    This "UPDATE" is actually a review of the Service Department…read more Flashback to 23 NOV 2023. I had just finished eating my fill of Thanksgiving dinner at my in-laws and was preparing to make the 40-mile trip home in the rain. As we were leaving, my son, who was sitting in the back seat, advised me that he saw water on the passenger side back seat; specifically dripping down the back and on top of the seat where the headrest fits into the seat. A quick check of the seat revealed that the water was coming in through the corner of the rear glass. Further inspection revealed that it was leaking on both sides. I drove home in the rain with water steadily dripping inside, until I got home and placed a tarp over the truck to prevent any further water intrusion. A quick internet search revealed that there was a known issue with the trucks equipped with the electronic sliding rear glass. The next day, I called 4 Chevrolet dealers in the New Orleans metro area and explained the problem. All of them said that since I was out of the 3-year, 36-K mile factory warranty, there was nothing they could do for me other than replace the rear sliding glass at a cost of approximately $1,300.00. I explained to them that I also had the extended warranty, but they all advised that it did not cover glass! My next call was to Service Chevrolet Cadillac in Lafayette, LA, as this is where I bought the truck. Although it was a 3-hour drive to get there, this was my last hope. I spoke with Service Manager Jerome Babineaux, who was well aware of the Silverado rear sliding glass leak issue. He knew I had the extended warranty and called them on my behalf, only to also be told that glass leaks are not covered under the extended warranty. Before, I could make my disappointment known, he told me to give him some time and that he would call Chevrolet (corporate) on my behalf. A short while later that same day, Mr. Babineaux called me back and stated that he had spoken to Chevrolet and that they agreed to pay $1,000.00 and all I would be responsible for was $300.00. Mr. Babineaux stated that Service Chevrolet Cadillac had a great relationship with American Glass on Apollo Street and that they would do the job on Chevy's behalf. Although normally a 2-day job, Mr. Babineaux worked out a deal with American Glass that if I could get there at 7 AM, they would put an extra technician on the job and get t back to me the same day. Needless to say, I left at 4 AM on 30 NOV 2024 and arrived at Service Chevrolet at 7 AM. Service advisor John Prejean was already expecting me and treated me very courteously. Soon after arriving, my truck was on its way to American Glass. Both John & Jerome kept me updated throughout the day, and around 3:00-3:30 PM, my truck was returned to me with a brand new rear sliding glass. I can honestly say that the Service Department truly went out of its way to get me a great deal, which made the best of a bad situation. So grateful for Jerome Babineaux and John Prejean. Can't recommend them enough, as they provided me with the highest level of customer service.

Service: I Had scheduled transmission…read morefluid and oil change as priority, with a trunk issue if they had time (that Service caused on a prior visit - trunk worked fine, Service performs a recall, trunk never worked after) anyways they said fluids could be done on Monday so I dropped off Sunday night. A week goes by (I am In a rental truck) and still no fluid changes. I call and they say that they were waiting on trunk part. I needed fluids changed, f that trunk part. Charges me inspection and trunk diagnoses. So Trunk issue remains and fluids not changed. Also sales rep tried to offer me $44k for 2020 Corvette. F that noise. Everyone is a joke. Never purchasing from Service
