This review is for the Scottsdale office which I could not find on yelp. 3303 N. 75th St. For 8 years I have been given foot gear every year by Medicare due to 12 years of diabetic neuropathy. Each time at three different locations they ask what size and which shoe. End of story. This year I was sent to Hanger, I went from one star service to five star service. This Scottsdale location did an in depth interview, numerous measurements gave information on why some styles might be better suited for me. After the arrival of the shoes still did some shaving of insoles then wanted me back in two weeks at which time careful review of the insoles (with adjustments) sitting on the floor checking movement of each foot. I cannot believe they go to show much to make sure everything is perfect. I peeked in the window of their large well equipped lab...... amazing Lori Dias, C.P.O. did fittings after a man did original analis attention to detail is great. Do not hesitate to check on these people for any prosthetic or feet gear kneads you might have. read more

I am right along side all the other horrible reviews on this business. The front desk resepionist is condescending and rude. Made me feel as if I were bothersome to her and with that squecky little ookay she seems to think she delivers in such polite way. You should be fired from what I read here on yelp about you. I needed a knee brace and my prescription was sent to the Glendale location and I live in Chandler. When I spoke to the Glendale location they were disappointed that I was going to a different location, but for me it was better to use the Chandler location since I live in Chandler. You would have thought that someone, anyone from the Chandler location would provide any type of customer service and say, Mr Orvis we will get right on that for you and sort this out for you. What really happened was I called the Glendale location and sorted it out myself and they would fax the prescription right this minute. Glendale location was and is great as I have used them before and at this point I should have just made the drive up to them. I waited 30 min for the Chandler location to call me back once they received the fax and to no surprise they did not call. Well I finally decided to call the Chandler location and explained who I was again through all the noise and chatter in the background and of coarse it was the worst receptionist again and when she finally realized it was me again, it almost sounded like she was basking in the glory that I had to wait for authorization from my insurance company. And as I'm writing this review Katrina from the Glendale location has called me twice in regards to my needs and is now going to take care of things for me. Came here for a brace for my daughter's fractured knee as prescribed by her specialist. I called ahead of time and was told "get here before 4" because she was going home on time. Uhm...I should have known that I wasn't walking into a caring, nurturing environment at that point. Found the place and there wasn't anyone else there (surprise surprise) so we signed in and the first question was whether or not I had insurance. Yes. I have insurance. Next question: through who? So I tell her. And then...you have that through a job? YES it's through a job...and what in the world would it matter if it wasn't. It's insurance. You are going to get paid since that's all you really care about; why do you care whether it's through a job? Ugh...and stop asking me questions - just take the insurance card and you can see for yourself. Deep breathing was required. I filled out the paperwork and then waited. When we were called back to be fitted for the brace, the person working there asked "why do you need this" in the most ridiculous, condescending tone she could muster? WHAT? BECAUSE HER DOCTOR SAID SHE NEEDED IT! But why, she asked again (even though we'd already explained what happened, how it happened, that we'd been to urgent care, our doctor, and a specialist, had xrays and an MRI done). I don't know - would you like to call him? His number is on the prescription that is in your hand? If you disagree with his diagnosis, please do call him. She then said - no, that's okay. I was just wondering why you needed it. Listen lady, I'm not here to scam anyone out of a knee brace. You see me, my kiddo, her crutches, and the doctor's prescription. Please dump whatever conclusions you made when we walked in and just give us the brace so we can focus on her healing. It's no wonder that the lobby was empty. At first, I had a problem because the Hanger Clinic did not schedule me for a fitting for quite a few weeks and I needed to get this done by the end of the year (for insurance purposes). But after registering my complaint, my orthopedic shoes were expedited and indeed sent overnight so that this could be done very quickly for me. Suzanne did a very nice job adjusting the molds to my feet and the fit is excellent! Thank you, Hanger Clinic. Had it not been for the initial delay, I would have given a 5 star review. I cannot begin to tell you how amazing the staff at this clinic are. I have a fractured ankle and between my urgent care visit, my primary care clinic, and my insurance company I was forced to go without treatment (a walking boot) for a week. Through that whole process Hanger stood by me, tried to advocate for me. At the end of the day, when everyone else who was responsible for helping me failed, Hanger took care of it. This brought tears to my eyes. Sometimes you just need someone who listens to you and cares. Hanger did, both through their words and their healthcare model. I received a late billed (9 months?) for about $300 for a not-a-visit visit. I went to this Clinic back in San Francisco, if this is not the same Clinic..sorry! First off, I waited over an hour just to be seen. The front desk person ignored me unless I go up the to window and said, "Excuse me," and then proceeded to rudely closing the window. Very unprofessional. After waiting, I was called into the office. It didn't look like much of an office--just a table and some chairs. The "doctor" looked at her laptop for almost 95% of the time. It felt like the laptop was the patient. There was minimal talking. I ended up with a wrist brace after waiting an hour and a half. A wrist brace probably cost under $50 AND less time if I bought it online or at Target or something. Point: Never coming back, ever. read more

Once again crappy customer non service. I called in the morning to inquire about diabetic shoes. Wasn't informed about the paperwork process or requirements or that an appointment is necessary. I get there in 118 degree heat to learn about paperwork and appointment requirement AFTER hauling out my walker. She literally almost threw my paperwork back at me. I'm so done with this company. I decided to give them a try despite a ton of horrible reviews- big mistake. When setting my appointment more than a week in advance I asked if I would need a prescription. I was told no, since the first appointment was just an initial consultation and the fitting would be at a separate appointment. When I arrived, (after taking time off of work), I was told I could not go in without a prescription. I told them of my conversation when setting the appointment and they still told me they would not let me in. I immediately tried calling my doctor's office to try to get the prescription, and while I was on the phone a walk-in was given my appointment right in front of me! This was only about 10 min into my hour long appointment time! I asked- are you giving her my appointment? He said yes, she was here before you. BUT I had an appointment, was still in that appointment time, AND was given false information by THEIR company. They should have let me at least try to get them what they needed before so rudely bypassing my scheduled time right in front of my face! Additionally, I was told they would not be able to call me with price options once they receive my prescription- I'd have to come back. Yeah- well, I won't be coming back. In a word, unprofessional. The people behind the receptionist desk were chomping on candy bars and acted like I was inconveniencing them with my presence. I was there for a pull on leg brace and waited for over thirty minutes. I asked if I should come back another time and was informed that she, the receptionist, was just getting ready to call my insurance for approval. What the heck was she doing for thirty minutes? I was the only one there in the office and the phone never rang. Once she called I was out in less than 10 minutes. Will never return. read more

My appt was for 4.30 pm. I waited an hour and there was no one else in the waiting room. The front desk assistant complained about patients with a nurse the entire time I waited. She was very rude and demanding. She got to my chart and kept complaining about having to reach insurance and was making fun of the brace that I needed. The front desk assistant continued to complain to the docotr about my problems and needing insurance. Terrible customer service! read more

Would give a zero star but was forced to put one in. Let's just say that this is the worst customer service ever. I went to urgent care this morning had x rays done and have pulled my Achilles. Dr gave me a referral for a boot today. Standard according to my insurance company. Called insurance and they said no authorization for anything under 500.00. So I go to the first 4 places they recommended and they are all storage units or closed. I called a 5th time now and was sent to hanger at alma school. I called them first to see if they had the walking boot and she said they did and in the process she asked if I had insurance. I have her everything she requested and she got snappy with me because she wanted a form from insurance that they were gonna pay them as many customers screwed them over. She proceeded to continuously repeat herself and then when I pinned her in her own story that didn't add up she said she don't give a Sh$t and hung up on me. I was floored. I called insurance again for another place and they sent me to hanger in Mesa AZ and this place is amazing. Helpful and talked to insurance and I'm finally getting a boot after waiting for 5 hours to get it. Never go to the alma school location and I'm gonna find them on BBB and complain plus all social media. Horrible horrible service read more

There should be a never ever, ever use button on here. This company is the biggest rip-off artist. My family has dealt with them three times and this is how it goes. "We've called your insurance and this is what they cover. You just need to pay this amount." You leave with your item and then get mailed an invoice for more money. You can't return their product because it is used and they rush to collections. My mother was given a walking boot and told to take it to try on shoes with it,. when she came back, the same day, they told her the insurance had denied the claim and she needed to pay the full amount. She tried to return the boot, then and there, and was told that since she had left the premises, it was not possible, even though they had told her it was 100% covered and she should take it to try the shoes and come back for adjustments. I paid the extra 300 I was invoiced for my newborn's leg brace and was charged twice to my card. These people better hope I don't see them outside the office, because I will hurt them read more

Poor customer service. Front desk person is not very warm or kind. The lady who originally fit me complained about being tired and talked very condescendingly to me. Finally, my boot straps broke in two places and I had to come back twice to get it returned. They were not understanding. You'd think a business that takes care of people could do better and have better products. read more

The main orthotic maker (Ms. E) is a consummate professional who really knows her trade and good customer service. She repaired a 5 year old orthotic that another hanger facility said was irreparable. And when the manufacturing facility in Florida botched the new prescription/order, she immediately straightened it out and made them expedite both the job and the shipping. read more
