Dr Church is my go to guy for most everything to keep a body happy!! He is so knowledgeable about nutrition and how to listen to your body. He also saved my grandson from having brain surgery. I have only been a patient of Dr. Church for all of an hour (that's an exaggeration) ...I met him and his office staff today for my first visit and care was exceptional from the time I walked through the door. After suffering with back pain for about 7 months, I decided to do something about it. I had never been to a chiropractor and I was nervous. I have been going to Atlas since the end of February and I am overwhelmingly impressed with the care that I have received. I have suffered from frequent, debilitating migraines for over 20 years and for the first time in my life I have relief WITHOUT medication. I had several friends recommend chiropractic care over the years and I was always hesitant to try it as I was told by many doctors that my condition was manageable with medication but, not "fixable". Dr. Graham and Dr. Church are knowledgeable and the front desk staff are delightful. They performed the X-Rays in office and went over the findings (both pre treatment and post treatment) with me in a way that was both easy to understand and extremely thorough. I went there for back adjustments back in 2012 . "Adam" did a knee adjustment and tore my meniscus in two places. His focus is on adding more things to your bill (money focus) and does not have any idea of what he is doing. This guy does not have any knowledge to health and is irresponsible, so beware of him. I have known Dr. Church for approximately 20 years. I originally started seeing him in Atlanta, and he still follows up with me every time he is in town at continuing education seminars. Chiropractic is a quick win as well as an ongoing endeavor. I've been seeing Dr. Church this time for almost two years. Through x-rays he has shown me how the exercises, traction and adjustments have brought my spine back into alignment. He has worked diligently to relieve a bulged disk and kept me from having to take opiates and/or have surgery. For this I am truly grateful. Previously I saw him starting almost ten years ago when I broke my collar bone from a horse back riding accident. He treated me then for a period of three years. I was allergy free, never caught a cold, started losing weight and felt fantastic. I stopped going when I felt awesome. Two years ago the left side of my face was in constant sinus pain as well as having such terrible neck pain I was unable to turn my head to view traffic while driving. This was a very dangerous situation with a commute of an hour each way on the highway. I tried everything through conventional doctors for a while until it dawned on me, the last time I felt awesome I regularly going to Dr. Church. I made an appointment, got x-rays again and within three visits my face pain was gone. Dr. Church has worked diligently with me for the remaining time to keep me from surgery for my bulged disk. I appreciate this more than anything. I have no plans to stop going. read more

Do you know what a snake oil salesman is? Mr. Church (he loves it when you call him "doctor") is slick, slick, slick. He offers free do dads and dinners to get you to divulge your friends names so he can contact them as future patients. The real name of his game is to find out how much your insurance company will reimburse you for chiropractic treatment, then sign you up for additional "discounted" rates after you have maxed out what your insurance company will give him. This is paradoxical as he at first claims a few sessions will make you feel like a new person. I guess that all depends on what insurance carrier you have. His actual adjustment sessions never lasted more than two minutes. He'll adjust you once or twice and then pass you off to the junior chiropractor. If you go to one of his "free" informational dinners (remember, there really is no such thing as free!) he fives you a slickly packaged testimonial video from supposedly former patients who say this chiropractor can cure a rainy day (asthma, gout, bubonic plague). Chiropractic IS very controversial to some, but I have been to some very good ones, but the practices of this practice is why chiropractic sometimes gets a bad name. read more

Went there for a few months 3 times a week. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately this didn't fix anything for me and a second xray showed very little change.I also received a bill 6 months after discontinuing treatment at end of the year claiming I owed money and it is120 days late. I also felt pressured to resign up again all the time for months on end even though my problem was still there. I spent a very lot of money and my insurance for no results and 5 mins of actual adjustments if that . I stopped going and began feeling relief within a day or 2 . Not impressed and not very comfortable with they whole payment plan . Won't recommend after receiving a so called unpaid bill,months later, not very professional in my opinion. read more

If I could give Dr. Church 10 stars I would! He is a doctor that genuinely cares about his patients, and about giving the best quality of care possible. Giving 110% of his care and attention to every single patient. Atlas Chiropractic is not just a doctor's office, everyone is treated like one big extended family. Chiropractic helps with so much more than just back and neck issues. My daughter suffered from asthma, and thanks to Dr. Church she MAYBE uses an inhaler once a year, sometimes not even that. We don't use any preventative medication for her, and she rarely ever gets sick unlike most children in our school. I myself have suffered with scolosis since childhood, and my parents opted for no surgery. My back is in great shape thanks to Dr. Church and I am able to exercise, run, do yoga, nobody would every know that I have scolosis unless they saw my xrays. read more

The other review of Atlas is negative because Dr. Church markets his product. Really? That's what businesses do, they market for more customers/patients. That's how they stay in business. My entire family (Me, wife, two kids) has gone to Dr. Church for years now. He doesn't say you'll feel better in a few sessions. In fact, it is just the opposite, he says it takes a while. Even the literature in the exam rooms say it is a process and regular maintenance is required. If you are not going to read the data or listen to the doc, then you're going to have a negative experience. The reviewer sounds like she has a personal grudge against Dr. Church. I've been to several different chiropractors before Atlas. Some were OK, some not. But they all did the same thing. It was one stop shopping. Adjust and ice then move on. By the time I went to Atlas I had chronic pain from a motor cycle accident more than ten years prior. Dr. Church actually examined me (should not be a shock for a doctor to examine but when others don't it becomes shocking). Then I was treated for my specific condition, not a standard one way treatment. Others whom I know were all treated for what specifically ailed them. My father went to his GP and three specialists for a swollen ankle and foot pain. They all kept referring him to others, saying it was one thing or another. While at Atlas, he showed it to the doctor, who adjusted the ankle, and the swelling went down immediately. My father laughed at how simple the solution was. I can go on with anecdotal evidence but I'll just say that this is the only chiropractor I will go to. read more

I went to see Dr. Church back in June for an issue I have had with my neck for several years. In the past when I went to a chiropractic office it would be an adjustment and stimulation for the injured area and a short term relief of the pain. Dr. Church showed me that to take care of my problem for long term relief I needed to commit to the process of adjustments and learning exercises to strengthen my neck and correct the problem. In the time I have see him my neck feels better and I religiously go to my adjustments and work on my exercised every day. He has shown me through x rays that I am once again getting the correct curvature in my neck that was off line based on years of working hunched over a computer. I cannot express enough how much he has helped me out and I look forward to being a patient of his for years to come. read more

This is In reference to my last review. I was in the gym in east haven and I started talking too someone who also attended Mr. Chruch's practice. The man stated that, he was getting adjustments and Mr. Chruch was not listening to him, when stating that he was feeling pain with specific movements. Unfortunately, the man ended up collapsing in parking lot outside Adam's practice after being upset with him for doing adjustments without listening to him first. The man explained that , he ended up having back surgery due to Adam's lack of listening and being sensitive to patient needs. The man, also explained how Mr. Church had tried to double charge his insurance company and was almost in trouble. This practice really needs strick attention from authority. I cannot stress to all readers that, please search for a caring practice and don't realize how bad this place is the hard way. Mr. Church is a practioner that cares for nothing more than how much money your wallet can provide. I have experienced doctors like this practioner and find that people get physical and mentally injured due to their lack of knowledge. Mr. Church's main web site will not let you review him unless your invited, which means he controls all his reviews. If he is so good like his main site say's, why do you need an invite? This place is nothing more than a money scam that has hurt people. read more
