From the very first day, I felt welcomed and encouraged. He brings such a positive energy to the workouts that keeps you going. The one-on-one training that he provides is amazing. As a gym newbie, I came into my training with Zach with 3 main goals: 1. Develop a regular fitness routine. This is often a big hurdle for a lot of people just trying to get into fitness (myself included). It can be hard to develop the habit before it falters away. Having regular workouts with Zach really helped to create the routine and motivation I needed, which has since carried on after finishing training with him. 2. Develop a core foundation of the basics of weight-lifting. Before starting with Zach, I had a lot of anxiety when it came to going to a larger gym. I didn't know my way around the equipment and didn't know how to create a holistic workout plan for myself. After training with Zach, I feel more confident than ever going to my own gym now and creating personal workout plans. 3. Gain muscle. I was in the minority of Zach's clients in that most are focused on weight-loss whereas I was focused on weight and muscle gain. I had a long history of struggling to gain both of these things. While I by no means became a bodybuilder after 8 months, I saw concrete progress in muscle growth and weight gain through my training with Zach. It is such an amazing feeling to look back and see all the progress that was made in lifting. They don't just promote everyone automatically like some places do. My son is mildly autistic and this is the sport that he thrived at because of the structure and orderliness of it. The teachers are both patient and work with my kids while still firmly insisting on execution and respect. They understand that kids have different learning styles and different levels of motivation and are able to make it work for everyone. The kids really enjoy all the instructors and respond well to instruction and even discipline when it is warranted. I can't speak to cost / value because I have nothing to compare it against but for us it is affordable and all the costs related to uniform, tournaments, and belt ceremonies have good value. I started doing functional training to restore connectivity. By doing this I was able to activate and restore my bodies normal function. Today I can walk lift and workout including wait lifting. I never though I could do this. My pain is way less but the best part is how I can move freely. This doesn't mean im not in pain at times it means its bearable. I've learned to use proper muscles, eat properly to fuel my body.
