Instead of acknowledging any responsibility or offering an apology for the delay and the confusion caused by the rude and unprofessional valet situation, I was spoken to as if I were in the wrong, despite the issue originating from their end. And honestly I wouldn't even give them a 1 star if it didn't make me!! read more

This property has a widespread mold problem from water damage. The management is very, very well aware of this problem and they have not had the courtesy to inform ALL of the tenants. If you are genetically susceptible to mold/biotoxin/mycotoxin exposure, you are going to have very serious autoimmune issues living in this building. I know for a fact that there is going to be a class action lawsuit filed against The Hanover Company and I know for a fact that multiple individual tenants have had their units inspected by licensed mold inspectors and the results have indicated extreme mold exposure. I also know for a fact that management has been provided copies of the inspections. The building is known within the licensed mold inspector space to be a mold/mycotoxin disaster and there are local apartment leasing professionals that know about this as well. If you live here, you need to have your unit inspected by your own inspector and do not use anyone that management suggests. If you are considering leasing a unit, make sure to have your unit inspected before signing a lease. Also stay clear of the common indoor areas. The entire building should be vacated and the entire building needs to be professionally reviewed, tested, and remediated by a licensed mold inspector/remediator. I'm now going on my third year as a resident of Hanover Post Oak, located in the Houston Galleria area. Yes, it has taken me three years to leave a review finally. Part of it was my own selfish reasons as I didn't want this hidden treasure to get overrun by the typical Houston luxury highrise tenants. Those of you that have lived in Houston highrises know precisely what I'm talking about. I like that it is quiet here. I like that majority of residents that live here are older business professionals. I like that I can go to the swimming pool here on a Saturday to relax and not have to see a lot of drunk people that don't live here. Hanover couldn't be a better fit for everything I'm looking for in a luxury condo that fits my current situation in life. So after 3 years, I finally had to leave this place a review and put my selfish reasons away. The main reason for finally leaving this review now is the management staff, in particular, Nicole Hart, the assistant property manager. She has been absolutely amazing and has always taken good care of me. From the initial signing of my lease three years ago to renewing my contract annually, and even reassuring all of us during this Coronavirus pandemic. Michelle, the property manager, has also been nothing but exceptional in any of my dealings with her as well. Along with the rest of her team, including Ali in the office leasing staff, the entire staff of valet, concierge, and maintenance team. The amenities at Hanover Post Oak include 24/7 concierge and valet service, a high-tech fitness center, as well as an 8th-floor rooftop style pool with cabanas and a view of the Galleria area. Other standard amenities include a dog park with a pet washing station, dry-cleaning service, business centers with Apple iMacs, a private screening room, a resident lounge, and dining area. Hanover Post Oak is located around 7 miles west of Downtown (15-minute drive). It sits near the intersection of Post Oak Boulevard and San Felipe, in the heart of Houston's Uptown District. Uptown (more commonly called The Galleria Area), is the most cosmopolitan neighborhood in Houston centered around the Galleria Mall, which is home to 400+ retailers, & 50 restaurants. The Galleria Mall is the largest mall in Texas and seventh-largest in the United States. Hanover Post Oak is also situated within walking distance to many different shops, upscale amenities, & restaurants. BLVD Place, which is a 20-acre mixed-use development, is located directly across the street from us. The Original Ninfa's on Navigation (Downtown) is the crown jewel of the Houston Tex-Mex scene -- sometimes even credited as a catalyst for the fajita craze that took over America. For entertainment, Rooftop Cinema At BLVD Place recently opened as Houston's first rooftop theater. The unique open-air venue offers sunset screenings of recent releases and cult classics, food, craft cocktails, and cozy seating. The movies are shown on a giant rooftop screen with state-of-the-art HD projectors. Finally, my favorite Whole Foods is also located across the street in BLVD Place. At 55,000 square feet, this flagship is the second-largest Whole Foods in Houston, just behind the Sugar Land location. It is also home to the first brewery ever located inside a grocery store. Known as the Whole Foods Market Brewing Co., it features a rotating assortment of four to eight beers brewed onsite that serve a variety of styles. I have been a resident for two years here and since they changed the managers you can see the changes in the building. Elevators work properly, there is more security in the parking lot, the palm trees are being installed, there are no supermarket carts in the corridors, etc. I think Jhoseline and Evelyn have done an amazing job. But even herself, is one of the managers who ignored my request. My three precious shirts have been missing over 2 weeks until now! I replied her : "I know you, and even you, ignored my request too. My Email for this missing laundry issue to you and Taylor was on 12/22/2018, 2:23PM. Until now, 1/5/2019, no one replied me even a word! However, during my trip out of the US between 12/23 and 1/1, none of the manager followed my request! I never got any feedback! I've to contact Tide company for my three precious missing shirts again, by myself. Could you image how many things could happen during those 10 more days? I left this thing to you, because you are my last hope for my precious clothes, but what did you do? As supervisors, why didn't you contact Tide company as the memo I've written to you? I attached the picture of my memo to Taylor and you, so even the memo was missing, you still have all the information you need to do this job. Why didn't you follow the request of your residents? Why did you just leave the problem there and do nothing? You could check your Email now and see the pictures of the memo I had left to you, on which you could have all the information. The entire staff is really amazing and the fellow neighbors are nice however Hanover has failed to increase security or advise us of the vehicle break ins that have occurred over the last two weeks. This building has been hit TWICE that a few of us tenets know about! Don't leave anything in your vehicle!! Hanover really needs to step it up and hire a full time armed guard that ACTUALLY PATROLS the entire garage all night!! We don't pay 4K or more a month to worry about our luxury vehicles being destroyed. Just look at the photos!! Property is great, location is great, amenities are great, concierge is great - management is HORRENDOUS. I mean talk about the biggest group of incompetent people all working together in one place and that's who you're dealing with in the leasing office. They're all completely rude and wouldn't recognize good customer service if it slapped them in the face. The ladies seem to forget that they work there, not that they own the building. They also pretend to forget conversations they've had with you as it suits them. Our car was broken into the first week and they actually had the audacity to hint that it was our fault for possibly leaving something in the car along with the statement "well criminals target high profile properties". Well maybe this high profile property should spent a little more on better cameras or security?? As most places , they're great at luring you in with the sweet talk. Just be aware as soon as you sign those papers you're dealing with a bunch of snobby , arrogant, and lazy workers. I was literally counting down the days till we could move out. With so many nice high rises around the galleria area now, there's no reason to deal with these people for the amount of money you're paying. read more

Terrible management! We paid $2300/ month for a 800 sq/ft room in hanover post oak. And our car been scratched in the garage by a white car on 4/25 or 4/26.i reported this to the front desk at 4/26 around 8pm (no camera in garage). Front desk is really nice, he recorded all the things i said, and told me will report it to manager next day morning. However, it already been more than one week, NONE ONE contacted us about this problem !! I call today to ask whats going on. The valets already know me by name, the concierges I've met have been extremely professional and attentive, and the other residents I've met all have been very welcoming and have had nothing but good things to say. Really great place to stay for more than 2 days. Full kitchen with stove, dishwasher, microwave, full size fridge. Not to mention washer and drier right there as well. Very modern design and great view. Parking not a problem and you can easily walk to dozen of restaurants and shops, plus whole foods is right down the street. I just moved into my apartment at Hanover Post Oak last week. From day one the staff has been nothing but warm and welcoming. I've really felt like I've been given the best VIP customer service. When I arrived I was greeted by Ali and Michele. Ali took the time to walk me to my apartment and show me the mail room, loading dock, and several important things I'll be needing as a resident. I wanted to give my BIGGEST thank you to Syed with the valet. My mother has been helping me with my move while I'm at work. Today, Syed not only brought her a bell cart, but helped her unload the car and bring a bunch of stuff up to my apartment. He even took it a step further and brought her car downstairs until she was done putting everything away. My mom is sometimes nervous in a new place, but Syed took away her worries and made himself available. The staff at Hanover Post Oak will not only treat you like family, but they will treat YOUR family like family. Don't waste your time or money. This is the biggest joke of an apartment that I've ever lived at. It's been nothing but problems since I moved in last year. The office staff is the most incompetent group of women that I've ever met, especially the leasing agent with the overfilled lips. No one in the office communicates with each other and the residents suffer for it. The leasing agents dress like street walkers. If you think they have great specials now it's because they do, for now, until your lease is up, and they don't offer any specials to keep residents. Instead they raise your rent and offer your same apartment with 2-3 months free. I guess the management really doesn't care about resident retention and are just there to make a buck. By the way almost all the major high rises are running a great special so don't let them fool you. The special they are running at Hanover Post Oak is because they're desperate for leases. There are constant issues with the property itself, that management takes zero effort to fix in a hurry. Leaking pipes, amenities that are never working and a huge lack of customer service when it comes to maintenance requests. Not to mention the valet staff who acts like it's a huge inconvenience every time you pull up. They roll their eyes whenever they actually have to do some work. Most of them have no idea if you are a resident or a guest and when you pull up, you are greeted with a "what are you doing here?" If you have any bags from shopping or groceries and need a cart to help you up, forget about asking the valet to help. They make you walk inside and wait for the concierge to find the one cart they have for the whole building, while they just stand there doing nothing (which is what they prefer to do instead of work). The building use to have great people working here when I first moved in a year ago, but I guess ownership only likes to hire people who have no business in property management. It's a shame because the building is nice, but not worth the hassle or the money. You can go anywhere else in Houston for a great special and nice apartment and not have to deal with the incompetent, lazy, useless and unqualified staff of this building. read more

Building Maintenance is exceptional. The grounds are always kept sparkly clean and in working order. If there is ever a problem, question or request with any aspect of my unit I simply submit the request online and it is taken care of the next day if not the same day. I also often mention any issues in person to maintenance staff and they will let me know when they can come by to address them. On top of that they are very friendly and we'll mannered, another great branch of the Hanover team! read more

Whenever I have a client who wants to live in a high rise in the Galleria area, one of the places I always suggest is the Hanover Post Oak. My favorite part is that it is located right in the middle of the Galleria area with plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance or a short drive. I had the pleasure of working with Taylor and Rachael, a couple of the leasing agents in the office. They were welcoming, personable, and very helpful with suggesting different unit options that suited my client's needs. They walked my client (a new renter) through the whole process. I organized an event at Hanover Post Oak and can I just say how very lovely every detail was. Michelle was a gem and helped us get all of our ducks in a row with valet, a storage space and the electronic keys. Our guests are still commenting on how gorgeous this space is- we didn't have to do an ounce of decorating! We had about 150 in attendance and the 8th floor had more than enough space for all of us. I find that at a lot of places with that many people it can be quite warm but they cranked the ac and we were very comfortable. All-in-all it was a great event and we would be very happy to have another event here. read more
