I first went…read moreto Lowe's for an estimate and it was laughable! they wanted to pull out all the baseboard, for a start, and replace it. I have really nice 'molding' type baseboard and nothing wrong with it so no reason to pull it out except it would be easier on the installers. They were going to glue down the laminate - NOPE! even I know that you don't glue down laminate, it's a floating floor system. And so I went to Smitty's, who were wonderful! the installers were perfectionists, it looks beautiful, and the job was cheaper than Lowe's wanted. I couldn't be more pleased. I'll never go anywhere else for flooring and have rec'd them to all my friends and on NextDoor.
