The restaurant is clean and organized and the staff are always hustling and the nicest young people ever! We're huge fans of the Cavern Burgers here so our expectations were already pretty high. The Cheesesteaks did NOT disappoint! The in-house sliced Ribeye, onion and Cooper cheese is so well combined on the grill that it has to be magic! OH and the Onion Rings are a great Go With! Well...one evening we decided to try the custard at both establishments, back to back, and rate them. My girl and I both agreed that the custard at B&L had a better taste and consistency. Certainly a very unofficial test, but both of us were adamant that B&L's custard was superior. So...if you want one of Spelunker's famous burgers and fries, absolutely go there...but stop at B&L for your custard dessert fix. And it is never so incredibly crowded there that you can't get on the lot, as it is at Spelunker's.

I can see chaos ensuing on a typical warm summer evening but we were here well before dusk and the only ones at that. The server was friendly and talkative as we approached the bright white trailer to place our order. We each got a cone, mine vanilla and my wife's swirl. She surprisingly didn't get her's dipped in chocolate. Pro tip: the small size is plenty big for most mortals. Our custard was satisfying and definitely hit the spot. They have some picnic tables and umbrellas to sit and enjoy your frozen delights while people watching others trying to get in and out of the narrow one way parking lot. Lastly, you might need some patience turning left out of there to get back to 522 but after a nice cone or shake you should be plenty chill to make it easy.

Definitely not a place you wanna drop bombs at, unless you want the staff to suffer. The toilet paper was average and the soap was average. So, if you've had Hershey's ice cream, you know what you're getting. All decent. My kids went crazy for the colorful vanilla and the cotton candy. They also offer fruit smoothies, though I overheard the staffer explaining that he stops offering them in October because there is less demand for them. There is a gender-neutral bathroom (slightly dingy, but otherwise adequate) with a changing table. I'm a tall guy, and the table was a perfect height for me, so good luck changing your baby if you're less than 5'9. Cash is king - they waive the card fee if you pay in cash, so come prepared! Although it was crowded when we arrived, they had plenty of parking in the back of their lot. We grabbed a table under a tree to provide some shade and went to order. Despite the long line, it moved very quickly. When we got up to the front, the cashier asked if we were veterans, seeing everyone wearing their combat service affiliations for the rider's group. For ease of ordering, we put everything on one tab, and were absolutely amazed by the incredibly generous military discount! (The group was truly touched, so thank you very much to Moo Thru for honoring their service.) The ice cream was delivered to us from the back window. It was delicious!! The ice cream was so creamy, and I could eat a whole gallon of the cookies & cream. While it's a bit of a hike for me to get to Moo Thru, it's definitely worth the distance, and I look forward to my next visit!
