Poor communication with front desk staff. Quotes are never checked with insurance then they charge extra also records keeping is an issue they don't know what was performed for last visit. Dental work is very horrible (poor quality) I went for a cleaning with no complaints of my teeth or gums, but then after the visit, my upper teeth were hurting and they did not have any open date to see me. The dentist didn't talk to me at all. Didn't provide any feedback or follow up or any care instructions.. it was the worst. He just came in told me to open my mouth poked around and walked out.. I was given a few words from the assistant and then presented with a treatment plan and costs. After I complete these treatments I am looking for a new dentist. I had a really nice experience here. To start, the receptionists (Berenice and Ivonne) were incredibly nice and helpful. I had a list of questions after my appointment, and they enthusiastically answered and took the time to explain everything to me. It's always refreshing encountering nice receptionists who are willing to help! :) The dental assistant - Liz - was SO SWEET! Seriously...one of the best I've encountered. She was so gentle, nice, and informative. I felt really comfortable and well-taken care of. I had Dr. Mamsa, who was nice. He went straight into cleaning and he knew what he was doing. The only reason I'm giving a 4/5 rating is because I wish I was able to discuss my teeth a little more with the dentist. Dr. Mamsa wasn't feeling well, so he left immediately after cleaning my teeth. It was quickly recommended to me that I needed expensive (and not covered by insurance) periodontal cleaning. I was suspicious, as I have gotten routine cleanings every six months for my entire life, brush twice daily, and do not have any dental issues. The dentist hurriedly completed my initial visit, and didn't clearly explain why he felt the periodontal cleaning was needed. He then sent in Nancy the Office Manager in order to explain the financial arrangements. She offered a considerable discount, with no explanation as to why, which was another alarm bell that they were trying to push me into an unnecessary procedure. (A profit of $500 (the quoted cost to me) is less than the "real" quoted price of $1200 but certainly better than zero if I chose not to do it). I went to a second dentist this week to get a second opinion. He examined the same x-rays that they took and said that the bones of my teeth were "textbook" perfection and he wouldn't recommend periodontal cleaning procedure at this time, though he did not some additional build-up, that he took care of during a basic cleaning. I will not return to Hanover Dental and will warn others of their shoddy practices. read more

The dentist is a great lady. She really understands a patient and their needs. I too am a nervous and anxious patient (childhood phobia) and she really worked overtime to keep me at easy. They're under new management and the new lady seems to be a piece of work. She told me if I came back, that I'd be seeing a lot more of her, so I may want to look for another dentist. First of all, this place is super dirty and dusty. I'm a new patient and made an appointment to get some cavities filled. I had my previous dentist email them my X-rays and they told me that they would definitely be able to get my cavities filled and a cleaning done in the same day. I leave work early (my appointment was for 2pm), show up and they tell me the manager said I can't get any of my cavities filled and if I want a cleaning I need to pay out of pocket. THIS IS THE KIND OF CARE THAT YOU CAN GET AT HANOVER DENTAL....GOOD LUCK, YOU WILL NEED IT... Because of our insurance and driving distance, we had to go to Hanover Dental for my wire's gum surgery. We went to the first dental appointment, & it was decided to have the appointment at another date. The cost of the procedure was going to be $2057.80. The paper that they showed me with the cost on it, and I signed it. At Hanover Dental, I was not allowed to stay in the room with my wife, be "because things might fly out and we don't want to be responsible." When my wife was done, I was presented with a bill that had an $745.20 OVER CHARGE. I could hear my wife talking to the person at the desk, asking for a follow up appointment. I was hoping that my wife could get the follow up care figured out, while I was trying to understand the OVER CHARGE, & pay the bill. Just a side note. If you make an agreement with someone & that someone tries to change the agreement after the whole thing is done, its called fraud, or deceptive practices. The scripts, an antibiotic, and a special mouth rinse, When my wife had bad pain the next day, I called and asked why. Why were we given no follow up care, instructions, and appointment? The only thing we walked away with was that she should eat soft food. Later, I thought, what is soft food? How long should she eat soft food? When I called, at least I got some idea of what soft food was. I also found out that the special mouth rinse was NOT SUPPOSED TO BE USED ON THE FIRST DAY OF SURGERY. THOSE INSTRUCTIONS WERE NOT ON THE BOTTLE. I WAS TOLD THAT SOMEONE WOULD CALL ME THE FOLLOWING MONDAY. The surgery was on Friday, and I called on Saturday, so we had to wait till Monday to find out the info that we should have been given on Friday. Monday comes.... no phone call. On Thursday, after one one called, I got in my car and drove there. I figured calling again, was just a continued waste of time. I was worried about my wife's stitches, because they were sticking out and looking like it or they were not normal. When I got there, I asked for the manager, which was Nancy. I started to tell Nancy about all our problems, and the poor care we were given. She said that she wanted to talk in her office. She also said, that there were other patients in the waiting room. I started to talk about the poor care and being over charged. She said again, lets go into my office so that the other patients don't hear us. I said no, I want the other patients to hear us. I wanted them to know, what they might be facing. Reluctantly we went into her office. Nancy said sorry, it should not of happened. She said that she usually does the follow up, and makes sure that the follow up dates are given, BUT she left the office just before my wife was done with her surgery. Nancy said that someone should of taken over and given us the info. I asked a couple of times, what are the problems with using the special mouth rinse, right after surgery, and not waiting a day, like we were supposed to wait? Nancy never said what the possible problems might be. I told Nancy about the stitches that were coming out. Nancy said they are dissolving stitches, and not to worry. (A PIECE OF INFORMATION THAT WOULD OF BEEN NICE TO HAVE....AND SHOULD OF BEEN GIVEN, AT SOME POINT, BEFORE WE LEFT SURGERY). Nancy told me to call the next day for a follow up appointment. I mentioned that if we were given a follow up date on the day of the surgery, we wouldn't have this problem. Nancy also said that I was correct and was over charged the $745.20. She called someone to try & find out, who is the person that is supposed to call the next day to follow up on the surgery. From what I could tell, she couldn't get that info. Nancy said that someone would be calling me, either today or the next day. Today is the next day....how surprising NO ONE CALLED. I called the office to try and get an appointment and talked to someone named Joaquin. I asked for Nancy, Joaquin said she is not there now. I asked for an appointment for my wife. He asked for my wife's name and I gave it to him...a few times. He kept asking why do you want an appointment? I said, don't you see my wife's records, its a follow up to surgery. He then asked, why was I getting aggravated and raising my voice? I said I will tell you why, and started to tell him about the horrible care that we were getting..Then, I asked Joaquin for the corporate phone number. Joaquin said he doesn't give out phone numbers. Joaquin hung up on me... Called the corp office Address. (630) 596-5018. I called and got someone in the accounting dept. I asked for Niki Robinson. I was told that no one was there. I asked how to spell his name, and he said call back on Monday, and hung up on me. It must be part of corp. training to hang up on patients. I was told by a dentist last year that I had 11 cavities, so I was terrified going into Hanover Dental. I'm a scared and nervous patient when I know needles and pain are involved. Turns out I had zero cavities, but I did need to get numbed up so the doctor could clean under my gum between two teeth. I have finally found a dentist that makes me feel at ease. She is kind and patient and understanding of my gag reflex when I am laid down for any procedure. I am going back for a crown to be put in and I am very confident that Dr. Lina Yaseen will make the procedure as painless as possible. The office staff lead by Nancy Ferrante are both cordial and professional. As I was there for a follow up visit I watched as a 5 year old boy go back for his visit and did not hear a sound come from him as he was being examined. I will never come here again. I scheduled an appointment with Dr.Roshini for January 9, 2017 at 11am, for a routine cleaning and gum pain. I was escorted to the back fairly quickly, which was a pleasant surprise being the dentist! I got an x-ray, the dentist checked my tooth, but before the dentist began my cleaning he stated that my insurance didn't cover the cost for cleaning, and it would be 50 to proceed. Now, mind you, I already clarified with my insurance and my insurance company recommended the facility because it was located 10 minutes from my home. As I explained this to the dentist, he told me I was wrong and repeated the cost for he cleaning with a voice of sarcasm.... I contacted my insurance again from the car and they called the dentist on a third call to confirm what I said, the receptionist stated I could reschedule. I told her no, I'm in the parking lot I can just come back in. Now mind it's 11:45 and, then 12:20 I finally get called to the back, the dentist jokes about seeing me again, and vaguely says my insurance must have changed.(I'm assuming now because my insurance company called and verified with receptionist that I was all set) The dental assistant places my "bib" around me, and the dentist tells me he will return in a few minutes to start. 10 minutes pass, and the dentist returns and ask me "what number did you call to contact your insurance"? I tell him the number on the back of my card. He then says "how did you get through so fast, because I have been waiting for quiet a while". But with sarcasm and as if I was telling a lie. I just repeat that I got the number off the card. He says, "well I don't want you to get billed for this if it doesn't cover your insurance" I'm just thinking now wtf is this dentist talking about??? Didn't my insurance already confirm? why is he calling again ????. (guess he could tell by now I was getting a bit upset). After still waiting, I see it's now 1:10, and I get up throw off the "bib" and head to the receptionist desk to get my insurance card. As soon as I stepped out the receptionist informed me I was fine with my coverage. I told her I didn't need the service and I left. When I get to my vehicle my fiance told me the dentist came out to he lobby and ask the receptionist did she actually speak to my insurance company and implied again that I was lying. This dentist discriminated against me because of the type of insurance I had, and I am Black. He was rude about the situation, and his professionalism did not exist. Now, I don't understand why my insurance information wasn't checked prior to my arrival, and for the dentist to show no sincerity for his mistake, and his office, only showed arrogance. I waited there for 2 hours, watch him call 2 additional patients, and watch 8 d.a. walk through bored. Hands down this is the worst place ever! I would not recommend my worst enemy to go here. I went in for a simple mandibular 2nd molar tooth extraction, and the worst tooth ache ever and walked out the same way. Talk about being ticked off! If you have a medical card and you need a simple tooth extraction beware! You will receive an oral exam, x-rays of the tooth that's causing you pain, and a referral to another dentist. If in any way you have a child apprehensive about going to the dentist I recommend going somewhere else. I took my son to be seen, my son was a little nervous and of course this dentist only made it worst! The dentist that took care of him had absolutey no patience! as soon as she saw his tears rolling down (he was calm too) she rudely pulled her chair away from him and quickly step away from the room without excusing herself and seen easily fraustrated, she did this 2 times. I guess that was her way of showing how impatience she is with children, she could've calm him down, by calmly talking to him, showing him the basic dental instruments or AT LEAST get to know him before hand! but no she did the whole opposite and of course this made him more nervous. It made it seem as if we were wasting her time.
