Brad was very professional during the entire experience and communicated well through the process. His crew often worked long hours and were punctual. My wife and I really appreciated Brad's knowledge and creative thinking and would give great ideas when we were stuck on how to remodel certain areas of the house. I personally struggled with envisioning how each room would look after the remodel and Brad did excellent at walking me through each process of the rooms to help me develop a clearer picture of the end product. I plan on using Western Idaho Builders (Brad) on my next big project of remodeling our personal home as well. Services performed: Installed new doors, moved doors around, moved walls around, built a landing with stairs leading to the back yard, painted inside / outside, removed cement stairs and blended wall with house, framed garage door, installed new lights. I had new flooring put in my a different company but Brad did the floor prep and did a great job for the floor installers. The project was completed just over a week past the projected completion time but I primarily put the blame on the painters for this. One slight negative to the project was the painters were not very punctual, had to come back multiple times, and I am not sure the quality of paint was what I paid for due to how easily it is to scratch the paint with my fingernail on accident. The painting itself was a good job and looked very professional. Painters were subcontracted by Brad and not completed by his crew.

Steve was very friendly and educational on what he was going to do vs what other contractors do, cutting cost and efficacy. I asked about prices. Steve wasnt extremely low on price, trying to get the job not was he ridiculously expensive. We scheduled a couple days out and he arrived at his scheduled time. (We had the bathroom tile installed, backsplash removed and installed, sub-floor/laminate ripped out, base boards cut and installed and a new toilet added) Steve got to work with his son, cleanly. I left him at my house alone Bc I had to go to work. I had valuables on the counter and not one thing was touched or missing. Steve was communicative through the whole process, even when I was not at home. I asked questions throughout and he gave me choices. I am EXTREMELY pleased and excited with the work. I'm OCD so inspected every inch of his work. All the fine details are perfect (grout is even, cuts are straight, nicely cleaned up the work area). All said and done, for 2 half days of work I paid $1000. With all the reno's we are doing Steve's business was the smoothest, clearest, and most efficient. I contacted Jeff with Straightline Carpenty and arranged for him to look at it. He arrived at the scheduled time on time. It took him about 2 hrs to complete the adjustments so that the wood would feed properly. His fees were very reasonable and I should have paid more. He is very knowledgeable and just a great clean cut guy with a great personality. I have been in the construction and woodworking business for 48 years and it nice to know that there are still some young men out there with a good work ethics, eagerness to work and do quality work.
