Randy confirmed an appointment, came to my house, opened up a box of furniture, then left, leaving my outside gate standing wide open. After several attempts to reach him, he texted that something had come up, and he would not be continuing on the job. He came to my house with the wrong parts. He didn't tell me this and left my house for hours. He charged me for all of this time for his mistake and the bill was about 4x what I expected. I just spoke with him on the phone and he told me I'm just one in a series of women lately who have just been "crazy." He started trying to complain to me about the last "crazy" woman he recently had to deal with. If you want to be taken advantage of by a misogynist, talked down to condescendingly and overcharged, Randy is your guy! Edit: I have it all on video & time stamped (just like these other "crazy women"). You charged me for an entire additional hour in addition to the time you showed up to my house & disappeared without any communication (which you did to these other "crazy women" too). You haven't supplied me with any receipts. Within one minute of being on the phone with you, you referred to me as a "crazy woman" simply for asking you how you came up with the invoice amount. We had Randy out to our home for two solid days of work. I had a pretty varied task list for him - electrical debugging, putting in timer switches, mounting a range hood, bathroom fixture installation, hanging mirrors, putting up blinds, and installing backsplash. Randy did an excellent job across the board. I was really happy with his eye for detail and the overall quality of his work. He paid attention to details on the backsplash, which was finicky, and the result looks great. On top of that, he was great to have around the house and very easy to work with. He was receptive to the details my wife and I cared about, but was also free with suggestions for making things better. He was a good sport and committed to us being happy with the result. Communication was solid. His rates were reasonable and he was transparent about everything. I would (and likely will) hire Randy the next time I have something that needs doing. While I'm at it, I would also recommend Randy for home inspection or as a GC. His eye for detail made me confident that he would do a great job of both. read more

We contacted Randy to come to our newly purchased home built in 1917. We are first time home buyers and used a VA loan as my husband is a disabled veteran. I let Randy know we are slim on $ and can maybe do a day a month for any work. We had him come out to start removing some sub flooring because the room had dropped and needs to be fixed. He said he needs an engineer to approve before he fixed any of it. While I tried to find a engineer he came out two or three days in a row to work on closing up our fireplace,replace some lights, close up an area of wall that was removed. Everything he started was not completed before I found an engineer and he said he was bowing out and good luck on our home. So now I'm stuck with all these started projects by him with nothing completed. I sent a message asking to at least complete what was started with no response. He is quick to get his money but not quick to answer back for anything els it seems. I'm saddened by him because we really enjoyed having him work for us on our home and trusted him. We paid him around 2k and I went and picked up materials he needed to make thing faster for him. I bought him lunch one of those days and I just feel he was more concerned about his money than his work getting done. We are left with unsafe flooring until I can find someone els to do it. All the caulking is unfinished, I have just sheet rock up incomplete and one of the lights he put up is chipped and almost falling out because the hole was cut to big. He gets to pick and choose what work he wants to do and that's fine but don't start work you won't finish and leave people stranded like us. Veteran with no extra money and paying 2k for unfinished work. I would give this zero stars if I could. read more

I had him install a dog door into my wall. He worked really fast and did a great job. Since he finished so fast, I ended up having him fix a ceiling fan, fix my fence door, and fix under the house vents. He did this all in three hours.
