Homeowners BEWARE! Atlantic Duct & Dryer Vents is Not the name of this so called company. It's Best…read moreCleaning 4U which is apparently located in New York. That's if you can believe anything the alleged "manager" claims. I specially made the appointment for 12-1PM and requested a 15 minute heads up as this Dryer Vent cleaning was for my 93 year old mother and she needed my assistance. At 9:39AM, they wanted to move the appointment up to 10:30ish. No! At 11:14, a man who could barely speak English called to say he was almost there. Fortunately, I got there in time because there was no way she could have dealt with him. The individual they sent never pulled out the dryer or cleaned behind there. Cost was to be $96 for first 6 feet. $10 for each additional foot. He arbitrarily decided she had an additional 6 feet. Price $170. I had to ask him 4 times who to make the check out to. Never received an answer because apparently he doesn't understand much English. He never filled out the basic information (name, address etc...) on the paperwork which needs to go to the Homeowners Association. While I completed that and wrote the check, he practically hovered over me. Refused to just go get his equipment out of the truck. When he finally brought his equipment inside, he dropped a large shopvac on the tile and put a crack in it. He also chipped the paint on the stairs. When confronted, he denied it. He proceeded to knock the screen door off its track and slam the shopvac into her houseplants. Outside, he never bothered to remove the vent cover which has slots. There is no way that Vent was thoroughly cleaned! The receipt is basically illegible. The comment is spelled as follows: "Droer joood." "Elete serveces." The "job" took about 5 minutes. When he left, he abruptly said something in Spanish and it certainly wasn't Goodbye or have a nice day. I gave myself 4 days to try to simmer down from this experience. I just called and asked to speak with a manager or an owner. The woman who answered claimed to be a manager, which is highly doubtful. If she is a manager, she needs to learn some customer service skills. I questioned why they sent some other company out to do the job. She claimed they are now Best Cleaning 4U and that it is difficult to get the name changed via the internet. I firmly expressed my displeasure. I said the guy was an idiot, who could not speak English and did a shit job. A real manager would have apologized for the situation. She chose to tell me their employees are not idiots. Once again, I said I had to ask 4 times who to make the check out to and got no response. Her solution to the situation, hang up the phone on me! I called back immediately and asked if she did in fact hang up on me. Yes, she did. I proceeded to tell her that I would voice my complaint anywhere I could on the internet. Again, this alleged manager hung up the phone. For my mother's safety, I have notified all of her neighbors as to what transpired. If that truck or any strangers are seen near her residence, they will call the police. I plan to notify her police department, Homeowners Association as well as the Better Business Bureau.
