years of being customers, I expected better communication, more thoughtful packaging, and a more helpful response when something went wrong. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reluctant to order from Beverly's again.

It looks clean and spacious enough for a small scale tea shop. There are a-la-carte menu items (pastries, tea) and an afternoon tea menu. Price: $45 for the Royal Tea Experience package which is extremely reasonable considering what you get. There is a 90 mins max for each tea experience. They are pretty booked from what I saw. Food: For the Royal Tea Experience, each of us got: tea of choice, 5 tea sandwiches (Cucumber Dill Cream cheese, Chicken Salad, Egg Salad, Cranberry Turkey pinwheel, Roast Beed Arugula), 2 scones (Vanilla and Strawberry), Cream, Strawberry preserve, berries and some grapes, 3 desserts (mini muffin, Chocolate brownie, some kind of mini cake). The tea pots were a lot smaller than other places I've been to (probably enough for 1.5 cups of tea if filled to the rim). I love the heart-shaped sugar cubes, the size is just enough for a half teaspoon of sugar. They didn't have any milk for the tea set up like other places I've been to. I love the roast beef sandwich balanced flavor; the chicken one is really bland, a dash of curry powder would enhance the flavor more in my opinion; the cucumber needs to be sliced thinner as these slices are rather chunky; the scones are fine - I usually prefer my scones warm but only 1 place I know that serve it that way. The tea selection is decent, I went for Jasmine Rose. I feel that the scent and tea flavor was rather weak. There was barely any scent of each so it didn't leave a big impression on me. I want to try other ones in the future for sure. The staff was super nice to offer an extra tea bag if the flavor is too weak so I went for another bag. Service: Excellent! They were fast, courteous, and friendly. 2 staff made their rounds frequently to check on us and made sure we had enough hot water in our tea pots . Parking: This is where I docked up a star. The parking lot is shared with many businesses in the same strip mall. I came here at 10 AM on a Saturday and the whole parking lot was filled, there was no spot for me to park. My friend had to park all the way on the other side of the mall and I managed to find some parking in the back (side street). Avoid lunch time at all cost, there were cars waiting around as they couldn't find any parking. After the tea experience, we went somewhere else and upon coming back around 3 PM, half the parking lot is empty. If I would give anyone a tip on the parking time, it seems to be ideal around this time.
