As an out of town visitor, I am deeply disturbed at the customer service provided in this specific…read morestore. When I walked in, I was debating on applying for a store card since I've been considering it for almost a year and was already in the store. I wasn't greeted by anyone for almost two minutes, maybe three, while they talked amongst themselves. My greeting was, "Are you shopping for something in particular?" To which I replied, "No." I really wasn't. If I find something I like, I buy it. It's simple for me. When I did find a shirt I liked, I was confused by the sizing "00". I asked the associate, "Gabby", if a "00" was equivalent to an XL in other stores. She said it was a size 10. I asked her again, "So what is the equivalent for an XL. I've never seen a size 10 on a shirt so I'm asking what size I would need." And she disrespectfully said, "And I'm asking you what size you normally wear in other stores." I told her AGAIN a size XL. She finally answered the question by telling me, "Then you'd be a 1 in our store." I put back the shirt and left. Her customer service was a nonexistent and I'm beyond offended. She shouldn't even be employed in a store if she's unwilling to explain sizing that's different than other establishments. It wasn't even a big deal. Why did it need to come to me writing a review and leaving the store empty handed?

I LOVE the gals at Torrid in the Westroads Mall!…read more Any time I want a new outfit or if I'm looking for something that is more "me", I stop in and see the girls at Torrid. The plus-size clothing is great! This may sound a little odd, but I love that I'm a size 1 in that store! Everywhere else I shop, I have to get a 16 or 18, but when I go to Torrid, I don't have to fit into the mold of standard sizes - and that's REALLY nice when you've been shopping in the plus size sections of stores for the majority of your adult life... In addition to clothing, Torrid has great accessories to offer you. Edgy and modern, I know I can count on Torrid to deliver in quality of service, clothes, and associates!

I love Ann Taylor clothing and I hate ordering online, trying on at home and returning. Much prefer to go into the store. I can only get here a few times a year because I live two hours away. But I had no problems with their service.

I'm going to have to echo everyone else who has reviewed this store…read more The customer service is unbelievably bad, unless of course you're buying directly from the store. My girlfriend spends roughly $800 to $900 at a time buying from their online store. Those items that do not work for her, we return. We do the return at the store. We do it this way for two reasons. 1. So we can see that the credit is done 2. So she can also look to see if they have anything else she may like and/or the same items she is returning more in a size that is suitable for her petite size 0 frame. The employees hate having to do returns and try to encourage you to do them online instead by going back on line and registering your return and getting a QR code. You then take that QR code into the store and do your return. So you are pretty much doing the employees job so they don't have too, and you still have to go into the store for the return anyway. There are always some cranky ladies working here and they try to mask their distain for you and your returns by acting like they are very important because they work here and talk AT you very loudly. My g/f is really rethinking her decision to buy anything from Ann Taylor simply due to how we get treated in store. She said she will stick to Von Maur, where the staff is very helpful and always glad to see you. Ann Taylor needs to pay attention to their customers and get rid of the bad customer service. They are losing sales due to it.
