To add he was using my personal tools to complete his work. He would disappear at weeks at time leaving a mess behind him. He came up with every excuse in the book why he couldn't make it. He ruined my home and also stoll tools from garage. When confronted he laughed and returned them. I now have to pay a professional to fix his work. If I could give no stars I would and he walked away with another of my money that I will never get back. The work he did I fear for the safety of my family . Please people do your home work when hiring a contractor because Claud is a fraud.

Claud also told me that he hires women and minorities and is non discriminator. The job was to install vinal siding, fascia, and soffits on a newly installed modular home. He gave me a good line and compared to other quotes from other contractors I thought it was a fair price to install these materials that came with my modular, including nails. He said he would supply the necessary equipment including pump jack scaffolding. When Claud and I agreed on the scope of work He showed up with his wife and mother-in-law holding a latter. After the fascia was installed there was buckling with the sheet metal and I was told because the roof wasn't square. Also, after a month to complete this task the vinal siding and fascia started to come undone in several places. The first time I called him he did put some of the fascia and siding back in place and said he would be back to make everything right than the excuses began: Next week I will be out Thursday I will be there by the end of the week. Been busy with the storm! We will be there at the end of the week In the hospital and am having allergic action with my hand Fascia is fixed I will be back there tomorrow afternoon Can't talk right now. Be there in the morning I'm trying to get there I'll be stopping by tomorrow morning. I'm stuck on another job I told you I'll be there Friday morning Be there Monday morning I'll swing by this weekend to take a look at it Lastly wife said Claud as COVID ! Claud never made an attempt to call me or come back to the site and now we had to call additional contractors to fix his handiwork! For your own sake do not hire Claud and please pay the additional cost to get a reliable contractor to right the job right the first time ! Based on my review and others that were taken for a ride. Hopefully something could be done regarding retribution!

John J. Sala Construction Corp. was hired to reconstruct and upgrade the home of a 90 year old…read morewidow. This project touched major parts of the house, including all interior walls, hardwood floor, siding, deck and roof. Every single part of this project was left incomplete or damaged when John and his son Jay abandoned the project in April 2019. We had several contracts with them, for example for a new air conditioning system, replacing the basement floor, etc. When the work was nearing completion, John came and demanded more money, and we set up a payment schedule for the remainder of our contract and paid him for some additional work, removing the hot water heating system covers in all the rooms, so they could be replaced. Following a partial payment for this action, the company damaged the heating system and abandoned the project. This was a major project in the 100,000 range, for which we had paid all but the last 3,000 or so. The company did not file permits correctly or complete most of the work. We do not recommend.
