Instead Jaime told me the problem was one of two things, and he began opening the television on the spot. He was correct that one speaker had broken and the other one would shut off after a period of time as a safety precaution. Jaime had a used speaker from another set, but the case it was inside would not fit my television. Jaime opened the case, removed the speaker, and installed it in my television. It has been working fine. For a manufacturer's repair that would have cost $240 plus parts, Jaime charged me $89 plus tax. He was very nice and explained well what he was doing as he proceeded with the diagnosis and repair. He also recycled a part, which I highly approve of!

He could have just said I forgot the appointment or I was busy or I changed my mind. All of those would have been acceptable. To make up this ridiculous story is completely laughable. Shame on you.

I paid the service charge of $85.00. When he returned with the part, I was charged another $85.00 for a service charge plus the cost of the part. I explained I understood the service charge to be a one-time charge not a charge for him to come out and another service upon returning to install the part. Everyone else I contacted informed me there would be a one-time service charge to include coming out to diagnose the problem and if they had to return because a part was needed. We negotiated the amount and I paid $125.00. The following day, I tried the printer only to discover the roller he installed was still not grabbing the paper. I called Dan and he told me he would come out the next day. The next day came, and Dan did not show or call. I called him again; he apologized and informed me he would come out after 5pm. Again, another no show. I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of communication and honesty, not to mention the out-of-pocket expense of $210.00 for a printer that is not working. I would caution anyone who is considering utilizing the services of FixitNow to think twice and make sure you get the particulars in writing. Also, do not use Zelle and I did, as there is no recourse. BUYER BEWARE!!!
