I am disabled as a result of a crime in the state of Arkansas. My insurance is Medicaid. There are many doctors and specialist who only take Medicaid, as it was clearly stated to me out of his mouth, "I make my living off of Medicaid". That is a 15 minute visit in which you are not listened to, or told that as an Orthopedic Surgeon he was not allowed to write any prescriptions for narcotics. I did not ask for pain medication even though I am in extreme pain. I wanted to see what was going on and if it was something that can be fixed or managed. I was told that it was just my body wearing out in the first visit and told that because of my Hashimoto's disease and allergy to anti-inflamitory medications that there was nothing he could do. I asked for an MRI and he did agree but it was not because he felt there was anything seriously hurting me. On my second visit the mri results did show some damage, nothing that needed surgery, but still damage that causes limited mobility and pain. People on Medicaid are considered bottom feeders because Medicaid doesn't pay hardly anything so it's like running cattle in and out all day and if you disagree or ask questions you are considered a problem. My second visit I was screamed at for voicing that there had to be a way for an orthopedic surgeon to help me in some way in this day and age of miracle medicines and procedures that there was absolutely nothing he could do for me and told me he did not say my body was just wearing out. About three sentences later after screaming and telling me he is trying to educate me about my own body, he said again, your body is just wearing out. When I asked to change my muscle relaxer from Flexeril to Soma because it wasn't working he told me it was a narcotic and he was not allowed to write meds for narcotics of any kind. I did not know it was a narcotic. He used foul language and I did not. I cried for 4 hours after being screamed at and told I could go somewhere else.... no, there are not many options for medicaid patients in the rural area I am in so I had to be screamed at to be able to just get an mri so maybe someone else can help me get back to my life with my grandchildren. This man is the MOST unprofessional physician I have EVER seen in my life and I would not take a dog with a broke leg to this man who oozes a lack of care of what your situation is.... depending on how much he is paid for your 15 minutes of listening to him tell you he is basically a worthless doctor who can't help in any way. I am also reporting him for Medicaid fraud. After telling me physical therapy wouldn't work, he wrote me for 6 weeks of physical therapy. Very self contradictory and a liar. read more
