This place is really well suited for this area, all the services of a major hospital here close to…read morehome. It has been my experience that the ER is never crowded. It is clean on the inside, the only downside is that they seem to be understaffed.

Taken to ER 6-7-26 with excruciating abdominal pain and nausea. I told Dr. C. Simpson I thought my…read morestomach was blocked. Was given morphine which had no effect. When pain reached 10/10, I was unable to stay in the bed. I stood, I leaned across the bed, I sat in the floor, anything to get relief. I took off the bp cuff and pulse ox monitor because I was writhing in pain. Nurse Jason came in with a stronger pain reliever and scolded me for taking off the monitors. My husband told him I was thrashing around because I was in so much pain. Nurse Jason turned on my husband, held the syringe up in my husband's face and hatefully said, "I'm about to inject her with this that can cause respiratory failure, and I need to be able to monitor her!" My husband said nothing more. When Dr. Simpson came in with my CT results, he went straight to my husband and said, "This getting loud with the nurse isn't going to work. Don't do it." We both stated my husband had never raised his voice, but Dr. Simpson reiterated, "Well, don't do it." He then looked at my results and said there was nothing remarkable, and I probably had a stomach bug." He prescribed an antibiotic and steroid. When I wasn't any better 2 days later, I went to another doctor who saw my CT results and told my husband it WAS remarkable and to get me to an ER immediately. I was admitted to Conway Baptist Hospital that evening and spent NINE days there for a total blockage and partial blockage of my intestines! I believe I could have died had I gone along with Dr. Simpson's diagnosis. He wasn't concerned about my test. He just wanted to bully my husband because Nurse Jason tattled, and, might I say, LIED about what went on. That was the most unprofessional conduct I have ever witnessed in a health care setting.
