I had Ryan do some minor work during the pandemic and decided to reach out to him again for a recent project involving a leak. The leak ended up being related to bathtub plumbing instead of an actual pipe leak (got lucky). It took some detective work but he ultimately was able pinpoint it based on a bit of trial and error. He also helped cut out a previously walled up window in my garage. Like previous reviews, he does do a good job explaining what he's doing and even giving tips in the event I encounter something similar. He charges by the hour but doesn't waste time. Towards the end I consulted him on a potential for further garage remodeling and he's pretty honest about cost/scope of work/time needed on some ideas I had. He's not afraid to refer others in his network who can charge less or do a better job then he can (that's rare). I needed a pocket door repaired, electrical sockets repaired, light switches replaced, and a ventilation fan replaced because the old one was making a loud vibrating noise. Ryan was informative, resourceful, and overall a huge help. I asked a ton of questions throughout the entire job, and Ryan was extremely patient answering everything in detail. I've used Ryan twice now for a variety of plumbing and electrical work, and both times he gave exceptional service. The biggest one so far was running new wiring and switches for a new ceiling fan. I bought my condo a few months ago and there was no overhead lighting anywhere. He handled all the drilling, wiring, and drywall repair. As others have said, he's creative and very methodical. I had a small welding job that no one else would do for me because it was too small of a job. However, Ryan did the job for me and was able to help me salvage an expensive jogging stroller that would have otherwise been taken to the dump. Ryan was very polite, courteous and reliable. The builder of my home forgot to put a small piece of trimming under my roof when they built my house a few years ago. We found out about it a few days ago because a woodpecker started to sit there and peck the wood under my roof. I unfortunately couldn't fix it because my ladder wasn't high enough to reach it. I first called the company "Mr. Handyman" (Snohomish/Everett), but they wanted to reschedule their scheduled appointment with me a week later. I couldn't do that because I was afraid the woodpecker would cause too much damage if given another week. I luckily found Handy Ryan Services on Yelp and he was able to do the job in 2 days. On the day of our appointment, he communicated very well with me before his arrival. He was so easy to talk to and he completed the job fairly quick. Ryan helped us install new washer and dryer. He is very efficient and friendly. The job was not easy. Our laundry room is upstairs and the staircase is narrow. And our old washer and dryer are actually connected (not just stacked) so it's hard to move them. I was worrying a lot before he started but he made it work! I'm very happy with the installation result and the charge is fair. I can see myself call him again if I need any handyman service. :) Fyi I know usually the store where you buy washer/dryer provides free installation, but I didn't know it has to be done within 30 days after delivery... Walked me through all the potential solutions and was able to explain the pros and cons of each. He never tried to hard sell me on any costly solutions. Took time to explain exactly what he was doing and took a few quick extra steps to ensure everything got fixed to my satisfaction. Came with a ton of tools and materials, including the various caulking and putty we needed and even some grout I mistakenly thought I had. He didn't charge me for any of those materials. His pricing was fair and he made sure to schedule his work such that there was no down time waiting for materials to dry; he always kept himself busy. Excellent experience with a hard-working, local guy. I wish I had more jobs for him. I needed two pieces of angle iron cut and welded to the tongue of my travel trailer. The prospect of setting an appointment, hooking up the rig, and towing to a fabrication shop for a 30 minute job was unappealing so I went in search of a mobile welding specialist. Ryan took my call on the first try and set an appointment for the very next day. He came right to the house and did the job in my garage. In addition to being a quick and talented worker, I found Ryan to be a very pleasant guy. He was very open to me overseeing the job and even invited me to take my own measurements to ensure the pieces were exactly where I wanted them before he placed the welds. We gave him almost a day's worth of work. Some of the work was done reasonably well and other work was a disaster. He was not upfront with us about the damage he did. We didn't discover the issue until a few days later and after we paid in full. We'll have to pay someone else to either try to fix the damage or replace the damaged items (if they can be). He won't return our calls. We won't use him again and we'll look for handymen where there is more accountability in the quality of the work rather than just one guy telling us how good he is and that shows up then disappears. read more

We needed a chandelier installed at the last minute before a big party at our house. I found Ryan on Yelp and he completely saved the day. I texted him in the morning and he came out right away. The new chandelier had to be retrofitted in order to work on our low ceiling. It was pretty complicated and I was thankful to have Ryan there who obviously really knows his stuff.
