I've been terrified of the dentist since a traumatic childhood experience, and it's kept me from taking care of my dental health. Even in my 30s, I still carried that fear and embarrassment until today. Dr. Martin is truly a godsend. She and her staff Ashley and Kam were absolute angels. From the moment I walked in, the front desk team was welcoming, kind, and reassuring. In the chair, Dr. Martin showed such compassion and patience that I've never experienced at any dentist before. Her bedside manner is incredible. You can feel her genuine passion for her work and her care for her patients. I was especially nervous about the needle, since it has always been a huge fear for me. But I honestly didn't feel a thing. I was blown away. For the first time in my life, I left a dental appointment not in tears of fear, but tears of relief and gratitude. Beginning with awareness of mouth particularly gums sensitivity. Most people understand this as they get Their teeth cleanings; like me 2X per year. Recently w Covid, dental personnel being affected w some turmoil in the industry-I couldn't find a decent dentist office that offered professional cleanings. Until last10 years my hygienist was whom I saw for cleanings, dentists themselves do a quick look see. Some dentists do them. Point is very important part of my mouth, teeth, gum health! A larger older filling was ready be replaced w a crown I initiated cause the size, mercury fills in it. Crown placement quality was maybe a "D " rating; Not this office making point took several office visits so it wasn't digging into my mouth causing pain hard to eat! I've never had such a painful cleaning as from this girl in EF office. She took a full mouth Xray ok; then raced thru the gum check stab the gum see what shape it's in. That Hurts. Than gets into cleaning was her race against time what she really didn't want to do . I have a small mouth. Seemed go from decent to mean nano second. My mouth 2 weeks later still sore. Remember I was2 months overdue for 6 mo which much better than your average client! -reason cause Bad Dental experiences the last 4 times during Covid.( Hygienic reason?) Yes a fill needed be replaced didn't get done because I like have a cleaning in dental practice before their allowed drilling in my mouth, gums ; see about quality ! Last cleaning needed antibiotic - he was not skilled but he wasn't out for malice like this person. On top of the her chaos; shock amount of their treatment plan when I got back to my car my mouth was caked in debris from cleaning. She didn't even wipe her Mess off my face, lips! Please be warned, this place is very expensive, and my experience was poor. I didn't know about this place, but an acquaintance recommended it. I called ahead to confirm my insurance was accepted, and they confirmed it, so I scheduled an appointment with the dentist. I asked for it back and they are giving me a runaround! They insist on payment immediately, but apparently don't have anyone who wants to take responsibility for reimbursing me!!!!!! Thy will quote very high prices and unnecessary services, and try very hard to convince you to accept the quote. If you don't agree, thy will claim to your insurance and ask you to pay waterver the insurance refused. Very unethical. They took unnecessary x-rays. Sylvia is the worst secretary to deal with. Ever. She pressured me into paying my balance in full on the spot..which I said before hand I needed to do a payment plan and they said that was fine. It was either that or she would have money deducted directly from my bank account for a future procedure I needed done. I didn't feel comfortable giving her my account information. She has a serious attitude problem and was acting like the dentist was treating me like a charity and I should be so grateful. I have insurance. This place is all show. I don't recommend and I will never allow Sylvia to handle the financial portion for me ever again. This deserves an update. I recently went back to get a procedure done and Sylvia was very accommodating with my financial situation. She was the only person available at the time so I had to speak with her. She toned her bad attitude down a lot. She allowed me to put down 10% instead of the normal 25% and she made sure I was comfortable with the payment arrangement. It was a lot different than the last time i went. It's like she actually cared and had empathy. I will increase this one star and once my oral surgery heals I will reevaluate. Hopefully my surgery will stop the pain once and for all. Only time will tell. read more

This is honestly one of the best dentist places that I have ever been too. The location is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. Typically they try to keep you with the same staff so it feels like you are a part of their family. However, due to my random schedule, I've reschedule my appointments many time so I have seen probably half staff here. And, yet, they must keep great notes because they seem to know me really well There was one time where I accidentally showed up a week early to my appointment. Instead of getting the typical response of "Hey, it's actually next week, sorry". This location gave a different answer along the lines of "Well, you are already here so let's see if we can squeeze you in somewhere soon with someone". Eagle Falls is clean, safe, professional, careful, thorough, knowledgeable, super patient with all of my questions and they explain everything they are doing and why! They make something that is usually not very enjoyable a positive experience. They all couldn't have been more welcoming and assuring. We had Korrie and Natalie and they were both FABULOUS! BONUS, my son has life threatening allergies (it's be easier to list what he isn't allergic to), and they were extra careful, double checked the ingredients on everything, and let me read ingredient lists too just to be extra safe! The dentists and hygienists are fine here; my issues have been with their front desk and billing practices. I should caveat this by saying that when I booked my first appointment I asked whether they took my insurance, they said of course and nothing further. Turns out I should have proactively asked if they were in network because they are not. Dentist offices in the past will typically disclose that up front, so shame on me for not asking. So, costs here for me were quite a bit more than other dentists. Long story short, they assess me for $2100 for a root canal and crown and I chose to go forward with it because the dentist tells me I could lose the tooth if I don't. Turns out the billing department did not correctly calculate the estimate costs or do the appropriate follow up with my insurance because I ended up having to pay approximately $2800. Through the process the front desk employees have been combative, refused to clearly explain why my charges were so much more, and continuously blamed the insurance for the cost surprises (even though one of them mumbled that their original estimate was done at 50% instead of the proper 25%). I was never apologized to for the surprise $700 that I was billed and honestly I would have gone to a different dentist if I knew the final cost was going to be $2800. I would not recommend this dental office for any restorative work since they cannot properly bill it. read more

I have been going to this place for almost 20 years. Originally, when Frank Szatkowski was working in the smaller office, I believed his practice was quite good. It was not the fanciness of the place and/or the high technologies, but the ability of him, as a dentist, to actually pinpoint and solve my dental problems without complete reliance on high tech and the newest technologies. Frank's care of the patients was phenomenal. The older generation of hygienists were also top notch. When Adam Szatkowski took over Frank's practice, a lot of problems ensued. I believe it was a lack of experience at the time. He has improved, though. When Adam decided to move his practice to the new location, I thought I'd give it a chance. However, over the last few years, it seems the extent of Adam's abilities, the quality of service, and his overall take on how to run the family business has stagnated to the point where money is more important than patient health and wellbeing. Adam is only available 3 days out of the week, which makes scheduling appointments difficult for his patients. The lack of consideration for the patient's time is an inconsistently major problem. I made an appointment for my 6-month cleaning at 9am on a Wednesday with Adam. I arrived on time for my appointment. However, I did not get seated until about 9:15am and the hygienist did not begin my cleaning until 9:30am. By the time I was done with my x-rays, cleaning, and the visit from Adam, it was almost 10:30am. Sometimes, I can get done in the allocated 30 minutes, while other times, I am sitting/waiting for an hour to get my cleaning done. I understand that delays do occur throughout the day. However, a solution might be to schedule cleanings for 45minutes, instead of 30minutes. By doing this, dentists will have more time to focus on their patients without rushing and patients will not have to constantly waste their time to get through their appointments. Additionally, the lack of accountability and responsibility is overwhelming. I have been going regularly and have always listened to Adam as to what needs to be done. I have not missed any x-rays and/or cleanings over the last 20 years. However, I suddenly hit with the information that not only do I have a cavity, but also need to have a crown done since my cavity is too large for a normal filling. All the while, I am thinking, how does a cavity go unnoticed for so long that I now need a crown. My last set of x-rays were taken last year and my oral hygiene has not changed. The whole affair is still baffling me. The new hygienists are also too green. I usually don't bleed during a cleaning. This time, however, my hygienist decided to poke at all my gums and I bled from every single tooth. Never have I had a more annoying experience. Finally, the whole mess of the insurance and how much to pay during each visit is enough to give make you go insane. So much push-and-pull from the front desk people...they know that insurance has to see my bill first, cover what they can, and then I get the final bill mailed to my house. But every time, they insist I pay X amount upfront. It really is a headache. Honestly, I could care less about the lobby aesthetics and the fancy massage chairs. I much rather prefer dentists who actually know what they are doing, can aid in the prevention of major dental surgeries/operations, and who can actually put the patient's health above money. I am currently looking around for another dental practice because this last time has really hit my baseline and has ticked off my patience. read more

I couldn't recommend this office more! I have been a patient for many years, what feels like all my life! I have seen many of the doctors, but in my adult years have been seeing Dr Brenda Martin. She is absolutely amazing. Not only is she extremely educated, kind, gentle and understanding. I, like most, have never enjoyed visiting the dentist but knowing that she's taking care of me takes away so much of the worry. I always see her Hygienist, Kelly. She's also very knowledgeable, gentle and funny! Which makes the appointment even better. All the way from the staff at the front desk, to the hygienist, to the dentist, I've never had less than a 10 star experience with this practice. I have had traditional cleanings as well as multiple cavity fillings, and (adult) teeth extractions and couldn't be more pleased with not only the patience from both Kelly and Dr Martin but also the results and experience. The worst dentistry in the suburbs of Chicago. Never had any issues before I came to them and let the botcher/butcher of Bloomingdale work on my teeth. His father may have been a great dentist but at some point money over morals has become the norm at Eagle Falls. Unfortunately, the problems start with the dentistry and end with the front office - they harass you and also make you feel guilty at the same time. When you speak up or discuss - they hang up on you and have the family take calls for whomever was unprofessional. Sad to say they also charge an arm and a leg for services - which would be great if all these other issues never existed. Shame on you Eagle Falls and shame on your personnel. Money over morals and honestly if you need a butcher you should go to the meat market. Very sad indeed that they try to give away TVs to get more customers - raffle a tv? You won't be going outside cause you will be embarrassed by your smile so you definitely need a TV. The TV costs about 250 dollars. Your first visit will be three times that to cover the cost of the raffle. Don't be a sucker and avoid this dentistry or you may end up a sucker - because you will lose all your teeth. read more

I'll start by saying the staff is very nice, and it is a beautiful practice. To keep it short and sweet my issues are with the billing. They wont tell you that they are out of network unless you ask and they'll take your insurance and you will still be paying 800 dollars out of pocket. For 2 and a half cleanings (my 2 year old didn't even get the fluoride) it was just under 1200. And since they are out of network your insurance probably won't even cover half. A nice place if you want to pay a ton but we won't be going back. Again, the staff was wonderful. read more

I was not happy with the services I received. The dentist took what seemed like unnecessary xrays even after we discussed me trying to avoid unnecessary radiation as much as I can, she even took an x-ray "just to make sure she got the filling out." She took 4-5 HOURS for 1 filling...yes hours...by the end of which my jaw was in agony and was sore for weeks after. The filling took so long that my assistant changed as I assume one went off shift. The first assistant was good but she forgot the lead apron for one of my many xrays they took and I had to remind her right before she quickly went to press the button. She kept apologizing. The next assistant was so awful, she was rough and kept hurting my mouth with the suction device and she was not sucking anything out of the back of my mouth so I felt like I was drowning. A few times I felt the dentist's drill slip onto the tooth next to it and drill at that healthy tooth for a second or two before she stopped it. I feel so many things went wrong. To top it off my tooth is hurting more than before and I'm going to have to go back to a different dentist, hoping they won't say I actually need a root canal now. Don't let the glitz and glam and the little party favors and tours fool you. read more
