I was on Percocet for over 30 years for a spinal disease called DISH and multiple herniations over…read morethat time. The day I go on vacation was the day I was supposed to pick up my monthly Percocet but my flight left earlier than the pharmacy was open so I tried to get Turok to send me my meds to where I was going. I had multiple problems getting that done so I came home in alot of pain and extreme stiffness. His office then sent a much smaller dose and smaller quantity of my medication and I kept asking why and all I got was Dr Turok leaving nasty messages. Then I receive a letter that starting Jan 1st 2023, his office was no longer prescribing opiods and left me with NOTHING to hold me over AND still no reason why he, for the 1st time ever reduced my meds without reason! I now find out he lied to me, that letter was a complete lie and he has been prescribing opiods without interruption! STILL NO EXPLANATION and now he has blackballed me as no other pain mgt doctor will give me what I need, give me any opiods at all and some won't even see me!!! I not only have advanced DISH but now need a 4 level fusion in my neck, have Shmorl nodes eating away my lumbar spine and this POS doctor could care less! On top of that, he talked me into getting Testosterone implanted in me last year without any care that my BP spiked so high that I almost stroked out and refused to take any responsibility. Moreover, I found out after the fact that when I thought I was getting epidurals for my neck and back, they were either trigger point injections or nerve blocks. As others have pointed out, Turok is nice when you're giving him the high priced injections and other treatments that he can make the most money but if you mainly need pain meds to function and you cause any issue on getting your meds, he'll shut you down and lie his ass off! Avoid this POS! It's too bad I couldn't give a 0 Stars.

have known Craig since 1980 when he just started his practice. I was trying to get an appointment…read morewith a well known Chiropractor in the area but he was simply too busy to accept new patients. He suggested that I call his chiropractor, Craig O'Connell, so I did and he has never disappointed me. My husband was going to Yale for a back injury injury that seemed to be getting worse despite painful injections and pills. They said his only option was surgery that would require a year to recover from and restrict his to lifting no more that 25 lbs. He was only 24! I did some research and decided to try a Chiropractor. Craig examined him, took x-rays and said he couldn't repair the damage but he thought he could treat the symptoms, relieve his pain and help him manage the injury. He said he wanted to see him 3 times a week for 8 weeks, but, in 6 visits he would know if he could help him. Craig is a therapeutic Chiropractor, he doesn't do hard adjustments unless you ask and he puts emphasis on Prevention. How the way you move and stand can affect you, especially in jobs that require standing, lifting and repetitive motions. After 4 weeks he reduced the visits to twice a week, by the end of 6 weeks Mark was a different person with no pain and almost full range of motion. He went back for "touchups" whenever he felt that he overdid it but this was light years away from what he expected and we are both grateful. I have had some back stress and a painful, traumatic injury from work but Craig was always there when I called for help and ergonomic suggestions to help me at work. He is a kind, generous man who is dedicated to his practice and his patients. I honestly cannot say enough good things about him and I dread his retirement which I hope is a long way off.

I have been seeing him as needed since 1987. I am currently seeing him for an injury acquired at a Physical Therapy facility. They injured my back treating my foot. Their remedial treatment of my back was not consistent nor especially helpful so I ended up back with Dr. O'Connell. One part of his comprehensive and personal treatment is taking the time to acquaint himself with his patients and learn the particulars about them that may affect their treatment and recovery. You will never find yourself hooked up to a machine and left alone staring at the ceiling. He will change your life if you let him and teach you how to remain healthy and avoid future visits. One look at the photo Bethany chose to represent herself to the world pretty much tells me what I need to know about her. I have always rather appreciated the fact that unlike most doctors, Dr. O'Connell would not expect me to come up with the cash before being treated or even seated every time I needed to see him, but would bill me for what my insurance did not cover, and basically allow me to pay at my convenience. There is good reason the Doctor does not need to advertise his business.

The surgical discussion was very balanced & he explained fully what I could anticipate for recovery & the risks. My surgery was 100% successful! I was at the Hartford Hosp outpatient center in Milford and the entire office & medical staff was great. I went into the surgery feeling that I was in good hands across the board, especially with Dr. W. He takes his time to really listen to patients and is not a surgeon who believes surgery is always the answer. He had been recommended to me by other medical professionals and I completely see why. I cannot recommend him and the staff he has engaged more highly.
